3:48 that swivel piece fell off the right leg for me as soon as I tried to move it, while transforming from robot to alt. So they sent me a replacement and the exact same thing happened on the same leg! Do yours seem pretty secure?! i'm heartbroken because I really really love this figure :(
Oh no! I don't have King Bee anymore but those pieces did hold up on mine. I think it's because I did a little preemptive work on them, though. I saw reports of them failing that were theorizing it was because the ball that's connected to them is too snug in the socket on the side of the leg, which results in rotating the piece at the screw/pin rather than the ball joint itself. So I put a bit of shock oil in the joint (I've got a video on the process here: ruclips.net/video/aXbUSw6UTUI/видео.html) and carefully moved it around a bit until it could move more smoothly and that seemed to keep everything working.
@@RobsteinOne Helpful video for tightening and loosening joints. Thnx! i definitely have some figures that need that. i'm confused what you mean by the ball joint in this case, though. The swivel piece I am referring to is the piece that becomes the rear fender of the vehicle, with the red tail light on the back. Mine is attached (or was, rather) by a single pin that allows it to swivel within a 2-dimensional plane. Are you saying the pin is actually inside a ball joint that connects it to the external leg panel?

Unless there was a change in later productions there should be a gray piece that the pin sits inside, which is nestled into the lrg panel (I mean "leg" panel but I was typing with one hand because of a cat on my lap). That gray piece is the ball, and I think the problem we all ran into was the ball and socket connection being way more tight than the ball-to-pin connection. My thinking was that loosening up the ball (via shock oil in this case) would balance it out so that the pin connection would become the stronger of the two, then it would be less likely to pop itself apart.
@@RobsteinOne wooooow I didn't even realize. makes logical sense. the damage is already done for me but maybe I'll check the good legs to see if any shock oil is needed. thanks for the info!
