I didn’t realize the crew doesn’t get free wifi! Wow. But good to hear the upgrades to their system. When my parents went out of Charleston second week of January they had a day without internet but the rest of the time it was good
Yeah I learned about it pretty recently and I was surprised as well! They just started I believe giving it out on their Birthdays.
Enjoyed the video. One suggestion to add can you use a cell phone for these examples. So we can see exactly qhat us covered in all 3 packages

Can you use "Wifi-Calling" on a phone to make and/or receive phone calls from state-side phone numbers?
I tried just recently on Mardis Gras and it did not work.
Very good. I learned a lot questions. I did think that Carnival blocked the Royal Carribean app.

The new carnival Jubilee just so happened to go out of Galveston. I was hoping to go out of my home port on her but I did not purchase a ticket in time. LOL

I just got off Carnival Mardis Grad. I had the premium plan and Wi-if calling did not work. I was able to use Wi-Fi calling on other cruise ships but not Carnival.
When did they announce the fleet upgrade to Starlink was complete? I missed it!
A couple of weeks ago John Heald announced it on his Facebook page. Super excited to try it out on the Elation when we go in March!
Can you share your wifi connection by creating a wifi hotspot on your phone and sharing it with your family?
You can only share your hotspot through your cellular connection. It doesn’t work across Wi-Fi.
Will the social plan work well or will it be slower than the premium plan? Is the social plan even worth it or should I just do premium? :)
I would say just go with premium. It’s not that big of a price difference and social and value plan is very limiting.
So you siad that the hub chat can work with fb? Like fb messenger?

Yes it will work well with premium. I use Apple Music with premium all the time.

Premium works well with RUclips.

The premium plan is good for RUclips.
Which would work for say a Nintendo switch
I'm just going to do the free plan that only supports the Carnival app.
We do that sometimes, it’s nice to disconnect from the stress of the world but still be able to look at menus/activities.
