I work choctaws (almost) every time on ice.Blues choctaw is my fave, well, the rumba kicks too !! Where's your rumba? I think getting the shoulders and arms correct really determine the quality of choctaw. I mean, yea, understanding the choctaw concept and getting the lower body parts and pieces in the right position is a must, but i see (and feel myself) on the FO-BI, FI-BO that if i dont coordinate upper to lower body, then the exit is "shallow", not symmetrical to the entry. You are like soo smooth that you probably dont even realize it. Beautiful ! And in jeans....wow!
I’ve just started learning the BO to FI..... I have a lot of difficulty in getting the timing right and don’t think I have my hips and shoulders against each other.
I find this difficult to follow...too quick for me. I'd rather have ONE choctaw broken down (per video) more slowly. Baby steps. Too much information at one time confuses me. I am a senior citizen who never learned this stuff when I began skating 35 years ago. I learn slowly.

Very helpful! I love the way choctaws look and I haven't officially been taught them but I'm definitely going to work on them off ice.
Gonna try to do Choctaws tomorrow.
Saying Choctaw is fun.
