@@NENTECHM57 I’ve invested in a clutch masters triple plate m3 e46 clutch it’s rated for 1200ftlbs of torque it bolts straight up to my m57 crank

@ Jesus, you are good for 1000bhp there then

@@NENTECHM57 more the torque that limits clutches hp it will take 1500+ on my old set up I bought a twin plate was rated for 750ftlbs and it slipped and killed itself instantly so I take no chances this time either gearbox will explode or the diff but the clutch is good 😂

@@a14n75 look at no1 cylinder, intake valve should be starting to open and exhaust close, also use timing tool

I have the timing tools, I assume as I’m not removing the chain I don’t need to insert the flywheel locking pin, just use the cam alignment tool with the sprocket dots inline. Cheers

@ when removing you don’t need any special tools, but when installing obviously you need timing tools.

@@jayanders1485 incorrect map on the engine, also was put together by “engine builder “ very poorly and it had worn cylinder and piston causing a lot of blowby. N57 in good condition can hold 500bhp with no issue. But N57 and good condition is like 1 in 100

@NENTECHM57 mines in soon for swirl flap delete and EGR delete, it's already got a downpipe and a tune. On 118k atm.

@@mmmQ95 probably 500k km, or when it starts to rattle. But with oil changes every 10-15k km it should last over 500k km

@@fluuuky Hi N57 is decent engine but must be maintained very well, as this example was. M57 is more Durable and it doesn’t get hurt as easily. Both very capable if tuned.

@@NENTECHM57 yeah, id like to aim for around the 400hp mark but 350hp seems to be achievable without spending too much money and would probably be more reliable, what cost and parts would it take to get to that power for m57 compared to n57 because ive seen the n57 is “easier” to get more power i think. Just curious as id quite like a nicely setup car that isnt going to cause many issues

@@radoslawp589 finer the better, no less than a 1000. Be very careful not to leave any debris inside

@@Kishnya hi, yes , there is more room and more options for intake than stock .

@@SR-jq8mv both good, but single is more reliable and better for doing hybrid on it. 35d is good also, with all deletes and good intercooler 400bhp is easy on stock turbos.
