I also use the Sea to Summit dry bag to wash, along with laundry sheets. I travel with lightweight cotton shirts and dresses in S E Asia as it is more comfortable in the humidity and heat. If you get a lightweight cotton it dries overnight after washing. I did try merino t-shirts but found my backpack straps caused them to pill
my shampoo does double duty - stand on top of a pile of clothes, lather washes onto them, stomp on them, maybe add a squirt of shampoo on the pile and stomp some more, rinse it all out, squeeze it, then do the towel trick, hang out to dry. (Emplying the towel trick comes with the warning that you will never again look at an unguarded towel cart in a hotel and not have the urge to grab a bunch of extras for just in case you need laundry)
haha love this! Greta tip on the shampoo. Dual use products are a must when traveling. Also, yes the towel game gets fierce. Thanks for the funny and insightful comment. Appreciate you being here.
As we visit Asian countries often, we usually get sweaty, not dirty, put clothes on the shower floor, and take a shower, whilst continually stomping. Ensure they are rinsed and either wrap in a towel, as you demonstrated or squeezed and hung. We can do this for a week, and will then find a laundry service to wash better.
Super insightful comment! Great idea to stomp them out on the shower floor. Squeeze and hug is also a great method. Who does not enjoy a good hug here and there!
Yes, I do some wash in the shower but not while wearing it. 😆 I prefer the soap sheets and Tide pen. I do take some Anti-wrinkle spray, if I have garments that will need it.
Yes, great tip for the soap sheets. Haha I did not think wearing it felt right, but according to some of the other commenters people do wear their clothes and wash up! Appreciate your comment. Thanks for being here.
Bamboo clothes. Probably easy to wash and love the idea of reducing the environmental impact. 🙌 Thanks so much for the kind words! Being useful might be one of the highest complements you can give. In the end we all just want to be useful. 💪
I have pretty much the exact set up except the stain stick is in the sling on my person at all times - cause stains happen at the worst possible time lol.
As soon as I saw a notification from your channel come across my locked phone I had to open it because I know it will be informative & FUN. And again you delivered! You crack me up! 😂 What size Sea to Summit Dry bag do you use for your family & which type (is that the ultra-sil or the light weight). There was no link in your description. Also, have you noticed any degradation of the waterproof lining inside the dry bag from the detergent and the abrasiveness of the clothes (zippers, buttons etc)? Reason I ask is I want my dry bag to do double duty (for taking my stuff into the pool as an actual waterproof dry bag) plus as a wash bag.
Ahhh thank you so much! That means the 🌏 to me. Appreciate your positive energy and believing in what we put out in the universe. 🙌 We have used the dry bag on and off for about 2 years now. We have done Laundry in it 5-10 times and have not noticed any degradation. I think it will be a great option for a waterproof bag and a laundry bag. Sea to summit makes quality products. Sorry, thanks for reminding me. I will link it up in the description now. Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Sack, Ultralight Dry Bag, 13 Liter. This size is good for socks and underwear for the family.
I don't mind spending on clothing if I feel the product is worth it. I like cotton and brands like Wonder Looper, Naked & Famous Denim, The Real McCoy's, Samurai Jeans, etc. I shower every day and use a high-quality antiperspirant. Underwear and workout clothing are the only things that need to be changed daily; everything else is good for several days. Boxers and socks get washed in the sink with detergent sheets, and everything else gets washed at a coin laundry.
Thanks for commenting! I appreciate you being a part of our community! I like the underwear and socks wash only. It is a great tip to travel compact with less. Coin laundry also a great, underrated way to do laundry while traveling. 🧺
World class edutaing repsentation... If I may be permitted my one complaint... the pronunciation of the castile soap is commonly pronounced Dr BRAWNERS not dr BROHners ieeyieayayayahhh...
Love your delivery! Useful information with some humor!🎉😂
Thanks so much for the kind words! Appreciate your support! 😁

Sea to Summit makes some great products. Thanks for sharing your opinion and watching the video!
We find that Dr Bronner's soap leaves a bit of residue when used with hard water. Your tips are useful and your malapropisms are humorous.
Thanks for sharing!! Great thing to know when you are doing laundry while you travel.
This was awesome! I am now super excited to do laundry when I travel next week 😁.
Jen! Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I hope you have a super fun trip. ✈️
@@JustBookedIt Thank you!

Thank you , very useful as always.
Just watch perrie talking about bamboo clothes and think they might solve the problem and reduce amount of washing

What size wet/dry bag do you use (orange Sea to Summit)?
Yes, I wondered that too!!
Sorry I did not have it linked. Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Sack, Ultralight Dry Bag, 13 Liter, Orange is the one I used to do laundry in the video.
Smart Wool lightweight for summer, winter weight for cold. Wicks sweat summer or winter! Wash it, no smell.
Smart Wool, what a great tip. Thank you for the insightful comment.

Nice! It is a great set up. Stains always seem to creep up when you have on your favorite duds! Thanks for the comment.
Bamboo viscose?
I bring a pillow case to keep my dirty laundry in when traveling.
Great travel laundry tip! Thanks for commenting and watching.

I thought I was the world’s best sink clothes washer, but you might have taken that title.
haha we will have to have a showdown one day! Appreciate you David!

Cyclist. Shower and soap with kit on. Remove kit. Soap it again, rinse it, hang it, burrito. Yup.
