Wow! I was born in Loughborough, my last visit would have been only a year or so ago. It looks like there at least 3 new pubs since then. Imagine if the pub crawl had been in the 60/70s? From Bedford Square, Blacksmith’s and White Horse, Wheat sheaf, Volunteer, the Nelson, Blackamoor’s Head. Happy days 🍺😵💫✔
Welcome to Loughborough! I am glad that you found The Moonface Brewery & Tap, which I consider to be my local (The Royal Oak & The Peacock are nearer) It is a family and dog friendly watering hole. As "Lufbra" is a university town there are a lot of students (young people) walking into the *real ale* moonface & asking for lager, & finding the ale is good. Cheers!
Lovely to see the old pubs in Loughborough although many have changed their names. My old stomping ground. And had many a great night in Loughborough town centre before going up the town hall on a Saturday to dance the rest of the night away. Brought back happy memories.🥳😍
Whey! Glad you enjoyed the Moo and Blue! The nickname for the 3 nuns is “the 6 tits”.😂 we (White Hart) have just expanded for the first time and opened a little micropub “The Castle” in Leicester. Deffo worth checking out if you’re ever around that way!
Restaurants? I can't even remember what I got to in Loughborough now haha... but if I did do a restaurant there must have been a reason/pub element to it... or I was just drunk and didn't know what I was doing by then 😂
@@thegreatbritishpubcrawl you're right it is open infrequent normally Friday afternoon for the straight from work crowd and Sunday dinner if the landlord can bothered
What was so bad about the last owner of the Cask Bah then? He created that pub from scratch and made it what it is today with the help of good friends. Also they did a hell of a lot during Covid with live streams and giving musicians something to do. Can’t say I agree with your style of continually making a point of not liking the old landlord, (clearly got something against him personally) when you clearly enjoy his brainchild. I know he’s run many a successful pub over his career, just another RUclips gobshite.
I'd never met the guy before we visited it the first time when he was absolutely smashed (illegally when serving behind the bar) and was beyond rude, not only to us, but to a number of customers. I don't have anything 'against anyone' that I don't know. I treat people as I find them and since our poor experience, we've heard absolute horror stories about the guy from people who he's upset in the past. Nice of you to make an opinion of me though based on my experience with someone else, when you've never met me...
He was a shite owner, he treated it like an extension of his house getting steaming behind the bar which is unprofessional, and brought out his real (cunty) personality.

Surprised you missed out the boat
He forgot the toby ! But not a bad video
I don't tend to do Toby's as they're more of a restaurant than a pub and when I did, people moaned that they didn't want them included haha
No restaurants!!!

You missed the old English gentlemen
Didn't 'miss it' at all mate. It wasn't open... apparently it rarely is...

He didn’t even say that much bad about him 😂 you learn in the pub game, not everyone’s gonna like ya. No need to get upset by a bad review.
