Marleyans had the titans for so long they actually had forgotten how it felt when they were used against them plus the fact that even the titan's users weren't expecting humans capable of fighting them and the two Akermans. The Finale is showing how much the marleyans got used to invade but not being invaded.
The entire final season is WW2 situation with an Evangelion-esq ending.
Is it weird that moment is my favourite in the series? Given that we spent the first few episodes watching the Marlay Titans flatten pretty much everything that wasn't an entire fleet of warships, it was so satisfying to see one of them absolutely shit themselves at the Paradise crew coming for blood

Erwin and Levi said that they can't retrieve it because it was too risky which is why they went out themselves to find Ivan's body. They ended up luring titans instead and yeah, that's when the bodies were dropped. Ivan's body is still rotting in the woods. Rewatch the episode before sussing on people

Well the Marleyan-Eldians are also happy to survive because the war is finally over and the enemy nation was defeated. They could finally rest after 4 years of war, a hellish one where people were riddled with bullets and tossed into minefields blew up.
Totally different tone from how the Scouts always felt fighting titans that seemingly had no limit to their numbers. The Scouts came back home from a loss, the Marleyans came back from a war that ended.

You should compare it to real life experiences, learn from it und understand it's themes, it has a lot of historical references. You're supposed to appreciate the moral ambiguity of the story and see the perspectives of both sides. Don't just blindly support on side without any deeper conisderation for the other. It's really like saying that you would enjoy killing brainwashed North Korean's because they think that all the westerners are evil. You're supposed to use your brain in this series and analyse the narrative with open mind.
