Your get there mate, took me years to slowly chip away at my times in my RWD cars and even now in my 335d x-drive its very easy to light up all 4 tyres if you're too heavy with the launch, people seem to think drag racing is easy, far from it... especially RWD in less than perfect conditions. when you perfect the launch you should be able to get a 1.9 60ft which would then equate to a 11.8-11.9 Q/mile with that 121 mph trap 🙂 Glens from GKR Perfomance is the wizard and will get things running perfect... just a few more tweaks ;-)
I know, it’s actually 0.1 seconds slower than what i had before with way less power. It all in the launch and putting most power without wheel spin
Some good consistent runs there.
Yes but slower than what should be doing at this level. 60’ is too slow
who did you get to tune it ?i have similar set up in a pick up truck and it needs a tune
Gkr performance
Hi mate.. where abouts are you in UK?
@@rambo9130d Not in the Uk anymore, moved back to Serbia.
Did the Map sensor rectify your boost spike?
I have 6bar map sensor but still having issues.
It did rectify misfire/power cut. But boost spike is still there, these turbos spike a bit, that’s normal
@@NENTECHM57 turbosmart bov controller ?
tempo 100-200 ?
Not done yet, gearbox issues
have you considered a manual swap? you could have a perfect launch every time.
Not that easy to launch manual as auto, and not many clutches/dmf can hold 1000nm well for long
Manual gearbox is the solution.😆
@@andersonsousa8296 if you prefer to be slower and change dmf every other weekend 😄
Out of interest, what gauge are you using on the right of your steering wheel?
It’s Aem egt gauge, probe inside exhaust manifold
@@NENTECHM57 what are the EGT at the end of the run? nice trap speed , its correlate to the 70 plus hp you got over with the new turbo setup.regards
@@jpsr20det about the same as with 400bhp if not lower, as it was running well lean. 750*c max at egr side of manifold , was hot outside also, 30*c
@@NENTECHM57 thanks!
To be honest , you couldnt really get a good launch which is to be expected especially in wet conditions.
A rolling start from 50 and i bet theres nothing much that keeps up out on the road.
Gearbox isn’t working properly in first 3 gears, sometimes shifts well, sometimes 2nd doesn’t engage properly. Before i had it dialled in and my 60’ was 1.9sec now it’s over 2.1
Howmuch pressure turbo you had ?
About 3bar but was spiking higher than map sensor could read
@@NENTECHM57 ok,why you dont use the 50d sensor?
@@Haya3usaGsxr at the time of tuning was ok. I’ve changed it now to 6 bar one
@@NENTECHM57 ok,this ts turbo could resist ?
Hey i have a volkswagen mk6 1.6 tdi stock do you think i can drag race with that?
You can race anything, as long as it’s roadworthy
What is the best time ?:)
@@NENTECHM57whats your 100-200 time?
@@povilassiurblys447 i just got draggy in the post, will get some numbers in next few days
@@NENTECHM57 cheers,mate,apreciate that
