Congratulations, the Kraken looks proud again. After so many years abandoned at that junkyard, she's going to fly with a 440 and a 4 speed manual. Very well done.
They did indeed work. My dad had a '55 Chrysler serviced by a dealer whose mechanic failed to tighten the lug nuts. The reverse threads kept the wheels from coming off on a trip. Reverse threads were on the driver's side only.
A shame you arent keeping those rear wheels on it, they suit the Kraken BIG time in my opinion, especially if you can get a set for the front too! Looks rear mean, I love it!
@@atpmonstergarage wish I had done that, family kept hounding me for new wheels despite me saying I needed to take into consideration i was doing a front disc brake modification. So I ended up rush buying a set of front wheels and because of the Edsel's weird rear wheel bolt pattern i'm scratching my head on the next step. you thinking alloys? spokes? custom?
Not yet. I have a plan for it though. I have to do a cab swap on it because it’s so rotten so when I do the cab swap I want to drop the big block and tranny in while the cab is off
Looking forward to seeing what happens to the kraken ❤

Thanks man!!!
Sitting in the scrap yard I was wondering if it was worth restoring, and now I'm thinking that isn't bad at all. Good of you to save it.
The reverse thread is an old mopar thing that supposedly prevented your lugnuts from backing off 😂
Wonder if it worked? Holy crap I’m excited and can’t stop staring at it!!!!

@@joes3485 Thanks for leaving a comment. I always love learning stuff about these old cars

I have something way more insane picked out for wheels. For the first time ever I’m holding off on buying them first until it’s running and driving

@@thequietestengine I think I’d like 2 sets of wheels for it. Something custom and something old school. Period correct
Hey bud, did you put a big block in that black step side 4x4?? Just wondering if you did that?
