You piss me off. Every friggin' time you review an awesome gun, I buy it. Now, I have 85 handguns in my vault. So, this video has left me sportin' a chubster over THIS one. Damn you, Noir. Damn you.
Ethan u think he sounds like he's trying way to hard to sound sophisticated. It's kinda annoying. Although I do like his series the way he talks is kinda too much when I'm in an irritable mood lol.
Don't get me wrong, I love the NOIR series, and his political videos are phenomenally genius. But there is nothing quite like that classic Colion gun review. Two thumbs up
Dude seriously, no more gun reviews. The way you spoke about this pistol was like how Penthouse Forum spoke about sex in the 90s. Well after many phones calls, over 80 miles round trip, and $1149 plus tax this beautiful Legion 229 is sitting comfortable in my gun closet. Shooting it later today.
Tried a p226 legion today. After first 3 practice shots to get used to the trigger, I tried to hit the bullseye of the target at about 10 yards. Got a 1/2 inch group with next 3 shots with standing non-rested shooting stance. SRT trigger has short reset and the double action also felt smooth. The day/night sight are wonderful. Very...very...nice!
I'll never forget the first time I shot one about a year ago when Sig's reps visited my local range. The p229 Legion is perfection and knew I had to have it. Now with money in hand I purchased it and picking it up at my LGS tomorrow. I can't wait to clean it then go to the range!
@@a-t5380 it’s still solid and shoots straight. The night sights it comes with are excellent and so is the trigger. I haven’t had to replace any parts on it so far. I still highly recommend it although now with them being on on the market for so long if I were you I’d look into getting a used one for a steep discount. Shouldn’t be hard to find.
@@a-t5380 I agree but I never claimed it would be ideal for CCW. Some people do use it for CCW believe it or not. I don’t. That’s what my G43 is for. An extra mag is all that’s needed. In most self defense scenarios 6 shots or less are fired. An extra mag is more than enough most of the time.
I have one chambered in 40s&w. zero issues through the first 600, and is now my consistent cc. The coin makes for a great ball marker on the golf course too (although a bit large for some so I keep a dime handy) and has been a great conversation starter during many rounds. In my opinion your review style is second to none. Subscribed.
This is the absolute best, "look at my new gun", gun video I've ever watched. It should be shown at film festivals nation wide. And the title, ... Tactical Illuminati ... Sounds like Dan Brown wrote the script for this movie. BTW I have the SIG Legion P229 already, but if I didn't I would be on the way to gun shop to get one. Keep it up! PewPew!!
I remember talking to my gun dealer about a good first handgun to purchase ranging from CZ, Glock and of course I mentioned the rarity of Legion edition Sigs. He smiled and said a customer preordered a P226 Legion (somehow) but backed down from picking it up leaving it up for grabs for $1250. Best (and luckiest) first handgun purchase ever.
I used to give the same restaurant analogy to my friends and I'm so glad to see someone like you thinking the same way. Awesome review, and video. Bravo Mr. Noir.
i have an older p229 and it's a damned near perfect pistol already. I can only imagine how nice it is to get your hands on one that comes with some new polish and little improvements.
+agp1209 Yeah but if you don't have an SRT trigger you are missing out. Update your sig. The legion series is nice if you don't have a sig or you want a premium sig and you only have a 320, 2022 or 250 etc. IF you already own a 226, m11, or 229 whats the point? Unless you are a collector and safe queen collector like yankeemarshall.
+agp1209 New Trigger (superior to Sig's SRT), new sights (superior to SigLit sights), checkering, new controls, new grips, new coating, undercut beneath the trigger guard, new guide rod extra mags... Price tag to convert an existing P229/P226 to the Legion: $1,100 - according to Sig Sauer. Pay no attention to those who bought a previous Sig and are now poo-poo-ing the new one. They're just jelly. I have old Sigs too and this one is better. You can drop nearly a grand on a new Sig 226/229 easily. Or you can spend a few extra bucks and get the Legion. I think you'll be happy either way.
Let me tell you I was on the fence about getting this gun. However after watching this video I’m sold! The way you talk about it the vivid picture you make with your words about this gun, are just impressive. Love the video and keep up the great work very well made and edited.
Have had the Legion 229 to the indoor range two days in a row! What does that tell you? 750 glorious rounds of 9mm defense and target ammo and I can attest to the sheer awesomeness of this Sig. The trigger is perfection, period. If you get a chance to shoot this gun, you will understand AND appreciate why this 229 costs more than the others. It is NOT just a P229, it is a different "experience" than the other variants. I had my heavily modified Glock 19 along for comparison. There IS NO comparison. If you appreciate how a gun feels, accurately shoots, and how well it does it's job of going BANG, then there is NO comparing the Glock 19 with the new Legion.

Colion - you have a way with words that fit exactly how I feel. Very articulate and to the point, but with emotion. It's incredible. I'm looking to pick up the P226 Legion (I like the full size) and appreciate your input in the decision. Thanks!
Also I have the p229 Legion in 9mm and I absolutely love it. Shoots great, trigger is amazing, ergonomics are fantastic and it’s just an all around great gun. Still wouldn’t waste money on the t-shirts and knives or whatever tho.
Bro, your reviews are the best. Your lyrics (yes lyrics, not commentary) are smooth and still intellectual. Most certainly a lawyer and I love it. Just saying what people are thinking. I have watched this video a few times but the music, quality and lyrics keep me entertained time after time. Plus I just bought a P226 Legion and I'm kind of on a Legion video binge when I can shoot it. Keep doing what you are doing.
Been carrying a 365xl for some time now and my 229 legion has been neglected. Took a pistol course this weekend and decided to pull her out the safe for it…she has now become my EDC yet again. In comparison, my 365 now feels like a wet mop. I forgot how much I missed her and felt so bad for cheating on her all this time!
The reset is incredible because the greyguns trigger has an overtravel stop set screw that keeps you from going back to far so the forward motion to the reset is closer.
I was one of the first buyer of this handgun and every body said I was crazy for buying it for the price. now almost every body wants one. keep up the good work. "awesome"
"One of the Sig team described the Legion series as gear that a Navy SEAL might carry when off duty." The above is from the GunsAmerica article about the Legion series. I like SIG, but that is one of the most cringe-worthy claims I have ever read.
+agp1209 The thing is I don't get why they think they need it, as Colion said. By all accounts the pistol itself is very nice and given the rest of SIG's prices it's not that far out of the park. But buying challenge coins and a "lifestyle"? That to me is the opposite of what a challenge coin should be.
+Murphy82nd I don't know why it's cringeworthy... I bought the 226 Legion and can say that I like it a lot better than the classic P226. The trigger is amazing and the sights sold me - I think they're worth it over the SigLite sights. They're certainly a whole lot brighter to my eyes. Did I mention that trigger is brilliant? The undercut beneath the trigger guard is something I was looking for, and I certainly appreciate the smaller de-cocker and slide release. Another nice touch is the steel guide rod which puts a little extra weight at the front of the gun right where it's needed. While I have a Glock, I'm really not a fan for the very reason CN stated: muzzle flip and recoil. The heavier Sig along with its lighter trigger pull and other features was worth the price of admission for me.
+T Feltmat The lower bore axis on the Glock makes up for the lighter weight and, after owning probably a dozen SIGs, has less muzzle flip to me. But how recoil is perceived varies from person to person. If you're happy with the pistol rock on man, I don't hate the pistol. I just think the marketing is a bit much.
Aaron Schutz It's beautiful but will slightly wear at contact spots with use. it's also a bit darker then it appears in pictures and vidoes. The legion is far and away the best shooting gun I currently own and I'm really looking forward to some new models.
I held out for a little bit... But I finally got over the gimmick of this whole thing and picked one up and it is an amazing pistol. I love it. It's the best made SIG I have purchased, and it is my 4th behind a West German P228, a P226 trade-in, and an M11-A1. Easily has the best trigger, nicest finish, and best feeling grip. Wonderful pistol. Also, I bought it from an actual SIG-Sauer store. They've been popping up in a couple places in Phoenix and they had great service. Got a free SIG Silencers trucker cap and some pens with the purchase and got the pleasure of knowing that I wasn't paying more than the gun was worth - Other retailers are selling this around 1300-1400 and I got it for $1,095 and brand new in the oily bag - Didn't have to get it from a shop that only has the display model. Love it!
+Colion Noir have you ever researched the significance of American Court proceedings and there connection to maritime law and court proceeding you know the whole social security collateral thing your name is a corporation that nonsense?
OMG I could listen to you all day...that voice. You made a review entertaining and providers humor throughout. I hope you have more reviews in the future. You could be the next James Earl Jones of gun reviews! Smooth but not squishy!
BigMeat Sunday You get the most out of your limited capacity. Either smaller size or more powerful caliber. If you get a gun like this, since your round capacity is limited, they will just augment the magazine but it will be the same size and caliber. So it's a net loss for your in capability.
Ahh Ok I see where you are coming from, got ya. this wouldnt be for any other reason other than to have this one specifically, Im well covered in many arenas I guess you can say... but its all legit and legal (nsa disclaimer ) :-)
Ordered my P229 Legion and it's ready for pick. I was on the fence until I watched your excellent review. Thank you! I'll be keeping it for sure! You've got a new follower and loyal fan now! Peace. Be safe and well.

As a person with some very bad experiences with Sig, I find that if you cut their 'list price' in half, you're close to what it's worth. $1100 bucks for one should be embarrassing!
+Mojave Green I have a 228 from west germany that has 45k rounds through it. Works like a champ. I bought a M11 and have retired the 228. I've shot a lot through, as well as the 2022 which was $450. All functioned great, and shoot better than any da/sa I've shot. I've had no problems with other sig products either. 239...320...etc. I run into a lot of people who hate on sig and find reasons to justify why they won't get a sig. It usually just comes down to they can't afford it.
Captain America For many years, my pair of 220s were among my favorite guns. One European model and one gringo one. Then I bought a new 239, as soon as they came to market. To put it shortly, it didn't come close to the 220s. Long story, inferior materials and........like I said, it's a long story, but I'd never own a Sig even if you gave it to me. (maybe I'd give it a good hard look before I refused a free one)
I wasted almost a grand on a stainless Sig 1911 that came from the factory with the wrong size magazine catch ($20 part through Brownell's) so the gun NEVER allowed any 1911 magazine to engage the slide-lock. Shipped it back to them, they test fired and said it functioned fine but did not correct the problem even though I explained in detail the simple solution. Numerous conversations with their customer (dis)service department and Military Sales rep were a waste of time. I bought the part myself, replaced the Sig piece in about 3 minutes and corrected the problem. My experience with Sig's customer (dis)service has tarnished my opinion and I will never give them another dime. Too many other firearms companies out there are bending over backwards to make their customers happy and for that I'm loyal to them.
Nick J This is not a true statement by any means. In fact HK has become shit. I can take a new M11 or 229 and throw it in a puddle...guess what it still works. HKVP9 not so much.
Ok, better late than never, but, I just watched your video on the P229 Legion. I wish I hadn't cuz now I want to go out and buy one even more than I did before your video, lol. Your video fit perfectly with this firearm, the esthetics and style along with your enthusiasm make this a great video. Keep up the great work.
+REMIX8604 The fact that many of the stuff we know about the Freemasons today is now public was once secret and the the previous existence of the Illuminati was once secret proves it. The people within those organizations don't just disappear after they disband. I'm not saying they're magical or anything but they're powerful political figures.
So I watch this video for the first time a week ago and today I go and get the darn thing. Thank you for the excellent in depth review and your support of the 2A
Just ordered this off your review. My previous Sig experience was limited to a TB P227. Can't wait to nerd out in all the prescribed ways. Thanks for the vid.
OH, MAN ! I just ordered my Legion Series, and wanted to watch your video. NOW, I want a hoodie, and apparently. I'm too late !! Bring back the shirts !!!!! LOL Great videos! Thanks
Was looking at this firearm for a little while, this video made me get one. I've had it for about a month now, and love love love this gun. Thanks for the video.
Colion, you got one?! You lucky dog! I just went on a diet, stopped going out to eat, and joined a carpool to save up for this! I will be the hungry, skinny old man standing in line with the worn out shoes waiting to buy mine when they hit Mississippi!
Just picked up my first all metal civvy SIG the legendary 220 and an HK p30 SK for backup thanks to Colin and Scotch. This or the 226 have gone way up my list
I fear the day that you start selling firearms, because I will be broke. Your weapon descriptions are so originally descriptive, they are like verbal silk. Another great review sir. Well done!
Working part-time at a gun shop is hella sweet. A customer traded in a slightly used (Less than 100 rounds through) P226 Legion. After that, I used my employee discount and snagged it for $593. Ohh man, everyone in the shop was salty after that. It shoots so well, it’s as if the covenant glassed the slide rails.
Bro, I love everything about the P229 . My EDC right now is an M11 A-1 so this gun would be my new EDC without a doubt. I am a true Sig fanboy and will be one until the day I die...
I find this review interesting. It's interesting, not just because it's well written, but because it echoes a conversation that I had today with my distributor. He had one of these guns come in and offered it to me. Of course, my first thoughts were of how I first encountered Sig almost 20 years ago as an issue firearm. To this day, no gun has ever matched that gun. It felt just right and is, to this very day, the only gun I ever walked into the range and shot 95% shooting cold. I'm a poor boy. I shoot Smith and Wesson and Glocks, but today I bought this gun, not because of it's sex appeal, but because if it's anything like the Sig I carried back then, it's definitely a piece worth having. Guns are like everything else. Sometimes, they're just right and that was how I remembered Sig. I look forward to my new gun.
I just recently purchased a p229 legion after all these years, and it's still very much a top tier firearm💯
Welcome to the club. I have purchased Wilsons, many other top tier guns and the 229 is still one of my favorites. Don't ever sell it.....

But how recoil is perceived varies from person to person. If you're happy with the pistol rock on man, I don't hate the pistol. I just think the marketing is a bit much.
+agp1209 Must have missed this coin thing when I served? But then that was 50+ years ago
Love my p226 and has always had a special place by my bed side until I picked up a legion. It's the little details that put a smile on my face.
Super deluxe review. bought the p229 legion 9mm after seeing your video. Nice work.
Kevin K how's the pvd finish?
Aaron Schutz It's beautiful but will slightly wear at contact spots with use. it's also a bit darker then it appears in pictures and vidoes. The legion is far and away the best shooting gun I currently own and I'm really looking forward to some new models.
Can you buy-in CA?
Love it!
your vids keep getting better and better , who writes your dialogue?!
you are very articulate, did you ever get to take the Bar?
+Colion Noir have you ever researched the significance of American Court proceedings and there connection to maritime law and court proceeding you know the whole social security collateral thing your name is a corporation that nonsense?
+knuckle heads Very articulate, huh? Hilarious.
Noice
The narrating of this video is legendary!
Absolutely brilliant review. Keep up the good work.
Your voice is buttery smooth to my ears! Lol I just ordered the p229 Legion SAO. I can't wait till it gets to my dealer next week!
How could you have not gasped at Missandei's beauty from her very first moments on screen? Such a stunning woman!
Great video, Colion!
+1 for having "What a Time To Be Alive" throughout most of the video too!
$1100 isn't bad for that pistol.
OMG I could listen to you all day...that voice. You made a review entertaining and providers humor throughout. I hope you have more reviews in the future. You could be the next James Earl Jones of gun reviews! Smooth but not squishy!
damn I hope this gets CA compliance.... ( hatemystate)
+BigMeat Sunday I'd be into high caliber guns or single stack carry guns if I were you.
why is that, not sure if I follow your reasoning..... cheers.
+BigMeat Sunday We need to win a few court cases before these will be CA legal.
Ordered my P229 Legion and it's ready for pick. I was on the fence until I watched your excellent review. Thank you! I'll be keeping it for sure! You've got a new follower and loyal fan now!
Peace. Be safe and well.
You just sold me on this. Already wanted one, now its solidified. Great video!!
Great review brother! I'm trying to find reasons NOT to buy this beauty, and you just made it extremely more difficult.
I'm always on the lookout for the next purchase. I watch as many reviews as I can. Love your videos, sir! Thank you!
Only problem I had with the 239s is I can't get the slide to lock. My finger holds down the lock.
Wait wait wait... There are grown men that really believe in the illuminati?
+REMIX8604 Well dude, they are a real thing... not sure if they still *exist* or not, but they did at one point.
+REMIX8604 They existed at one time, various esoteric secret societies still exist but no one society controls the whole world.
DeepSpaceBass1 So you're saying there is a secret society that you and many other people know about.
+REMIX8604 The fact that many of the stuff we know about the Freemasons today is now public was once secret and the the previous existence of the Illuminati was once secret proves it. The people within those organizations don't just disappear after they disband. I'm not saying they're magical or anything but they're powerful political figures.
DeepSpaceBass1 So because there was a secret group proves there is another one? I think not. What proof do you have of one alive and well today?
So I watch this video for the first time a week ago and today I go and get the darn thing. Thank you for the excellent in depth review and your support of the 2A
That pistol looks sick though, but fuck all the "illuminati" talk. That shit is super lame.
One of the best reviews I've ever seen, of anything. Your poetic writing made me want to buy a gun in don't even need. Good shit man
ive watched this video about 20 times ... getting my 229 legion in 357 sig this week.. soo stoked ... great video as always !👍
Just ordered this off your review. My previous Sig experience was limited to a TB P227. Can't wait to nerd out in all the prescribed ways. Thanks for the vid.
MARCH MADNESS...LOVE THAT SONG, GREAT VIDEO LIVE THE FUN SHOULD GET MINES TUESDAY, STARTING THE NEW YEAR OFF WITH A SIG P229R..PRICELESS!!
OH, MAN ! I just ordered my Legion Series, and wanted to watch your video. NOW, I want a hoodie, and apparently. I'm too late !! Bring back the shirts !!!!! LOL
Great videos! Thanks
This is hands down one of if not the best gun reviews I've ever seen. He makes this shit art! I'm buying this gun now.
Oh! the drone shots are epic dude, "Roll their eyes patted their weave'' Lmao haha
Thanks for bringing back the pew pew life shirts!
I really like this review, never been to this channel before. You've picked up a subscriber my friend.
That was a really freakin great video sir! Good Job, Bravo!
My favorite Sig video...that was great... bought mine today!
Damn Bro,You are good at expression your mind via the cinematic story.Keep on keeping, peace, love, and keep one in the hole.
Went to local gun store 3 weeks ago and they had a P229 Legion RX. All I have to say is just...wow, what a beautiful gun and great shooter it is.
Colion could shart during his videos and he would still be my favorite reviewer by far. The bore axis mistake is trivial.
Real nice job on the pistol review. I also like the production quality. Great job - and I just bought a p229 Legion. Cant wait to test drive it.
your commentary is so unique; it is unmatched.
that March madness melody is tuff. shooting a sig with palladium boots on is tougher. big ups to colion. your videos are the bomb!
I fear the day that you start selling firearms, because I will be broke. Your weapon descriptions are so originally descriptive, they are like verbal silk. Another great review sir. Well done!
Best gun review hands-down on RUclips. Love this gun, reviewer, and video! Thanks so much and keep up the incredible work you do Colion!
Good review. Extra points for the classy way that you did it. Felt like I was watchIng a review for a yacht.
Bro, I love everything about the P229 . My EDC right now is an M11 A-1 so this gun would be my new EDC without a doubt. I am a true Sig fanboy and will be one until the day I die...
Dude you've got the best narrating voice in the whole youtube!
Hey what a video. The best gun review I have ever seen ! music, analogies everything. Brilliant !
Great review as always. Your video production has become epic through the years!
Great review, as always. Holly crap those aerial shots! 5:42, you meant high, didn't you...
oh yeah, and... WANT THAT GUN!
Picking up a used one for dirt cheap. Just couldnt turn it down
Colin this is a great intro, I broke down and got the 226 SAO, it's the trigger I have always looked for, try it, you'll like it
Colion, your videos are the benchmark. The standard.
6:06 Failure to Fire? Failure of slide to lock? Light strike? Bad Primer?
Another good one Noir....keep banging on bro!!
Sig should really pay a lot to Colion for this video. This was like gun porn and I seriously want this gun. Even after all these years.
Just bought my 226 Legion, a Romeo red dot, and a Mitch Rosen holster. I can’t wait to hit the range with it.
