Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
I've built two of these book cases and the design is awesome. My one recommendation is to use a 3/4" datto blade in a table saw to create channels to house the boards prior to the glue up. The first shelf I built with out this is starting to warp a bit probably due to climate shifts while the other has remained square. Just a quick tip for anyone that has a datto stack available. Great case either way!

Me encanta todo lo que hacen , mi padre es carpintero y ahora valoro su trabajo , ya no la trabaja pero esto me anima a hacerlo 👏👏👍,Felicidades son unos genios !!!
Great video I loved how she put that book case together once she had all the sections put together. It sure makes it easier to do. It gives me ideas of building one now. That little dog is sure cute i usually see him in all your builds. I thank you again for that well a well designed book case.
I’ve been watching this channel for years and have build a couple of amazing pieces with the help of your videos. Love how easy your tutorials are and creative too (ikea hacks etc). Keep up the amazing work!
Don't you guys get tired of being so darn stupendous?. You guys are definitely a power house. I enjoyed and look forward to your videos. Love you guys!.
Awesome! Was planning on doing this soon! I was thinking about running a second, parallel set of overhead storage further in over the garage door. Thinking having the storage entirely joist-supported should be fine for another couple hundred pounds. They are holding up a roof and a second story after all. 1:56
Thank you for this. I have an rv with these awkward closets next to the bed. 😝 Ive been thinking hanging shelves would make them much more mariekono ready. Watching your video showed me what i need to think about...how to hang them so they dont pull out if the top!! Seems basic, but i would have made them and not thought about it beforehand if i hadnt watched you. So, thank you. Ill go out and poke around and see whatwill work before i desing them now. 4:54
Great job! Been looking for a better garage storage system! I think I'm going to go with this on at least two walls! Thanks for sharing your project! 5:58
Great job and fantastic video! Just one question. If you used only 48" boards how'd the height reach 54"? I maybe missing something and only ask because I am building 2 for my sister and the dimensions are exactly the same! Thanks!
if you're going to build a bookcase like this using cheap softwood you should probably just paint it rather than trying to stain it- the finished result is very spotty due to uneven stain absorption, not to mention that wood is just full of knots. you should also check your boards to avoid buying stuff like the cupping seen at 1:32
I built 3 furniture from you videos. Thanks! This one will be next! If you dont mind, what color is that fireplace in the background? Thanks in advance!
My first thought was entertainment center Putting my tv in the middle😍😍😍 ill PayPal you for a custom plan🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. I followed your farmhouse table plan completely last year and I get compliments ALL THE TIME. I love my table Thank you so much guys
@@djp9488 well the wonderful thing about tools is that many powertools have a cheaper hand powered version. Just because they use expensive tools doesn't mean you have to.
@@djp9488 the ones with more expensive tools do it for a living obviously though. Your first comment made it sound like it was a negative to make use of more expensive tools.
Hi I really love your guys work and appreciate how you show all the measurements of everything. I was wondering if you guys sell stuff online or just do stuff locally . I’m trying to sell some of my own stuff and am having a hard time finding an audience.
Age Vizz I think you could. I bought some cheap scrap pieces of 1” MDF to make shelves for my garage a couple years ago. Using nails, they’ve held up very well and feel solid as wood. I painted with Kilz just because I had a can. I also read somewhere that you should protect MDF from moisture, as the bare surface could swell or get messed up, like bare particle board if it gets too wet. I would definitely use MDF again for interior projects like this.
Hey, you are doing many many nice projects! I like to watch your channel! My little hobby is to build rolls under every thing I make - that's so useful! Where is your wife?
Can all of these measurements be cut at Lowe’s/Home Depot and I just assemble at home?? I’m not very handy with cutting but I can follow directions with a drill and nails lol
Do you have plans for something about half the height? I need something similar to this for books but I want it to sit under my window which sits around 28"" high. Thanks!
@the rehab life Help! @rehap I just bought the materials and are gonna go cut them. However, I just realized eight of 48" long wood won't yield two of 48" long + four of 46 1/2" long + two of 19" long + four of 13" long pieces. How did you guys make that work since it looks like you guys only bought 8 of 48" long wood like I did.
Wow beautiful book case ,where we can buy wood? .Today i went to home-depot to buy wood . It cost $359 just for wood . where to buy wood to not cost that much.?????

Love your vids.... I made the farmhouse bench.. it came absolutely beautiful.. tks guys :)
Good job is beautiful, thanks...
how much did it all cost?
What type of wood was used in this project?
Could this be used as a tv stand for a 65 in tv
Would it look off if I do 8 in harpin legs or no?
Hi is this regular common wood off the shelves from big box? Or the better one?
Great job and fantastic video! Just one question. If you used only 48" boards how'd the height reach 54"? I maybe missing something and only ask because I am building 2 for my sister and the dimensions are exactly the same! Thanks!
cool build. and look out for the members of osha on here watching your projects
Did the plans update for the lower shelves so you can put both bins on and more easily? 2:24
How do you get the wood so flat and perfect?
Such a stunning product and you don't actually need many tools! P.s. Love your centrepiece 😜
Never thought of that! Wicked idea!! Thank you 1:48

Anyone know what kid of lumber was used? I plan on taking the specs to Lowes this week (i don't own any equipment).
Can I use a brad nailer instead of screws?

Love hearing that!
I hope you can make a tall bookcase i can follow please ty.
What i love about The Rehab Life, you can make awesome stuff without having to breakout 1 million dollars worth of tools.
The real question is who are you watching with $1m worth of tools?
1 million is obviously an exaggeration. Surf around RUclips and you will see folks using tools that cost an arm and a leg.
@@djp9488 well the wonderful thing about tools is that many powertools have a cheaper hand powered version. Just because they use expensive tools doesn't mean you have to.
That's exactly my point in my original post. You have taken a whole circle and boiled down to the same thing i said in an exaggerated sort of way.
@@djp9488 the ones with more expensive tools do it for a living obviously though. Your first comment made it sound like it was a negative to make use of more expensive tools.
I find it so odd that the books are placed with the spine facing the back of the bookshelf. How do you know what book your picking up?
It's secret code
I made this for my office and it was perfect!!!
Yay!
What type of wood did you use ?
Marla Smith white pine

Love this channel you guys are the best make everything seem soo easy! In my mind am like Ican do that omorro no bigge
would you be able to make this same book shelf with MDF?
Age Vizz I think you could. I bought some cheap scrap pieces of 1” MDF to make shelves for my garage a couple years ago. Using nails, they’ve held up very well and feel solid as wood. I painted with Kilz just because I had a can. Yay Henry!Oh...the shelf is great too!
Can you guys built rustic pine furniture for kids?
We haven't before but we can consider it!
Did we need the impact driller or is just the drill OK?
A drill is fine as well as long as you have the right bit for the trim head screws (which often comes with the package)
Hey, you are doing many many nice projects! I like to watch your channel!
My little hobby is to build rolls under every thing I make - that's so useful!
Where is your wife?
Are you securing it to the wall at all or is it stable enough in those feet?
It's stable enough on the feet.
the bomb ..!!! love it...!!!
Nice Job
Might be a stupid question but if I added four inches to all these measurements it would still work right? And just be bigger?
I would totally love to know the answer to this...did you try it?
How much was the wood for this?
Great job girl.
Nice work
Can all of these measurements be cut at Lowe’s/Home Depot and I just assemble at home?? I’m not very handy with cutting but I can follow directions with a drill and nails lol
What was the total cost of project?
Can you do a video showing
how to built a very easy round table
me dejaron sorprendido, la manera que pre-diseñaron el ensable, muchas gracias!!!

I believe the costs are well over a hundred dollars if the wood is purchased...
