  • Sarah struggled to express her feelings. Often her pull (encouragement) for Chuck was quite subtle. Here are clips of the times where Sarah expressed her feelings for Chuck. Some were also quite open and loving.

    I just realized, that picture of the two of them, in her suitcase, is the same one Chuck stared at in his room after the "it can never be real" speech, AND the same one she threw the pen through the following episode, when she was annoyed that he was trying to find out about her past.

    They are by a country mile the best TV couple ever. They have so much chemistry, they bring the best out of each other and they have the deepest love as well
    Nick and Jess from New Girl are 2nd place

    Chuck is one of the best TV Romance/Action/Comedy tv shows! I want a Chuck Movie! C'mon someone make it happen and take my money! Cast was the best and Yvonne, Zach, Adam all put so much into their characters that I loved all of them!

      I agree, it was a great show. It has been so long I'm not very optimistic for a movie, but if done right it could be great.

      @@SteveFresca-qk1vdI don't think it's really necessary. The ending was amazing as is. I'd put it as my #3 ending, behind only those for White Collar and Justified (the original series, not the City Primeval BS)

    This scene/that response has always hit me as one of the most innocent but most unbelievably sexy exchanges between the two of them. Her line delivery and just the look on her face, was just...perfect.

    Yvonne in Chuck is the best tv series actor ever. Every second, every tone, every expression is always completely believable, realistic and brings a depth into what without her would have been a probably adequate series like Lucifer or whatever.

      Season 4 was pretty awesome too, especially the episode where Sarah saves Chuck from the Belgian. The whole Volkof thing was amazing, as well. It's just too bad that certain aspects of Season 5 made some things in season 4 not make sense. Given that Beckman was able to order Decker to drop the kill order on Morgan, I don't really understand why she couldn't have just ordered him to stand down when he was trying to stop Chuck from saving Sarah.

    Great video overall, well done! The Episode # and time stamp is an awesome addition! 👍
    (only suggestion would be to move it to a bottom corner or something. Where you've got it kinda puts it in the scene focus a lot of the time. )

      @@SteveFresca-qk1vd You've definitely made them subtle which is good. When they are showing over faces though, which they do a notable amount, even subtle can be pretty noticeable.
      Don't take this feedback as criticism though. Overall you've done an excellent job. I'm watching through some of your other videos now! Thanks for making them!

    In the scene from episode 6, Sarah is basically telling him (despite what she says later on in the truth serum episode) that she doesn't consider it to be "just a cover." Unfortunately, as usual, it goes completely over Chuck's head.
    A little off topic, but I think the Jill episodes actually helped their relationship, somewhat. The whole situation not only gave Chuck closure, but also the confidence that yes, he could manage to get a gorgeous woman to like him. And I think it kind of made Sarah realize that maybe she needed to do something before this kind, wonderful man was potentially out of her life. But of course, Sarah being who she was, still dragged her feet for most of the rest of season 2.

    • @SteveFresca-qk1vd
      @SteveFresca-qk1vd  8 месяцев назад +3

      The Jill arc fits with the Bryce Arc. They both had to get over a past relationship before they could move on to a new relationship. The song playing at Bryce's funeral is Challengers by the New Pornographers. It is about a couple in love but both trapped in a relationship. They have to end those relationships so they can be together. Once again the music enhances the plot.

      @@SteveFresca-qk1vd But the writers prolonged it for too long. At the end of the first season, when Chuck thinks he's being taken away, it's pretty clear that he recognizes that Sarah feels the same way about him. So as awesome as season 2 is, in retrospect, it makes no sense that Chuck would revert to being so oblivious. IMO the scene in 3x13 where Sarah answers his question about whether she loves him, seems a bit forced, like the writers knew they pushed it too far. I've always liked the scene in the hotel in Paris much better.

      @@SteveFresca-qk1vdAlways the best insight. I’m probably the novice here on Team Bartowski so I’m sure I missed a lot of things. If I could say anything about this show other than the obvious is the music blew my mind. Some of these songs are burned into my brain now and I dig that! Keep up the great work!

      I mean, they work in a field where lies and deception are the norm, and he knows that his partners are some of the best spies in the world, so what's he supposed to think when he keeps getting told contradicting things by different people?
      He can be absolutely sure that Sarah loves him, but unless she expresses that herself, it's still just all in his head, and like he says when he asks her to run away with him, he's seen Morgan go down the route of hounding the girl too many times to make the same mistake.

    • @SteveFresca-qk1vd

      Well.....that was not well thought out. He would never have seen his sister, or best friend again. Those were the most important people in his life. Added to that, a life on the run, is not much of a life. What is not well done was his refusal was not well explained by him. But you could also say that he knew he could not stay long or he would have caved in. Also the song, I think its called "my backwards walk", is very telling to the scene. He is walking away from her while facing her as she is the guide for his life and walk. It is a great song, the meaning of the lyrics, play exactly to his feelings.

      Well in a storytelling, the hero, to be seen as such, must fit several criteria, some of them : They are driven by a higher sense of good. They prioritize their duty to a more just cause above their own interests and they are willing to sacrifice their personal happiness to achieve this standard of goodness. In this, they are absolutists. They are honest and sincere in their quest for happiness and it cannot be complete if they know that they have not completed their mission.
      That's what Chuck tries to explain to Sarah when he is in the vault (S03E02)...
      Don't forget, Chuck is a hero: he embodies what being a good person means, without concession. And that is exactly why Sarah loves him: without him she looses her sens of good and evil and she's nothing but a spy.

    A good run, although, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'pull'. Could it also be seen as Chuck pulling in Sarah? Maybe not. He was pretty upfront about things.

    • @SteveFresca-qk1vd
      @SteveFresca-qk1vd  8 месяцев назад +4

      I used the term "pull" to say that Sarah was expressing her affection for Chuck. She is pulling him in. As opposed to pushing him away by saying "its just a cover" or showing affection to someone else, Bryce, Cole, or Shaw. I also have a video of Chucks "pulls" here. ruclips.net/video/dNjuoE8QmpY/видео.html

      Too early. She definitely flirted and told him she wanted to be kissed, but was it just to reinforce the cover? Chuck was still way to insecure to believe otherwise.

    • @ErikLeber-td7oj
      @ErikLeber-td7oj 2 месяца назад

      @@SteveFresca-qk1vd True. But there was no one else around, so she wasn't really needing to sell the cover, in that instance. I just restarted watching the whole series again, and she way overreacted to his suspecting her of having killed the doctor and wanting to kill him, in the second episode. If anything, in that instance, she should've been much more angry at Casey, for giving Chuck that idea in the first place. I think clearly that was just a case of the usual female passive aggressive crap, where they act like they're mad about one thing, when it's really about something else entirely. I think she was more mad at him that he hadn't figured out that she meant it when she told him that she liked him, in the first episode. It's somewhat similar how she gets mad at him in season 4 for not wanting to elope, where she's really never over the situation with her family.

    • @SteveFresca-qk1vd
      @SteveFresca-qk1vd  2 месяца назад

      @@ErikLeber-td7oj You are right in that she went "outside" the cover and expressed her feelings. Chuck did not pick up on that. Sometimes he did not see it, like when she told Lou not to hurt him.

    • @MFAN1100
      @MFAN1100 2 месяца назад

      I mean, he knows they're dating as a cover, hasn't had a proper girlfriend since Jill (which ended terribly and left him with some scars), as well sa not having a ton of self confidence.
      It's easy for him to have doubts that she's just trying to pull him in because of the job, for him to grow more attached to her and trust her more.

    • @ErikLeber-td7oj
      @ErikLeber-td7oj Месяц назад

      @@MFAN1100But there also are a lot of inconsistencies in this regard. He clearly knows that she has real feelings for him at the end of the first season. And even the way he sarcastically says "I know I'm just an asset," would seem to imply that he knows she said that just to try to convince Roan. And even the way he tries to convince Bryce, in 2x3, that nothing is going on, makes it pretty clear that he knows she has actual feelings for him, even before Bryce directly tells him. And yet, for some reason, most of the rest of the season he reverts back to being confused about the situation. For instance, when we see the back of the Tron poster, he apparently heard her say her middle name, in 1x4. But he even questions this rather unimportant detail. It seems like a rather insignificant thing for her to lie about. So even with the situation such as it was, Chuck was kind of a feeb.
