The goal was to beat the boss under 50 seconds with a full party without taking damage and without abusing mutiple limit break tricks with Gotterdamerung and/or HPMP materia. If you feel I am doing it wrong, you are welcome to show me how it's done. If my strategy is easy, you are also welcome to best it with the same restrictions. Looking forward to seeing your run!
@@unscathedhero8884 The Genji Gloves can be just as powerful and useful as the Gotterdammerung and hp mp limit break spams if you know what you're doing. If you're gonna put restrictions on op accessories, then I ask why are you using 1 of the most op accessories? Does this mean anyone else who hasn't got the Genji Gloves can't participate in a speed run of this boss? Just curious to how this all works.
@fluffybuns2001 I do agree Genji Gloves are good. However, from a no damage standpoint, Gotterdamerung, and HPMP materia are strictly better because limit breaks confer invincibility frames. Genji Gloves hit hard, but don't make you impervious to damage. As the title my video states, the point is no damage withba full party as fast as possible. Those are the limitations I gave myself go8ng into this. Had I allowed gotterdamerung and/or HPMP materia, it would have been MUCH easier. Honestly, it would've been laughable. No damaging this boss without Genji Glove is likely doable. But under 50 secs? Doubtful. Anyone who doesn't have the Genji Gloves can of course try this challenge, and will succeed. @@unscathedhero8884 I agree about the no damage part, but you can get through this entire fight with only having to block or dodge only 2 attacks, so the invincibility frames is not a big deal (for this fight) I actually believe the Genji Gloves are more op for this fight.
@fluffybuns2001 As interesting as this comparison between Genji Glove and Gotterdamerung is,(and it genuinely is) I think we'll have tonagree to disagree. But I also think our discussion about which accessory is more OP overlooks what is more important in my run. In fact, you actually alluded to it when mentioning the limited number of attacks Galian Beast manages to perform; and that is stunlocking and attack interruption. It is subtle, but it was actually the biggest part of my strategy. It is actually far more crucial than choosing between accessories. You'll notice that my firagas from Caith Sit stunlock the boss. As soon as they do I get the chance to charge spell blade to boost Cloud and Aerith's ATB. The spell blade also interrupts Galian Beast's next attack (indicated by the red text). I then wait for his next attack before unleashing Firaga again. Basically, you can continue to do this by switching between Cloud/Aerith and Aerith/Caith Sit using synergy skills to interrupt/stunlock the boss while building ATB and unleashing Firaga with whoever once you have ATB. This is actually the important aspect of this run IMHO, more so than the choice in accessory in ensuring none of my party sustained damage.
