When Eren screams at Hange to let him hear if she has something planned, he was being honest. Angry and frustrated, but honest. He really wanted to know if Hange had some secret plan, anything to help him avoid what he knew was coming.

Eren has his reasons but he literally became a basterd in Season 4, threatening Hange, knowing and accepting Levi might be killed by Zeke, accepting to transform top commanders such as Dot Pixis to titans if they drank Zeke's spinal fluid (Pixis was literally the first person to trust Eren with his titans abilities) and not to forget he willingly risked the lives of his comrades especially Mikasa and Armin in danger

The most important point in this theory will be in final episodes, ending of AOT may be a little bit different unlike one in manga.

wait wait wait i know this is a year late but. in the manga, when the attack titan before grisha was talking to grisha and hes talking about armin and mikasa, he says "whose memories are these?" and i think he says "which attack titan? they're fighting a never ending fight" or something along those lines..so taking that and your (@aidanrogers4438) theory, i think you're right. he was telling them all to fight, and it spans the timeline, theyre all fighting.

Hange was probably the most insane sane person in this whole show; like she was super obsessed with giant monsters, but she definitely saw through people’s bs. In the end, she saw through Eren and his bravado. He was an emotional wreck driven by his emotions completely. He lacked any ability to register the magnitude of what he was doing, and it is because of this lack of introspection that his actions inevitably doomed Paradis.
He got the happy ending though, the half-measure, which gives Paradise a long time to prepare itself for war and weakens the rest of humanity. The only thing better would be a total wipe, but that would be bad for the other characters, and arguably the rumbling itself was a mistake, but the "genocide the Island attitude" by the Marlyans made it appear like a kill-or-be-killed situation.
So half-assed-measure it was. At least the fact they are no longer titans might give them complete peace eventually as they are no longer a target. What doom are you talking about? What was the solution?
Now that I think about it, maybe Eren could have negotiated with them and let his close friends' families live and stopped the rumbling temporarily, or just some of the titans, or chose other areas. Then wiped the rest of humanity and peace would last for a while. Although peace doesn't tend to last forever anyway. But I think that would be a more bad ending for the world, probably more fitting for a visual novel with multiple endings. The one we got was the generic expected, ok-satisfying ending.
Are you seriously saying Paradis wouldn't still be doomed if not for Eren's actions? He had no choice, the whole world still saw them as monsters and planned to exterminate them no matter what they did, it was kill or be killed.

The fact that Eren doesn’t actually want to hurt Hange is what gets me here. He’s fresh off of Sasha’s death, which made him realize his visions of the future are absolute and cannot be changed. At this point he’s so angry at his own situation that he’s essentially begging Hange to give him a solution, he doesn’t want to be a slave to fate and watch more of his world crumble around him.
That gives me a better perspective, and also explains why he laughs when he heard Sasha died

Up until that exact moment he had no way of truly knowing if his visions of the future were true or not, so he had some small glimmer of hope that maybe he could avoid the atrocities he would supposedly someday have to commit. But by having Connie confirm the last words he heard in the visions, he realized that the visions were not only true, but absolute. That he wouldn’t be able to stop any of the pain and suffering he would have to endure and inflict on others. Eren’s laugh was the final death of the Eren we once knew.

Hange has always been a very positive and energetic person, it's really sad seeing her energy fade away this season.
She literally made eren a killing machine and now whining about it. My man here asking for another way to avert the threat and she is joking around. Why this season is not showing eren inner thoughts, that would be very helpful?

@@ractmo The problem is, there aren't any easy answers. They tried, tried a lot and only the Azumabitos happen to be one of the few that actually wanted to be friends. Zeke is an enemy with an agenda and so are his soldiers along with him.
The world hates Eldians for the 2000 year old empire and for the fact that they can turn into giant monsters. Plus considering the fact that the world's propaganda led everyone to believe that everyone on the island was evil and it was merely quiet didnt help.
Add to the fact that Marley used the power of the titans to invade other countries reopened closed wounds and made people hate titans and by an extension Eldians even more.
And even if Eren didnt attack Liberio, Willy Tybur united the world against Paradis by telling them the truth about Karl Fritz and paint Eren as the enemy of the world. Thereby using his own reputation as a descendant of one of the saviours of the world, sheer charisma and honesty to get the world off of Marley's back and create a scapegoat for the world's hate.
Hange is smart yes but even she had only so many options. Hell, even the people fighting for Eldian rights dont care about the Paradisians and only care about the internment camp Eldians.
@@supersani21 I totally agree with you, but I think eren friends are acting very unnatural way, they don't want to save their people instead helping enemies who will attack them after they help them. Only Floch understand the situation, and reacting like a human who want to save his family and nation. And they literally make Mikasa and Gabi too overpowered, which feels like that these 2 only are enough for eren. Surely both are protected by plot armor.
@@ractmo If you're referring to the Rumbling then yes. I would agree with Floch since the world didnt leave them any other way. Yet, Eren's friends are human beings too. Once Armin assessed and realised that Eren isnt going for a tiny rumbling to keep the world at bay for 50 years, he realized that he's doing the Rumbling for the sake of his friends.
They feel guilt over what Eren is about to do since he is partially doing it for their sake. That and while they have killed people, they despise the fact that genocide is the solution.
Their original plan was to convince Eren to not commit mass genocide and the very act of a full scale Rumbling being sighted would be enough to deter the world for decades.

I like how Eren is now so capable, that he can choose when, why, whenever he wants to transform. Back than he randomly transformed because he wanted to pick up a spoon. Now he can choose and even make those little electrical sparks, indicating he can tranform anytime, but stops it.

Gaining a greater control over his transformation is easily expected. What isn't so expected, though, is that he's become enough of a Sociopath that he uses it to threaten people who were supposed to be his closest friends.

No. Eren wants to do this. He wants to but at the same time, he does not want to. Does that make sense? In this context, Eren and Reiner's conversation underground makes a lot more sense.
First, I believe the reason Even decided to speak with Reiner was because he wanted to talk to the one person he thinks would understand him the most and what he was going to do next. You see, Reiner knew that by the end of the four years he spent in Paradis, that there was no such thing as “devils” over there. He learned that they were all people and that they were all the same. So he knew what he was doing was wrong when he decided to reveal who he was to Eren. He tells himself repeatedly that it was so save the world, to save humanity. Deep down he knew he was a coward and a despicable person who wanted everybody on Paradis to be bad people. He wished they were so he wouldn’t have to go against his conscience. He wanted to take the easy, childish, and naive way out. In the end, Reiner betrayed them all once again for his own selfish desires, to be a warrior that everyone looked up towards. He knew that he went too far and at the same time he still did not stop. Maybe he saw no use in stopping. But for whatever the reason, Reiner knew he was wrong and he still went through with his actions.
Now Eren. In season 3, Even had almost the same view as Reiner before he invaded Paradis. The people outside the wall are his enemies and they were all complicit in taking away his and his friends’ freedom. Then he goes to Marley on his own. He comes to the same realization as Reiner. The people outside the walls are just that. People. However, no matter how innocent they all were, they are all in the way of Eren’s desire for freedom.
So in the scene where they talk, Eren has already forgiven Reiner. In fact, he looks even embarrassed when Reiner asks him if he’s there to kill him like he had promised in season 1. Even has realized that he is just as despicable and guilty as Reiner. He says that they are the same. I believe it is because they both wish to still pursue their own childish dreams at the cost of people’s lives. They know that they are wrong but they still do it anyway.
Even knows the magnitude of what he’s going to do. He knows it is absolutely wrong. In fact, in the manga, he literally thinks that for the better of the world, the Eldians should die just as the world wanted them to instead of killing the rest of the world. In most people’s eyes, that’s the greater good. But of course Eren would never go with this decision. This is his freedom we are talking about. His people. His *friends.*
It’s decided. It has always been decided in his mind. To reach his freedom and for him and his friends to be free, everyone else must die. So yes, he wants to. He wants to kill and destroy everything. This is the way he is, and this is his nature. It may be hard to see it, because we have watched and rejoiced and cried with Eren for so long. But in the end, most people, just like his friends were, are blind to his faults. His faults being that he is a complex character, yes, like most people are. But he is also very selfish and childish and he has always been so.
It has still been absolutely magical to watch his journey, to see him grow, and I have come to love him no matter his flaws haha. He is a wonderful character.

I don't think you know what a psychopath is. Eren is not a psychopath, as he has clear goal/clearly does things that indicate that he is genuinely caring about others, and he is in no way "faking" his emotions.
