Another Bmw 535d this time stage 3 with hybrid turbos running just over 400bhp, very clean and well maintained example, customer requested to use all Genuine parts so we did.
As you can see from test drive part of the video, smokeless before and after Valve spring upgrade, it just shows if you maintain these cars they run well and for ever.

Yes, this is a good example when car is maintained well. Rare thing to see unfortunately on m57-s

do you find the engine working a bit sharper with the sport valve springs?
Yes it does, especially with straight turbo back systems its very noticeable
Do you have to release tension on timing chain to remove cams and does it need remapping with uprated springs ? Tia
Yes, and not necessarily but would benefit as can run more boost/push closer to the limit as it’s more controllable

So doing it with tdc would mean doing 2 cylinders then rotating crank and do another 2 and so on ? Sorry about all the questions 🙄

Hi, does this springs upgrade make some performance increase?
It would reduce valve float, that way you can push the the tune further as it’s easier to control the boost, resulting in power increase
@@NENTECHM57 I already have 35d+ turbosystems hybrid turbos+wmi on my x5, I am interested if I will retrieve some more hp because of this tune?
@@rostyslavpaliuha225 yes you would, that id say would be a must on it by now.
Realy valves springs can make that sounds? Whay its happen like that? Its also can smoke bad?
It shuts valves quicker is my only answer, all of them i done sound sharper afterwards. Less smoke with stiffer springs.
I would appreciate one more reply and last one. Valve springs can start to be weak and cause engine detonation sound?
@@TomsAustrins yes they get weak over the time, not sure what you mean by engine detonation. But stock springs on high mileage cars that are tuned tend to cause issues
What is the cheapest drop in single turbo (changing one of the two ) or set of turbos for good power gain? Already have r90 pump
There is not such a thing as cheap turbo for good power gain. You can get cheap ebay hybrid for £500-£600 but gain 20-30 bhp or get Turbosystems one for £1200 and have over 400bhp, depending what one you get

These were 30% stiffer, i have also 40% stiffer ones. Will be fitting them in my own car

@@derekporter66 your limitation might be fuel system, but hybrid turbos and m50d fuel systems you should be close to 500bhp. Stage 2 is around 400bhp
