Seriously, no other Aussie show came even close to Hey Hey. The longevity of variety entertainment, I loved it ritually every saturday night, and if for some reason you rarely couldn't watch it live, you had to record it, and watch it later that night👍
HEY HEY ITS SATURDAY. Every now & then you just get a g8 group of ppl doing something thats a whole lotta fun that brings an abundance of Joy to a very large group of people! Thank you so much Hey Hey for such wonderfull memories 🎉❤
I miss this show sooooo much! I remember watching the final episode and thinking "what am i going to watch now". I was truly lost for a very long time.
Exactly what you deserved for allowing yourself to become so boring. HHIS was going downhill for a decade before it was put to the sword. It was boomer central. The kids thought it was rubbish
I'm only 30 so was pretty young when the original run finished, but I still remember watching hey hey when I was like 6 years old. This show left an impression for sure
i remember seeing it for the first time at about the same age in the late 80s at a friends house.. it was a lot of fun. Australia was so laid back, back then.
Was doing a show at the Adelaide fringe festival .My mate was on a bed of nails as I juggled fire over him blindfolded but I dropped them on the first night and he wouldn't let me use the blindfold again😂
I'd love for you to upload to this channel the Sheryl Crowe performance that was done in this episode of Hey Hey it's Saturday . Sheryl Crowe and John Farnham are two of my favourite acts that have performed on the show ( separately ) . ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
This was the best time to live in Melbourne! Hardly any traffic, glass dystopian buildings and cheap nosh n bars. People were laid back and didn’t bristle at anything slightly un-pc. Oh, and I was renting in Collingwood for $100 a week. An entire terrace house!
It is a terrible shame that shows like this finished the business got the better of it too many people too expensive to make but far too risky it's a sad world we live in
Not a huge fan of MacEnroe, but he moved up a bit on the list for getting the gist of the show and scoring appropriately instead of giving everyone a top score.
The best Australian variety show EVER.

Cause of the footy from what I recall
RIP John Blackman. You made us all laugh for so long. Bless You. 🙏🇦🇺
Best Aussie show. Miss it terribly.
Spot on about A Current Affair.🤣😂🤣😂
Hate that show. They always show one side of the argument and absolutely harass the other person without letting them speak
I grew up watching this show and loved it
Every Saturday night.😂

Good on mac for giving it to a current affair
Those were the days what a great generation
We need re-runs of this awesome classic show. The Comedy Company included
More entertaining than so much on TV nowadays.
The last guy was going on as a mime... until finding a Steven Wright CD in the green room saved him 😂
Never a dull moment with Red Faces lmfao
Miss this show 💔
Thank you hey hey couldn't find it myself 😊
You are welcome!
All these years on and he's right the ball was in and A Current Affairs is still garbage
He nailed it. 💎
Was doing a show at the Adelaide fringe festival .My mate was on a bed of nails as I juggled fire over him blindfolded but I dropped them on the first night and he wouldn't let me use the blindfold again😂
Gotta love Johnny Mac!
Both fantastic tennis players
Wow I miss Sat night with this show, I need a time machine, take me back, who's with me?
Bloody oath mate
Uncle Rico

John Mac is a funny guy 😂😂
Funny how?
The first guy was legit entertaining.
It's hard to believe that Sheryl Crow is already 36 years of age here.
why is it hard to believe? she was born in 1962. If she was born in 1895 it might be harder to believe.
@@stupendous1068 and high as a kite
@@steverichards1482 Because she doesn't look that old here.
I miss old Australia aswell.
Aaaah I miss the 90's, I really do.
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the good old days when things were fun ,,,,
Such good value
Love this stuff
John was serious with a 10
Funny how i watched this show when i was a teenager thinking .. 🤔 these guys look old .. And now i am 50 🙄🤣
Tennis stars these days wouldnt have the temperament to go on a show like this while in the middle if a tournament.
Geez 1998 I was still in my late 20s I m 52 now
John McEnroe grew up with the original version of Red Faces i.e. The Gong Show. He got the bit better than anybody.
R.I.P John Blackman...
Gee that was a good show... Good days.
I'd love for you to upload to this channel the Sheryl Crowe performance that was done in this episode of Hey Hey it's Saturday . Sheryl Crowe and John Farnham are two of my favourite acts that have performed on the show ( separately ) . ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
John McEnroe on Hey Hey?….You cannot be serious!
Russell - hilarious
the last guy was nicking Steven Wright material
1:55 in, wow. That's a "Cold Shoulder" if I ever saw one.
I miss this show. Saturday barbies with friends at each others home , ad watch hey hey its saturday.
When the world was real
love Sheryl , McEnroe & Cash....awesome....poor Greg..lol
You can't be serious!
They were totally serious and we all loved it 🥰
Hey Hey - the good old days of television 😢
@@thearmchairjournalist566 "You can't be serious!" is a phrase often used by John when he disagreed with an umpire
@@qfjoeqfjoe To be fair, the exact quote was "You Cannot be serious!!"
Original, fun , fresh and a little raw you don’t get this anymore 😢
Sheryl was smashed
Absolutely shitfaced aye
we wouldn't till we watched red faces & RIP Blackman 🎉😎
Back when we had a great Australian TV. Nowadays it’s complete rubbish.
I miss red Symons boos or not he the best hey hey Saturday so tennis champion Patrick Cash
John Blackman was so funny 😂
Hes a good player that Mark fullofpizzas 😂😂😂😂
"I got a fever!....and the only prescripción is more Cowbell!"
dickie: hes a good player that Mark Fullapizzas .
😂😂😂😂
Good times. Good years...
Just think in 2024 those Apples are long dead.
Alboo would make a good judge on the show if it gets rebooted
Watching this really makes today's television really really shit.
This was the best time to live in Melbourne! Hardly any traffic, glass dystopian buildings and cheap nosh n bars. People were laid back and didn’t bristle at anything slightly un-pc. Oh, and I was renting in Collingwood for $100 a week. An entire terrace house!
the pace of life used to be so much better
I meet red symons.
Sheryl seemed drunk
Damn you Kerry Packer!!! 👎 another 10 years of Hay Hay would have been a treat! 1999, end of an era 🇦🇺
Jesus Christ...
Someone actually wrote "would HAVE" instead of "would OF"!!
I'm proud of you!
Screwed it up with Hay Hay though...@@scottbrandts610
@scottbrandts610 Yeah, but he also wrote "Hay Hay", so he should still give himself an uppercut.
last one red shoulda voted 8 would be funny

John Mcenroes shirt looked ghastly. Even for the 90’s
❤❤
Amazing to remember how hopeless tv has always been. To think how many people used to watch it.
Forever HOIST THE FLAG OF STARS.
He was right about A Current Affairs and it is even more garbage now.
Not shore but I think Aussie was a real bird. his brother was EMU.🤠
He's right, that CU in the NT affair was and is a disgrace of a show.
Makes you wonder why journalists like Jana Wendt and Ray Martin would host that rubbish.
Pat Cash is beautiful.
That idiot Harry Connick wrecked this fantastic show.
Watched it since early 80s. What happened Australia? Sad.
The announcer has the bedt jokes.
Give the most prize money to the ACT that looked like he needs a feed.
Not 1998 but 2024
That last act was terrible. Not only wasn’t t funny but the guy looked really uncomfortable in his delivery. Amazed Red even gave it 1
Gotta love Pat Cash’s CD-Rom promotion 😂, would give PlayStation a run for its money….not 😅
11 out of 40! Ha!
Corny but great
Not a huge fan of MacEnroe, but he moved up a bit on the list for getting the gist of the show and scoring appropriately instead of giving everyone a top score.
Last guy was stealing Steven Wright jokes. And doing his versions way worse!
How cheap did that game look, even for 1998.
Mark Fullopizzas. Funny except hes greek, not italian. Fullogyros perhaps
There's no P in your lame attempt at a joke. Ethnicity wasn't the joke here, it was the play on similar sounding words. 🤦♂️
I dont like redmen, he is up him self
He's right, it's still rubbish
Was funny at the time but NAHH !! not today.
The first guy was Alex De Minaur’s dad!
Love this stuff
