Thank you so much for this reaction, it's one of the best I've seen on YT. I appreciate your open mind and attention to detail. I've read the books and seen the movies multiple times, it's a guilty pleasure. 🙂 Of course it's teenage drama and a bit cringy at times. And my perspective on what constitutes healthy and "real" love has matured as I've gotten older. But I'll always love the story. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the movies with you! Team Edward cause ultimately people have a right to their own choices. 💜

@@NewfieMovieReactions Torture is a good word for it. I don't think the word "enjoy" is the right word for what I felt when I watched the series but I did watch all of them and read the books. It took me a while after reading the books and watching the movies to determine why I felt like it was like eating a big Christmas day meal and liking it while eating but feeling like you want to throw up afterwards. Explaining why would be giving spoilers and I won't do that. I will say, now that you watched one, you have to watch the rest. Just be ready to need antacids - or a lot of alcohol.
Whatever. I'm in my 50's, and I love the Twilight Series! So does my Twin Brother! Of course we love most books/ movies about Vampires, Werewolves, & the Supernatural.
Never got into the Vampire Diaries though. 🤷♀️

Sometimes it nice to watch someone just ENJOY what they’re doing instead of nitpicking every detail to prove they know the fandom well lol. @@lashaun2914 Hi, I've watched a lot of Twilight saga reactions and most of them I end up switching off before the first movie ends because they're not even trying they just want to hate for the sake of hating it. If you're interested in seeing another reactor that was really good have a look at Late To The Party. Vanessa has seen them and loves them so gets Rob to watch and he's really open minded. Instant subscribe from me too for that reason. I don't care if a reactor likes a film or not, but Twilight is a good one to gauge whether they are being genuine or not. Most people who react to twilight have an, 'I better make it super clear every 30 seconds that this film is cringey and awful', attitude, instead of reacting honestly and daring to admit parts of it might be good. So yeah, I like this guys willingness to positive and open minded about a film like this rather than expressing everyone else opinions about it. Looking forward to seeing more of his reactions.
Rosalie is a great character. We learn in later movies that she has a very good reason for being upset from her point of view.
They didnt get as in depth in the movies as the books do :'(
I'm a grown man and I enjoyed these movies. Not afraid to admit it at all. As long as you know what you're getting into and not expecting Citizen Kane - you'll be entertained. Especially with 'New Moon' (the next one).

Despite its cringe and creepiness, this series is definitely a guilty pleasure. So I would love to see you react to the sequels. To explain about the eyes, when a vampire drinks human blood their eye color becomes bloodshot red, when they drink animals’ blood, it becomes a golden brown coloring, and when their eyes are black it’s because they haven’t drank blood in a while and they need a refill.

I hope you'll enjoy the ride 😆😆 as a teen I was obsessed with this series, now that I'm in my 30s I view some things differently for sure. I still have love for it though, I like the story and worldbuilding personally (writers taking new ideas about supernatural creatures always does quite well with me) and there are a couple of really awesome scenes. Oh and the music is fantastic! Hope you enjoy!

Perfect reaction, not mocking or serious just open. Rosalie: keep in mind all the vampires have an origin, a life before and a story how they turned. It takes awhile to get to Rosalie’s but it brings some reason to her attitude. What they left out of this movie is at the ballet studio James reveals he also recognized Alice because he’s the one who turned her. She had no memory of it or her family before that time so it gave her some closure too.
James didn’t turn Alice. The man who worked as a janitor at the mental asylum she was at turned her because they knew James was coming, as Alice was his “singer” and she saw visions of him coming for her.

Twilight is such a guilty pleasure movie for me. Intellectually, I know it's not that good of a film (in terms of writing, etc.), but it's so fun (and dare I say camp)! I love rewatching it

This series actually has an amazing soundtrack as you continue watching. I loved the books and movies when they came out, and still do. Bella and Edward jump from nice to meet you to I can’t live without you ridiculously fast. She’s 18 and ready to become immortal for a dude she’s known less than a year! But…it’s fiction and I’m down for it lol! Some people don’t like the second movie as much as the others, but I think you’ll still really like it!
I actually downloaded a lot of the tracks from the series, I can picture the visuals when I listen to it too lol

"Your sparkling, glittering"... to be fair in the book, when he stepped into the the light Bella was terrified because he literally looked like he had burst into flames.

My love-hate relationship with theses movies is so unreal. Like one minute I need to watch them all but the next minute in rolling my eyes.

3:52 - fun little tidbit from the book. At that second, Edward was calculating the best way to kill the entire class. All he wanted was Bella's blood to the point where he KNEW he was going to kill her and he needed to kill the witnesses, so he was planning with which row of kids to start breaking necks and whether to leave Bella alive for the end or kill her in the beginning. That's how close to death she was every time she spend time with Edward. If she had cut herself, one drop of he would tear her apart without even realizing what he is doing.
Lol my first car was an astrovan with a TV and vcr. EVERYONE wanted a ride to school. I was 'that girl with the van'

One of my favorite reactions to this movie was when someone was like... even if I did bring her as a snack, who said I was sharing? If they had just said hey, yeah, we are out here playing ball, and afterwards we're gonna crack open a warm one with the family, everything would have been just fine.
The Twilight series is a guilty pleasure for me, though I'm neither Team Jacob nor Team Edward.... I'm definitely Team Alice....

These movies are a huge comfort series for me so I can’t even fabricate a number of how many times I’ve seen them and it wasn’t until this video that I realized I’m kinda upset about being cheated out of her apology to Charlie
About the sparkly skin, in the book their skin is solid like marmol or basically a diamond, thats why they are so bright under the sunlight but it's damn bright so it looks like they're on fire and that's how the autor justify the legends about vampires burning under the sunlight.
The books were so amazing I read them like six times and I think that's why everybody was so disappointed with the movies because they change the story so much and the characters really didn't match the descriptions in the book. But these movies are truly a guilty pleasure of mine. I just finished reading Midnight Sun. Midnight Sun is Twilight but from Edwards perspective

I absolutely love this series in a non-joke way.
The trio didn’t notice Bella (in the book) because Jasper was using one of his powers to block her from their vision. The wind made it irrelevant.
In the ballet studio, Jasper used another power to keep everyone in super soldier focus mode (himself included) to keep them from feeding on Bella. Edward was extra freaking out because (in his POV book) we see them on the way to the studio, and Alice is having vision after vision of what might happen to Bella.

My kids were young teens when these movies came out. A fun game I play with myself is to replace the word vampire with umpire. Makes it more absurd and quite funny. ‘Say it”. ‘Umpire’.

Since the beginning I've always been a Team Edward girl.
This one, the third one, and the last are my favorite of the movies. And I love all 4 of the books.
Edward and Bella's first kiss and the baseball scenes are my top two favorite moments in this movie.

Bram Stoker, who wrote Dracula, even had Dracula walking about in the daylight. He was just weaker during the day. I THINK it was the first film made on the book actually changed that. A lot of people who love vampires will often hate this movie because they have their own rules for what vampires are. Kind of silly really since they're not real creatures to begin with lol.

It's nice that you don't get hung up on all of the red flags and toxic messages. Like, yeah, those are there and it's perfectly valid to point them out and critique it, but I feel like most people go a bit extreme and overboard with it, and can't appreciate the good parts of the series. And that can make it hard to enjoy the reactions.

I love watching people watch twilight for the first time. There are definitely changes that could be made, the movies are beyond cheese factor but they get so good especially once you get to eclipse. I don’t particularly like new moon but it’s important for the story. Charlie is 100% my favorite of these movies and I wish we had more of him 😂

By the end of the series everyones Team Edward just bc of how toxic Jacob becomes. I watched a group of 3 grown men in their 40s watch twilight. And to say David aka Oak loved it is an understatement so I hope you also do the whole series. Oak was Mr. Minnasota (defo spelt that wrong but I ain't American so I get a pass on that and also pretty sure that's where he won) and looks like he could whack u w 1 punch. But he genuinely loved every second and laughed more than I've ever seen before!

Actually, one of the most interesting elements of Twilight to me as someone who isn’t a fan - they aren’t werewolves?? Everyone calls them werewolves in pop culture but they aren’t
They talk about this in the books. I read those 10 years ago, but from what I remember they're just shapeshifters who happen to turn into wolves. Real werewolves exist in this universe (the ones who turn during the full moon, etc) bur they're very rare
I agree with you, they should’ve included an apology scene b/t Bella & Charlie. FYI, there was an ancient vampire that worked in the psych ward where Alice was admitted. He had a sort of fascination or care for alice and he ended up turning her bc James had a thirst for her blood & wanted to kill her. James killed the older vampire for taking his chance to drink her blood away. Alice has no memory of this.
Each Cullen family member has an interesting back story.

I love when people come into these movies with an open mind. Yes, they're cheesy, and a little over-dramatic, but they're fun too. I'm excited for you to see the wolves animation. In my opinion it's pretty damn good for it's time.
Honestly, I'm surprised James _didn't_ just kill Charlie quickly, out of spite. And I just find it so funny that James is like "You brought a snack". Like, that's not yours, mate.
Imagine just walking up to a family who are playing a game of baseball, and yeah, they've brought a snack to eat afterwards. You can't just help yourself to their picnic. Rude.
And I know it's for story purposes, but it's so ridiculous that Carlisle would expect or make Edward be the one to suck the venom out of Bella. Basically just asking Bella to die, and for Edward to get hooked on human blood, guilt and remorse.
