thats not how that works. This is a bill that if passed will be signed into law. The ruling regarding abortion, which is what i am assuming you are alluding to, was not law. It was just a ruling that the supreme court made years ago, then shelved, then brought back and ruled on again. It was f'ed up but it wasnt a law. The supreme court cannot overturn a bill that is signed into law by the senate.

It is important. It makes sure people are equal under the law. As far as gas prices go didn't the Republicans block legislation that would help prevent price gouging in gas prices?
Tell your Republicans to stop voting no on every effort to fix it then. We can do more than one thing at a time.
can religious people refuse service to black people or women because of their religious beliefs? I think not. religions do not get exceptions to the law per equal protection. The amendment saying the government can't pass laws abridging religious liberty means laws can't specifically target religions or religious practices but a general law that applies to everyone and doesn't specifically target religious practices applies to them as well. For example, the government can't ban mass as that is a specifically religious tradition but they could out law the consumption of alcohol again. And don't tell me they need alcohol for mass because they give their kids grape juice instead.
It depends on each states own laws and what type of “service” these religious people are providing. No body should be forced to do anything, so if this new wording makes people feel better than why not do it? Also, religious organizations do get exemptions from the law, they don’t have to pay taxes.

States can't refuse to recognize straight marriages performed legally in another state. Ever read the constitution? SCOTUS made that point with abortion. Per the 10th Ammedment if ether the federal or state Constitutions do not grant legislators that power it goes to the ppl for a vote in their state. In Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803) Congress does not have the power to pass laws that override the Constitution. Please show me WHERE in the US Constitution that it delegate these powers to congress... then go read your state's constitution. I highly doubts States can regulate this either- the ppl will.
