what's really amazing is i watched this on a Wednesday night and it seemed just like Saturday.

Amazing Johnathan passed away on 22/2/2022 of heart failure.
He had been previously been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy.
Rest peacefully, legend.

His Comedy Central bit was funniest thing I had ever seen. So sarcastic and witty. Probably watched it 24 times when it first came on.
In 1996 that 50 could have got you a carton of beer, a pack of smokes and a succulent Chinese meal. Friday night all in one note.
in mid 80s all you needed was $20 bucks and you could go on a date. 2 movie tickets. A serious meal+ drinks at Taco Bell. And then skating after that.
You know that you can still get a pack of beer and a Chinese meal for less than $50 today, right?

R.I.P to this legend, I saw him once on Comedy Central when I was a kid and tried looking for him in 2014, lol I searched everything except The Amazing Johnathan and never found him so I thought I was crazy for a while until I brought him up to an uncle and he’s like Oh! R.I.P the amazing Jonathan mate 😢😢😢 i absolutely loved that comedian magician himself i always always laughed at himself altogether when he used to preformed on hey hey it's Saturday i like the way he drinks the windex window cleaner and that wasn't even a real thing at all times it's was water with food dye poured into the water in the windex bottle i also like the dove trick he did and killed the dove bird and it's was definitely a fake dove bird after the real life version of the dove bird 😅

My favorite skit and I have it on DVD is when he's trying to tell somebody from the audience to drink Windex and he says quietly but the microphone picks it up it's just water with blue food coloring in it

This show was like ostrich soup for the soul on a cold winters saturday night that everyone in Australia watched, just a shame they cannot afford the electricity to make a modern version of it.

For some weird reason, I remember him opening up for The Tubes circa 1995 or 96. It was a weird pairing for the one off show.
