- A selection of snippets from the BBC's Saturday morning show, in search of a show.
More specifically, the first half of the first series, with Dani Behr and Joe Mace, trying too hard to appeal to older viewers, and early escapades of Tiny and Mr Duk who did improve, certainly when Tiny started to sound more gravelly and less like Otis The Aardvark.

The title of The Saturday Show was also used between 1982 and 1984 on ITV produced by Central Television that replaced Tiswas. It was hosted by Tommy Boyd and Isla St Clair

Do you have the full first episode? Would love to see Sophie Ellis-Bextor performing her song Lover.
I wouldn't bother asking as The Saturday Show was terrible, not as good as Live & Kicking, however if you want to see Sophie performing Take me home on L&K you can find it on a clip titled Live & Kicking Saturday 28th July 2001 BBC One.
@@meridian2000 It wasn't as good as what had gone before but by the time the first series ended and they changed the format it was really getting going and moving ahead of ITV in the ratings. Given another year of the original format, I think it would have found its feet and be more fondly remembered.
