I love this channel because the ideas are completely different and I believe they work more that trying to argue against a person that does not want to open their mind to analyze a different perspective. I would love to see a kids only perspective to understand how different a kid thinks before they get conditioned by society.

How does that guy sit down and say that there's no need to eat animals, especially with the environmental impact, and still not make the connection for himself? I can't imagine how hard it is for Joey to do all of these chats/outreach scenarios and see people unwilling to change. It's just not that hard.
Thinking about doing something similar to this with a sign saying "We should all eat dogs and cats" and then argue that everyone says that eating animals is okay as long as they've had a good life. So we not eat our pets, who we give the best lives?

@@x-latetv-x6816 The whole process of farming involves cruelty. Artificial inseminations, dehorning/debeaking and crude castrations, separations of cubs from mothers, and finally the horror trip to the slaughterhouse.
Even if you shielded them from all of that (which is not praticable, the end product would cost more than gold), killing a sentient beeings that wants to live is cruel.

I often use the beating/killing dogs analogy. People often get so triggered but get it at the end just how hypocritical it is.
So you don't know what hypocrisy is?
Treating things differently is not hypocrisy if you are open about the fact you do.
If I say "I value dogs over cows" and then beat a cow but not beat a dog, that's called consistency, not hypocrisy.
If I were to treat dogs and cows equally after saying that, however, THEN I would be a hypocrite.
Read a dictionary, mate.
It's common knowledge that, in the West at least, the overwhelming majority of people openly value dogs and cats over cattle. So it's a very dumb "analogy" to make.

Value is subjective, it is whatever we attribute to something. There is no intrinsic value so there can't be an intrinsic difference in value. Glad we agree that the value of a dog being higher than that of a cow is entirely subjective. So why is it so hard for you to accept this reality?

Standard practices are all still the same and most still go to the same slaughterhouses. I personally rarely even use the term “factory farm” bc i feel it implies that there’s a difference, and it emboldens all the “humane exploitation and happy murder” ppl into thinking they’re doing a good thing.

9:50 I’m currently reading a book called “Practical Ethics” by Peter Singer, highly recommended it b.t.w. The book was written in 1979 and the topics are amongst,many others, speciesism and the principle of equality. Peter stopped eating animals in 1971 and has ever since been an animal activist. He is a professor in bioethics and one of the best in my opinion. I was 8 years old when he wrote this book. It amazes me that we had the knowledge, the ethics and the means back then but for some reason people still believe the lie about meat eating for sustainability. We don’t need to eat animals to survive in this world and we should not. Thank you once again Joey for being a voice for the voiceless ❤️
