So only Batman gets a happy ending. I wish BATMAN RETURNS had ended the way THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK had, with a tragic cliffhanger that would be resolved in the third film. Channel Awesome's "FanScription" rewrote the film in this style and did pretty well with it. Best of all, they were able to bring back Harvey Dent (Billy Dee Williams).
I think all the characters are meant to show what is created from Gotham’s corruptions. Max Shreck is greed driven businessman, The Penguin is a villain started by society rejecting him, and Selina is someone that is always walk on by the upper class.
For most of my life, I was kind of embarrassed that I liked this movie more than Batman 89 since people saw the latter as the superior movie. But now I kind of just embrace it. As much as I love Batman 89, it’s very simple. You go into it knowing exactly what you’re gonna get. Joker does some funny yet scary stuff and Batman stops him. That’s basically the synopsis. But Batman Returns is super weird, experimental, and unique. There’s really no other story like it. While not comic accurate, Danny DeVito’s Penguin is an interesting new take on the character. He’s almost reminiscent of classic gothic stories like Phantom of the Opera. Catwoman also isn’t the most comic accurate take but again, it’s still a welcome change. To put it simply, this movie feels like you’re watching an original piece of art

Literally no one says it’s a bad movie. People say it’s a bad Batman movie, which is true. But this movie was one of my foundation films. I feel like this video is pointless. 😂
I never thought it was a bad movie, for me it is one of the best due to the closest approach to the mystical aspect of batman, the city and christmas time. I even played the game based on this movie!
I would explode if they did a Batman 3. It could happen but likely won't. Since Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer still look great it could be amazing to return to that world all these years later.
As much as I can remember, a lot of people appreciated this movie a lot when it came out. The problem was that WB and some parents thought that the movie was not kid-friendly and too scary for kids, which WB thought it might hurt Batman toy sales (McD's happy meals)
Shows how out of touch they are. Loved this movie as a kid. It works brilliantly both on the kid level and the adult level. Really the optimal blockbuster if the object is to make money while also having a good film.
i loved this movie as a kid but and still do but can see that the sexualization probably was what parents really didnt like lol and the darkeness per se, it went hard but we l loved it
Personally my favourite Batman movie, I've always it as a dark Christmas carole with the villians as the Christmas ghosts. Max Shrek is the wealth and corporate side to Bruce gone wrong, Penguin being the ophran made monstrous and Catwoman whose spirit Bruce is most Kindled with his vengeance and true self put to its extreme which it's already on a thin line. Bruce may be hypercritical when trying to stop Selina killing Max as even after he had his revenge with Joker, the killing never stopped. Tim Burton's Batman maybe darker still then the Ben Affleck's iteration as he doesn't find redemption he's still the same just left cold. Great video man.
I saw it in 1992 at the cinema, it's bloody awesome and one of the best Batman films ever. Keaton will always be my Batman. Great video, thanks for making it and sharing.
Man...the light and shadows, the winter depression atmosphere, christmas and the City, the entire gothic style and feeling in each and every scene...the places and character arcs...the foggy deceiving cinematics..this really is a Tim burton movie...especially the Addition of Danny elfman it just gets me everytime when the christmas start...
Batman returns was AWESOME and so underrated! Danny Devito penguin was EPIC! He doesn't get the respect/credit he deserves for killing that role! Such a great movie with a strong cast!
Danny Devito's acting was almost Shakespearean. His theater-style acting really blended well with Tim Burton's style. Penguin's monologues were really well acted, well written, and well shot.
Honestly I think the best thing about Penguin is that he's playing everyone, which really feels like Burton further exploring his 'freaks and misfits vs society/the establishment' ideas by having the freak use Schreck's own ploy and ingratiate himself into society for his purposes; and Batman *knows* what he's doing because to some extent they're on the same path. I've seen so many people claim that Oswald's plot with the kids comes out of nowhere, or that he doesn't know who his parents were before looking into the records; he absolutely does, and Batman calls it. Because Oswald - as much as he's been brought up in a sewer - gets *people*; he openly blackmails Schreck but masks his true purposes, and he does the same more subtly with Gotham overall. He uses their sympathy to basically contribute to the plot to kill their own kids. It's really great character stuff.
I think most people understand the film, it's just a pretty unpleasant obnoxious mess at times. I'll still say I love the visual representation of Gotham, but it's far from impossible to understand. It's just really upsetting, and not in a "you just don't get it" way, it's just not a fun movie. That said, I still love it re-watching it, even more so than the first 80's film. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer the animated series' take
It’s my favorite Batman film for sure, and yeah I’ve seen them all. Everything comes together so well and affects me like no other movie of its genre. It’s so damn cathartic watching Selina’s desperate, chaotic transformation into Catwoman, seeing the sad parallels between Oswald’s birth and his fall from grace, and Bruce’s loneliness, which is there at the beginning and at the end. This video was great. Agree with everything.
100% agree with everything in this. I was obsessed with Batman Returns when it was released in cinemas, was too young to see it and had to wait for the home video release and it felt like an eternity to my 11 year old mind. It’s definitely my favourite Batman film (followed by either 89 or Begins) and I watch it every Christmas. Excellent video. Thanks to this I’m now about to check out some more of your videos. :)
I remember it used to take what felt like 6 months for the video stores to get some big blockbuster films after their theatrical release. I guess they gotta milk it for all it's got!
I had forgot about this movie but recently rewatched it for the holiday season as it was on cable and ended up liking waaaay more than I thought I would have.
Batman Returns has remained my #1 Christmas *and* Batman film since I was 4 years old. I remember watching the hell out if this movie on VHS over and over again.. To me, it’s an underrated classic.
Fun fact: Tim Burton and Michael Keaton both prefer this movie over Batman 89. Burton also even stated the 89 movie was dull, boring at times and was too interfered by WB, while Returns is much closer to what he originally intended for the original.
@@integrity101 Burton himself confessed to Empire in 1992: “I liked parts of it, but the whole movie is mainly boring to me. It’s okay, but it was more of a cultural phenomenon than a great movie.”
Still my favorite Batman movie to this day. Tim Burton had such a great understanding of Batman that they modeled the very well regarded animated series on it. It's the most adult Batman; the most Gothic Batman; the realest Batman. Everything since has just been shadows!
I had the same experience with 'Batman Returns' as a kid that I had with 'The Empire Strikes Back' - for years, it was my least favorite of the series, on account of being the darkest and least fun, and then I grew up and it became my favorite of the series, because it was the darkest and most interesting.
Teenaged me loved this movie purely because it was "dark." ~20-year-old me hated it because it was "silly" and not as "realistic" as the Nolan films, as well as portraying a wild and less heroic Batman. Present me has a much greater appreciation both for larger-than-life/weird movies and for the persistent subtext throughout this and '89 that Keaton's Batman is not and never should be an aspirational figure; he's so detached he doesn't even know how to better himself.
For me this is tied with "The Dark Knight" as my favorite Bat-film. Batman Returns is totally underrated and no other movie nailed Gotham better than this one IMO.
Batman Returns was always my favorite out of the 3(Batman&Robin is not canon). These were the first superhero movies I saw so all are very nostalgic. Especially comparing to superhero movies today, which is mainstream, back then, there weren't that many good ones
I was between 5 or 6 years old when this film was released. I see some threads that play into later Batman films(such as the "Die a Hero" speech from TDK and the jaded Batman from BvS). So much subtext exists that I can't help to think that both Nolan and Snyder took inspiration from Burton for their versions of The Dark Knight. As an unapologetic lover of this film, I can't gush enough about this film. From the symbol being used by Bruce being essentialy the version as used by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm for the Animated series. To the stellar performances of the 3 villains, Michelle being considered 30 years later as the quintessential cinematic Catwoman, Danny DeVito being unrecognizable as Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot and Christopher F**KIN Walken. To the oft neglected holiday melancholy. To the superbly gothic score by Danny Elfman. Great vid as always Film
@@n.b.l.5709I love the Batman, but I think it gets lost in the end while Returns ending is soooo well done. I love the way they finish Penguin, Catwoman, Max and Batman's arcs all at once instead of finishing important parts of it, then moving to a long, long sequence with people who aren't the antagonist.
Thank you for pointing out some layers and angles that far too few do. From the opening lines of "Merry Christmas", to the pivotal role Christmas trees and mistletoe play in the plot, to the final exchange "Ah, come what may Mr Wane, Merry Christmas. And goodwill to men... and women" Batman Returns is a Christmas movie that focuses on the more lonely, depressing feelings that are so common during the holiday. Without a doubt my favorite live-action Batman movie.
This was the number 1 film at the Box Office the day I was born. I grew up watching it on VHS. It will always have a very special nostalgic place in my heart. Catwoman in this film was basically the first time I knew the difference between girls being "cute" and being "hot"
It is one of the movies that I rewatch at least fleetingly each holiday season. A true Christmas classic, indeed. I think that releasing it as a summer blockbuster hurt the reputation, too.
If you truly love Batman, you can appreciate that this is the ultimate Batman movie. He wrestles with some of his greatest conflicts like his freakish affect on his universe, unintended inspiration and the reflection of himself in Selina’s turmoil. This further extends into why Batman Forever, though much more cheesy, is also an excellent Batman film dealing with the final resolution of this conflict with Robin.
I was crushed as an eight-year-old seeing the cover of Parade that Keaton dropped out of Batman, and it was being recast. We would never see the fruit of another Burton/Keaton labor.
Yeah when I was a kid I really loved watching Tim Burtons Batman films for being dark and awesome and I still enjoy them even though some people in my family find them sometimes Comicy (which Im like yeah it looks like a comic but it definitely has a Change of pace of what comic movies look like in tone it isn't like Batman 1960s its more a Batman anytime )
I personally disagree that Catwoman took over Selina and she lost herself, I saw her killing Schreck as a rebirth. Batman pretty obviously kills multiple thugs in Batman '89 and Returns, yet the story dismisses it without much thought. Catwoman, however, is forced to choose between her "happily ever after" with Bruce, or bringing herself down to the level of the people she's fighting against. However, she does what needed to be done - she took care of a powerful, rich evil-doer in a city where those people are never righteously dealt with. And instead of being punished by the universe for it, she lives another day. I think if there were more Burton movies, she would've become a vigilante fighting for victims of society like she once was. Throughout Returns, her suit is tearing apart, showing how she herself is falling apart at the seams. In the end, after killing Schreck, her suit is sewn back together. First society (we live in-) destroyed her, then she destroyed herself, and then she put herself back together.
When them penguins buried (synbolically) The Penguin, ain't gonna lie, my tear ducts started malfunctioning.... And Danny Elfman's score accompanying it, had my bottom lip quivering....
I was a toddler when Batman Returns came out. It was the first Batman movie I had ever seen and my grandpa took me to see it because I loved Batman stuff. It's always been my favorite Batman movie.
I love Batman Returns so goddamn much. The problem fully centers around the push to market it as a kids movie combined with the pearl clutching of soccer moms. It's perfect! Everything about it cemented my love for Batman and comics in general. Also, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is just *chefs kiss* 🤌
I’ve always been willing to die on the mountain that is Batman Returns. It is better than the original, more polished, the characters are better fleshed out, and I absolutely LOVE the dynamic chemistry Bruce and Selina have here. Sure it’s toxic as hell, but damn is it perfect. Chef’s kiss. As someone whose had a rough year in so many ways it’s definitely the comfort level i’m looking for when it comes to watching a Christmas movies. Great stuff mate 👍
Thanks dude! Yeah I almost feel like the toxicity of it is kind of the point in a lot of ways. It’s a pretty off putting movie, but purposefully so and effectively so. The character work doesn’t get enough credit in this film, especially Bruce with how little screen time he really has.
I always saw their relationship more as tragic than toxic - both characters are so broken, which makes them perfect for each other, and the film teases the possibility that they might find some level of healing, only to snatch it away. Just my take, anyway.
This was great. Soon as I spotted your video in my recommendations and me loving the Tim Burton Batman movies to death with constant rewatches and even wrote a Tim Burton Batman 3 fanfic featuring Professor Pyg and Chip Shreck as the main villains while introducing a young Barbara Gordon, Harvey Bullock and Selina's return. I instantly clicked on and loved this video. Batman 89 is my all time favorite but I do love Returns and infact it was these two movies that introduced me to Batman and DC as a whole. Great stuff and got yourself a new subscriber
Idk if you read comics but they released one called Batman 89 that takes place in the Tim Burton universe and was supposedly going to be explored in a 3rd film had Burton gotten to direct. It’s got great art and is written by Sam hamm. The guy that co wrote Batman 89 and returns
I've always found the charge that this movie is "too dark" and "nihilistic" funny when really critics of this film are simply incapable of seeing past what are really merely superficial aesthetic idiosyncrasies and subtle nuances they don't like. Too bad because they don't know what they're missing. Oh and Siouxsie Sioux's "Face to Face" is awesome.
Batman 89 is a pretty straight forward action movie and follows the 3 Act "action movie formula" pretty well... That "3 Act Structure" basically is, Act 1: We meet the Hero and the Villain. Act 2: The Villain causes problems and the Hero chases the Villain. Act 3: The Hero catches and/or kills the Villain, The End! ...Every James Bond film, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon ect... follows that structure, audiences are accustomed to it, and expect that... The "3 Act Structure" of a Hollywood motion picture is like the "Verse/Chorus/Verse" structure of a Top 40 Pop Song... if you stray away from it? The general public gets, confused, uncomfortable, or bored... The Dark Knight is that, actually The Dark Knight is basically a Dirty Harry remake with the Harvey Dent story woven into it... but Batman Returns is not that at all, so it's a big part of why it's not as popular
This is by far your best essay (and that’s really saying something). Maybe its the subject matter I’m connecting with) But you forget one massive important key to this film… screenwriter Daniel Waters. He’s a hit or miss screenwriter, with movies like Heathers in his filmography, and other real bombs, but the one thing Water certainly understands, is bullying. This ties into your melancholy holiday thread, where people feel lonely and perhaps judged during the holidays. That thread that you aptly pointed out, is a part of Batman, Catwoman, and Penguin’s story. You have to give a lot of credit to Waters. He never wrote a better script.
@@HuntMarston *Jumbled. Also, it's not jumbled in the slightest. This was Burton's complete artistic vision and any so-called flaws must be recontextulized as intentional.
@@rclark777 No I mean Jambled a drunk mess. Artistic vision I think not. Burton had to much free reign I mean the movie was too dark for a batman movie. The first one was just the right amount of dark but this is were batman burns a guy with the batmobile
Batman Returns is actually the perfect Batman film. He faces the conflict of how he’s impacting his universe and the people around him. And nobody in the movie gets a happy ending. He’s a tormented character so everything fits. It’s ridiculous and over the top and the characters are so animalistic yet full of raw human emotion meanwhile there’s rocket launcher penguins and mini-Batmobile rides scattered throughout. It’s a great Batman movie and everything a movie really should be.
The Batman 89 comic is awesome in every way. That is the biggest nod to Tim Burton and his Batman universe ever. The fact that Sam Hamm wrote it makes it even better. The artist and the way he drew it and made it accurate to how those actors would have looked in 1995 is flawless. They even made it look like it was shot like a movie. Hell they even edited it like Burton's Batman as far as the way it jumps from scene to scene. This is the most satisfying conclusion of the Burton universe. The closest thing to what his third and final film would have been. So in the beginning when you mentioned Batman 3, we have it but in comic form. I've never been so satisfied in my life. I remember I read an article in third grade about Keaton quitting and Burton not doing his movie and everything going on around that, it was the worst part of third grade lol. Now the wait was worth it.
HELL yeah, this is my Christmas movie. Still lovin' Elfman scores for both "Batman" and "Batman Returns". His score for the first movie is AWESOME, but there's just something about his 2nd entry..
I actually loved this film over the original. The first one, I like, but I went into it thinking we were getting an origin story on Bruce as opposed to the mystery of understanding who Batman is in the eyes of an outsider. Still a great movie, but I went into Returns more aware of want to expect as it’s a direct sequel. Both Burton films are incredible and I’m glad to Keaton return in the Flash.
I love this man. This is one of my favorite Batman films it’s just so damn good. People never acknowledge how well this film handles the characters from the source material. I can’t believe you followed up the amazing TASM 2 video with another banger only a week later. This video is genius thank you for making this!
Funny running into this video. I decided to watch this last week while looking for alternative holiday movies and it dawned on me that I never really fully appreciated this movie before. Great video
Returns was my introduction to Batman as a kid, and it will always hold a special place for that reason. Now, I still love it. It’s so specific and stylistic in its presentation that you can’t help but love it.
I personally prefer the original 89. But this one is always fun. I would have loved to see Burton’s take on closing the trilogy. 89 and returns are iconic films
Great movie analysis. While I am a fan of the Nolan films and most especially The Batman right now, Batman Returns will always be my favorite and the most special in my heart. Saw it as a kid in 1992 and really enjoyed it. Catwoman captivated me so much, and that was when I became a true blue BatCat fan.
Burton’s Batman films, much like many of his other films, are fantasy/arthouse pictures that have a message nicely wrapped within them. The beautify of Batman returns is that it’s not beat for beat the first one which so many sequels were at that time.
Batman Returns may be my favorite superhero movie of all time. I loved it. Fan service once again ruined our chance of seeing Burton's Batman 3. IThs is a true Christmas movie. Great video as always.
I think Batman Returns is amazing because then end is when Bruce finally "becomes" Batman. Up until that point he kills and Burton shows that Batman is as flawed as the villains and Bruce realizes this at the end when the Penguin dies and when Selina disappears. I disagree when people say Michael Keaton's Batman has no arc. He does, it's a redemption arc done over two films and it's amazing.
I wasn't aware that anyone thought this was a bad film. I see it generally regarded as one of the best Batman films of all time. I think the only issue is a lot of people nowadays haven't seen it and it's very much an 80's movie.
Batman Returns is my favorite Batman film and in one of my top ten favs of all time. This is an EXCELLENT retrospect. “I don’t know about you Miss Kitty but I feel so much, yummier…..”
As a kid-teenage I watched Batman 1989 more then as I got older I started to really fall in love with Batman Returns and started to see it as more of Batman Film then the 1989. Batman is a dark character, the city is dark, the rogues are dark and evil. You're not supposed to feel safe in Gotham, so being uncomfortable with the corruption and crime happening in Batman Returns is putting you right into how it feels for someone that lives there and why Batman is such a noble character considering the enviroment and city he's chosen to protect. I also marathon Batman Returns every year and call it a Christmas movie haha.
I watch it every Christmas. A Christmas Carol story using Batman characters is a great idea. The 3rd act is gold, but it takes a long time to get there. There are a ton of scenes with the talented cast just standing around. I would have liked to see Catwoman and Penguin go after Max Shrek more actively, make it more about Batman trying to save these people from their own hatred. But, like George Lucas with the Prequels, and every M.Night Shamylan movie, this is the movie Burton and Keaton WANTED to make. This is their uninterrupted vision, like it or not. I love that.
I’ve always love these two Tim Burton Batman films. When all the controversy about “how scary it was”. I was rolling my eyes, I was 11 when that came out and I loved it. Also I have been watching horror films since I was seven and playing in cemeteries. But I don’t think that had anything to do with it.
I saw it for the first time last year and didn't know what to make of it. I rewatched it the other day after realising I couldn't stop thinking about it. Literally no other Batman film has prompted that in me. Although Bruce isn't in the film that much, I think it actually works to have him as the vanilla foil for all the madness going on around the city. The visuals are the best of all the films, except maybe the most recent one. And Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman is just iconic. She has a better arc than most female leads in superhero movies today (hello Captain Marvel).

Such a great movie with a strong cast!
agreed
devito penguin is one of ttop 10 supervillain acting of all time in my opinion
Danny Devito's acting was almost Shakespearean. His theater-style acting really blended well with Tim Burton's style. Penguin's monologues were really well acted, well written, and well shot.
I remember it to be the best live action batman movie ever .
It’s certainly up there for me!
Interesting
You have a very good memory.
How? Why? Am I taking crazy pills?!?
Fantastic film. There’s a famous quote “people hate what they don’t understand”
But I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer the animated series' take
From one underrated DC movie to another.
@@MrBooone at last someone who agrees with me
Batman Returns is absolutely brilliant. Catwoman's music is haunting and beautiful. Exactly like Selina Kyle in this movie.
Christmas is the 'Sunday' of the year is a brilliant metaphor!
to label new year's day as 'Monday' is hella consistent.
well done!
Also my guy, the Penguin was planning on murdering children from the very beginning. That’s the list of names he was working on throughout the movie.
Fun fact: Tim Burton and Michael Keaton both prefer this movie over Batman 89. Burton also even stated the 89 movie was dull, boring at times and was too interfered by WB, while Returns is much closer to what he originally intended for the original.
I agree with him. 89 is dull. Returns is king.
Where did he say this??
@@integrity101 Burton himself confessed to Empire in 1992: “I liked parts of it, but the whole movie is mainly boring to me. It’s okay, but it was more of a cultural phenomenon than a great movie.”
I really enjoyed Batman '89, but Batman Returns does seem to be more of a work of art, with more "edge." It takes more risks, which is a good thing!
Teenaged me loved this movie purely because it was "dark."
~20-year-old me hated it because it was "silly" and not as "realistic" as the Nolan films, as well as portraying a wild and less heroic Batman.
Yeah that run of Batman films really shook things up and changed things for people.
I still remember my mom kicking up my door after id gone to bed one Saturday and just said Batman is on TV! 😂I must have been like 6 or 7
Forever isnt canon either
You're over 30 I didn't know that.
better than the batman imo
@@n.b.l.5709I love the Batman, but I think it gets lost in the end while Returns ending is soooo well done. I love the way they finish Penguin, Catwoman, Max and Batman's arcs all at once instead of finishing important parts of it, then moving to a long, long sequence with people who aren't the antagonist.
I thought it was a classic when I saw it at the cinema in 92. Great film. One of the best Batman films ever made.
Batman, Tim Burton, and Christmas what a twistedly delightful mixture
This one is my favorite of the two honestly. Just bought a DVD of it the other day.
I wish we got to see the Darker "burtonesq" 3hr version that Schumacher actually edited.
I love that in this movie Bruce empathizes with Ozwald at first. "I hope he finds his parents."
I was crushed as an eight-year-old seeing the cover of Parade that Keaton dropped out of Batman, and it was being recast. We would never see the fruit of another Burton/Keaton labor.
It was never bad, the character study in this film is dense and we'll delivered, it was less action and more drama which I loved.
?
Such a quotable movie! I would say my favorite is "mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it..."
I've watched all of them, this will always be my favorite. It's just pure fun.
The best part about these movies is being a kid and getting the toys for Christmas oh how great it was ....
Thank you for giving this film the recognition it deserves, much superior to the first film and the purest visionary style of Tim Burton's work.👏👏👏
Nolan's Gotham is just Chicago. No personal flavor, just boring.
What was the name of The Fanfic
@@cicolasnage5684 I'm aware of the Batman 89 comic thanks and waiting to get the hard cover next year so I can read it all
I've always found the charge that this movie is "too dark" and "nihilistic" funny when really critics of this film are simply incapable of seeing past what are really merely superficial aesthetic idiosyncrasies and subtle nuances they don't like.
I've always loved this movie. I just appreciate it more as I get older
I love the last line of Batman Returns. “Goodwill toward men. And women.”
There is no way that Batman Returns is a better movie than I remember, because I remember it being pretty gotdurn terrific.
its a jambled mess.
Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman performance is still jawdropping to this very day.
Saw it today after a very long time. What a great genrefilm Batman Returns is.
Tbh, Batman Returns is probably my favourite Batman movie. The mood and atmosphere is all it takes for me.
I love this man. This is one of my favorite Batman films it’s just so damn good. People never acknowledge how well this film handles the characters from the source material. I can’t believe you followed up the amazing TASM 2 video with another banger only a week later. This video is genius thank you for making this!
Aw thanks man! Thank YOU for watching and for the kind words 🙏🏻 much love to you this holiday season
Easy the most underrated Batman movie, and ahead of it’s time for sure.
This is my all time favourite Batman film.
This is also my favorite Batman film, I was that six year old boy running around saying “Life’s a bitch now so am I!”
"You gotta admit, I played this stinkin city like a harp from hell!" was one of my favourite movie quotes when I was young
Funny running into this video. I decided to watch this last week while looking for alternative holiday movies and it dawned on me that I never really fully appreciated this movie before. Great video
I absolutely love how Gothic everything felt
Returns was my introduction to Batman as a kid, and it will always hold a special place for that reason. Now, I still love it. It’s so specific and stylistic in its presentation that you can’t help but love it.
Batman Returns gets me fired up for Christmas every year.
I can't believe Batman Returns is almost 30 years old.
Great job man! Loved Batman Returns and I LOVE your video!
Thank you!
I personally prefer the original 89. But this one is always fun. I would have loved to see Burton’s take on closing the trilogy. 89 and returns are iconic films
watched it today, it was so good, way better than i remember
Batman Returns is a fabulous movie. It's my favorite Batman movie, along with The Dark Knight. Michelle Pfeiffer stole the show.
Always will be my favorite Batman movie.
One of my favourite Christmas movies...
Its a 50/50 split you either love it or hate it
Great job, man! I always loved Batman Returns. To date, I still consider it a perfect movie.
I've been saying all this since I was 5 years old when I saw the movie back in 1992!!!!
This is easily the best video I’ve seen on Batman Returns. Just saw this movie, and I adore it.😊 I wish more people thought the same!
I remember the audience applauding at the end.
That’s awesome haha
Can’t be better than I remember if I remember it being the definition of perfection
Well amen to that!
Batman Returns is the Batman movie I hold closest to my heart.
Maaan, I've been thinking about doing a video like this on this movie for so long now but it looks like you've beat me to it. Great stuff :)
I love your essay! This was always my fav Batman movie as a kid.
What’s that background music that starts at 7:49? Supergood
