It's big, it's beautiful! The only major improvement I can see to make is that there's a lot of energy lost from the water being forced to change direction as it goes into the inlet for the turbine. That might be the reason the water was so turbulent behind the floodgate. You don't necessarily want the water sloshing around like that before it goes through the system because that velocity could have been maintained all the way to the impeller of the turbine. Instead the velocity of the water is stopping at the floodgate to make that 90 degree turn than speeding up again from 0. You don't even have to do a rebuild to solve that, all you need to do is turn the floodgate 90 degrees and the water can flow through the turbine with more energy because it will have more velocity. You're making good head (water pressure) but you want velocity too, not just one or the other. A lot of your other builds seem to go for velocity but not head. I give this dam 91 out of 100. I'd love to see you next one have both high head and high velocity, that means smooth/laminar flow through the entire system until it gets to the impeller/turbine, then it just needs to be expelled efficiently which you're already doing.
Did you actually manage to match the turbine feed rate with the rate the stream was flowing at the end or was that just a happy accident? Either way, seeing the water just sit right at the mouth of the spillway without going over was just oooh so satisfying! Also, how long do these builds typically last and what is their most common failure mode?
👍 The energy from the flow, especially if the bigger flow is utilized, could do more work of lighting, probably a small neighborhood than just light the filaments. My thought.
I am very impressed how you made your own concrete blocks and build everything yourself. You are a very inspirational person to watch. Excellent Job 👍👍👍👏
Can i ask you? With what materials are you doing the cement? Beacause i want to do some work with my friends with the cement😊 By the way your videos are SOOOOOOOO good👍👍👍

i want to see what happens to one of these dams in a rain storm
That turbine looks like it could actually generate alot of power, you should try measuring it
