    Seems like an odd decision to throw away a channel with a million subs that youve had for 10+ years to make a new one with the exact same name and content. I think taking really long breaks from RUclips with no communication and all the clickbait is what hurt your sub count. I've been following you along on this journey for about 10 years and will continue to on your new channel. I just hope this isnt a rash decision.

Men’s bodybuilding whether it be open class to the men’s physique class it’s gotten way out of hand meaning the sport has gone beyond normal. They want monsters and that equals taking more gear (a lot more gear) so much that a lot of human body’s can’t handle it and you get an inlarged heart. These companies including the all these supplement companies don’t give a shit about you me him her. It’s all about $$$. Christian, speaking as a pure OG and straight from the heart outside looking in. We get it, you’re handling multiple million dollar businesses, so you have immense pressure to perform and pay taxes/rent back etc. most of us feel assume after “making it” (which you did) you’d finally slow down, marry Heidi and settle down, take care of your health and free up your time. Instead you’re on gear, drinking nonstop energy drinks, probably have sleepless nights here and there, focus even harder than ever on businesses. We get it hard work never sleeps. You’re extremely lucky you haven’t had major health complications but you are setting yourself up for that heading into your 30s.
    If I’m being real, I just feel like Maxx kept true to himself, feels more relatable, still has the “underdog” in him. Christian on the other hand, has insane millionaire success, changed the fitness industry forever, which isn’t wrong at all. But on outside looking in, it just looks like you left your “close ones” behind like not spending as much time with Max, or Tim leaving alphalete (we don’t know but that’s just outside looking in), Nabil who wasn’t really able to record as much since CG has a team already, Kelsey who was your personal assistant, worked with you thru peak pandemic years saying she didn’t feel appreciated and working 8 job roles at same time, Dorian same issue not enough appreciation, Oz who used to work for Maxx now you kinda “indirectly” took him on your team. Kinda speaks volumes on how corporate you’ve gone. No one wants to relate to that. On top of that I get you have a public image of success but it’d nice to know the failures too like why 3D energy drinks are dead, kung fu tea x 3D energy drink collab failed etc. I get it - it’s business and can’t risk NDAs etc.
    Sorry if it comes off as an asshole, still genuine fan at the end of the day. Sending peace n love guzman.

    Ultimately you've changed as a person on camera and the CG we have just lacks the magic charisma which you had years ago which made us all fans. The real question is - is it a change of Christian on camera, or is this a real tangible change in your character?
    We liked the humble, ambitious, fun Christian who wasn't materialistic. I learn from you - the ability of earning money isn't for materialistic things, its to be able to help your family, your loves ones, support them. That cars and watches are just glorified toys. That really touched me. But recently you're the polar opposite of those quotes.

    I didn't want to jump onto the comments with huge likes already, but my thoughts resonate the same sentiments. This move feels very emotional, Christian. I do think you were hoping to achieve more/higher this year, whether it be your pro card or surpassing the 1 million subscribers and not being able to maintain it. Very much like a human "mid life crisis", when things feel stagnant or don't go your way, the basic instinct is to overhaul and redo or revamp or this or that major change. Even your videos now, though produced at extremely high quality, seem over-bedazzled like they're trying to compensate for something. So many of us have been with you from the very beginning, and it's your core that has kept us here. Not all of these edits, moody shots of you sitting in your gym, huge giveaways (greatly appreciated/generous, but not necessary), or extravagance. This channel is your essence, and I hope you find some way to keep it in the loop with any new content you choose to share with us. You are already a champ.

    Christian, I ask this with all the admiration and respect that I have gained for you over the last few years: what exactly was the purpose of starting a new channel? I mean the new channel is literally just your first and last names swapped. All you had to do was get rid of the click bait, buzzfeed-esque titles and get back to the incredibly genuine and sincere roots this channel started with. It seems like you're putting way too much pressure on yourself, man. Who cares if the subscriber count has been stagnant? You have hundreds of thousands of people who watch you and look up to you.

    • @AustinVirden
      @AustinVirden 9 месяцев назад

      I’ll tell you why; because 2 channels that get views make more money than 1. If he keeps this channel up, it’ll still get views and generate revenue. His new channel will do the same so that said; 2 sources of income from RUclips alone on top of all of the other stuff

    • @brandonwilcox3307
      @brandonwilcox3307 9 месяцев назад

      @@AustinVirden That is not AT ALL how it works. If you have two channels basically doing the same content (or worse, try to move channels), you'd be lucky to get 30% of your subscribers to move over. Also, he isn't generating any additional revenue because he isn't posting on the old channel anymore. Even if those old videos are generating revenue still, there was no reason to switch over to something brand new. It's still the same 1 source of income except he probably lost a good 50% of real human subscribers (assuming some percentage are bots and brand accounts). We'll see how summer shredding goes but I promise you, from a revenue perspective, this switch didn't make sense.

  • @seanyzay
    @seanyzay Год назад +12

    The problem I think is that people click on the video for one thing & than that thing never happens & instead of those people helping you in the algorithm by liking and staying for watch time, they click off quickly and don't click again. And only the ones that know you and your clickbait watch it through because they aren't here for that clickbait but instead for the video you put out.
    My advice/perspective:
    1. enough with the click bait, it doesn't help & it def hurts longterm
    2. keep it 90% raw. Just cg spilling his brain either to provide information, vlog style chattin shit, behind the scenes stuff from your perspective. or hell even just venting. Build up the personal connection with the audience again
    3. think back to when you were young and in fitness (or whatever your target audience is) and think of what you would've wanted out of someone you were watching. Because I can humbly say, as a viewer since 2016 I truly could not care less about a gym edit. But if you break down what you're doing, why, what substitutes your doing for whatever reason, etc it would be more interesting for me.
    4. I think you went in more of an entertainment route rather than informational. So you're only actually keeping 1 audience rather than 2. If you can merge the people that want entertainment/motivation with the people that want to learn what you're doing and what your reasonings are I think you will be better off.
    5. I think it's fair enough to say for the most part you lost the relatability factor to most of the audience so if you start to watch some other creators that are popping off like sam sulek, shizzy, tnf, etc you can get an idea of what's working for them and see you can twist that and bring it out of you.
    Just my thoughts. Love you cg and will be supporting always. You changed my life back when I was just a little fat high school kid and I will always be a part of the journey bc of that.

    I don't think making a new channel is going to fix the plateau. People have caught on to the clickbait, Mr Beast type content hamster wheel and it feels like every video is the exact same. "Hook, Retain, Reward". On the other hand, TikTok is crushing it because it's so RAW and there's no fancy editing making you feel like your attention is being squeezed for retention purposes.
    I would say, (My Opinion) if you bring back the classic RAW CG videos, you'll grow the right audience. Which brings me to my next point.
    I see a ton of RUclipsrs get so caught up with the numbers and once they reach 1M they fall from the face of the earth because they upload for the numbers and not for what they truly want to make. I'd rather have 998K subscribers and have a loyal following of 40K people than 3M and still only have 40K people loyal to my content.
    I believe the moment you completely forget about the numbers, that's when you actually start seeing growth. There's no social media algorithm tactic that can break authenticity.

For example a lot of showing clothing and stuff, non-directly advertising. Yet those non-direct advertisements, i think, have brought a lot of awareness for Christians businesses, and, i think, allowed huge growth there. Things like Alphaland have huge success because of all the awareness Christian has been able to generate with RUclips channel. But I feel lots of content may bore a lot of peak mindset people in area of training, purpose, mindset-building, hardcore gym training etc. If there is a lot of advertising on a channel, it effectively makes the videos hit with watered down motivation to certain viewers.

The online “business influencer” space is exploding right now and to see someone literally BUILDING a business and vlogging it I think would attract a massive audience. With all the online businesses starting up there are plenty of “how to do this and that” channels but very few “watch me to do it in real time” channels”, and there are plenty of people hungryy to SEE someone doing it.

    the main reason your channel and people like Charles Trippy aren't getting as many views or Subs anymore is because the whole daily Vlog Style videos are not as popular as they once were.you're still lucky you're getting 30 to 40,000 views every video.and probably 4 years ago the people that were watching you are no longer watching you anymore people now tune in to watch podcast and reaction videos but also RUclips is focusing on RUclips shorts more than long form content. so starting a new channel is not good

    I think I echo others here when I say the style of videos changed and I just, kind of, for me anyway, stopped relating? I used to watch you religiously in 2016-2018/19, but since Alphaland, the videos are just not as raw? I found Maxx through your earlier videos and now I watch him RELIGIOUSLY. His videos are raw, and fun, and I feel like I'm watching a mate, relatable, etc not an influencer. I think you just need to be chlll with it, pick the camera up yourself, and let the audience in again. I started to feel like you had pulled away from your audience and I felt on the outside...I miss the Alaska vlogs, the chats when you're going through it keeping us motivated. I don't think your audience are all aspiring pro bodybuilders...We are aspiring entrepreneurs, normal folk, normal lives, trying to make it and I personally used to love your videos as I knew I could relate to you and aspire to follow you. Go back to the old Guzman, you got this!

    Damn you went on that juice hard core. That hairline disappearing faster than your sub count.
