The irony is, Sarah actually fell for him before Chuck fell for her. Throughout the pilot, it's obvious that he thinks he has no chance. And then, the first few episodes, he's just worried about getting the intersect out of his head. The truth serum episode is the first time he even wonders if it can actually be real. But for Sarah, it was always real. It's obvious that she actually means it when she says "I like you Chuck," during their first date in the pilot. And she practically begs him to say that he loves her during their "first real date."
Excellent job, Steve. Definitely encapsulated all of Chuck's obvious expressions to Sarah. Which up until the castle scene in American Guy, she rebuffed him. It would be interesting to see her side of those situations and all the times she shut him down. It was for two reasons. One, her job was on the line. She was not supposed to be involved with her asset. Second, she had never been in that situation where she developed strong feelings for anyone. It frightened her. She didn't know what she was feeling. It wasn't until the middle of S2 that she realized her feelings were love--she loved him. And yet, things still came between them until Paris. Looking back, after finally recognizing her true feelings, she could say that she "fell" for him almost from the beginning. The same as he felt. Thing just seemed to get in the way. Some logical (her job), some serious (his wanting to be a real spy), and some contrived (much of S3).
Wow this is the perfect comment for this show. The show may have been titled chuck but the premise of the show was Sarah vs the spy world.
This is so well don’t as I’m here watching for 3 time this year because nothing else on tv seems interesting enough to watch. I’m almost at season 3 and I really am struggling with wanting to hit the play button.
Yeah, season three is the "Misery Arc" but the god news is once you past E13 it is all good.
As an aside, there is some interesting use of reflections in several of these clips. Thanks.
The best line for me is that sarah said" everything I care about is in this building " I don't know which season or episode that's the best for me between chuck n sara relationship ❤❤
S3E18 about 18 minutes in. And yes it is a great line.

In 108, she teases him saying that they have to make love, and then when she shows up, she shuts him down. 'What did you think was going to happen here tonight." Kind of a cheap shot to the fans, teasing them closing the deal only 8 episodes in. She should have said something like, and Sarah the handler would have, 'We need everyone to think we're sleeping together, so I'm going to have to spend the night at your place soon.' It would have made her showing up and blocking him, so to speak, more smooth. The way she set it up, he should have been expecting to perform, so to speak. Especially when she shows up in a trench coat and that cute little purple outfit. This sequence should have been worked out more smoothly when they were writing it. The way it airs it's very clunky and Sarah seems all the more manipulative for her behavior. Especially in the light of what she says later on about falling for him very early on.
Or all they had to write in was I'm spending the night at Sarah's, which if you note, he never did.

Love the clips, but why did you cut the fountain scene (where he tells her he can't move in with her) before his line about eventually getting the Intersect out of his head and being with the girl he loves?
Fair question. I tried to keep the video from getting too long. So I tried to edit out pauses, and stuff that was not exactly germane to the intent of the video. Might have pooched that one. Thanks for the catch.

He told her his feelings too much, and she often burned him for it. Chuck was a whining apologist, which I expected would evolve during the seasons but didn't.
