Bao-Dur Tries to Get Kreia to Leave

- If you fall towards the dark side of the Force and get enough influence with Bao-Dur, the Zabrak confronts Kreia and tells her that it is her time to leave. Kreia responses to Bao-Dur's attempt and shows her power when he is forced to fall while she lectures him.

"Serve the Exile until it is your time to die, and it will be enough."
Ouch. The cold hatred/scorn in this delivery is a thing of beauty.
😗🙁🥺
There are so many instances where kreia opens her mouth and people immediately fall asleep. And then she just continues talking. by herself.
She also seems obsessed with "stripping".
She actually uses the force to temporarily paralyze them, while she retorts, and rants.
Probably the only way she gets into an intelligent conversation aboard ship.........
@@right_hand_power7960 Nah, everyone just thinks she’s really boring
@@adamstringer7092 lol no one thinks Kreia is a boring character
"A simple "no" would have done just fine..."
Yep, if you look for the definition of overkill, it’s just a picture of her. She is always planning and scheming and manipulating to where even small events like this one go her way. She is absolutely insane, and I love it.
I love how Kreia has dirt on everyone, and isn't afraid to use it. Hypocrite's worst nightmare.
Me: “Hello Kreia.”
Kreia: “I have seen your web search history...”
Me: 0:13
@@itwontcomeout5678 Kreia: I am unimpressed by level of deviancy you show. Do not think you have gone too far as such action is clearly unreachable to you.
And she’s one of the biggest hypocrites of all, but she’s aware of it. Her bond with The Exile compels her to protect and guide them and hoping they can succeed her. The rest of the party, she couldn’t care less so long as they don’t betray The Exile or she will kill them all without a second thought or make them wish they were dead.
Bao-Dur is both a Zabrak and an Iridonian. His species is a Zabrak, but he's from the planet Iridonia. That's like saying you're a human being (species) and you're also an Earthling (the planet you are from).
ahhh.
Shem L a better example would be Terran instead of Earthling (Terra is Latin for Earth)
I would like to point out that zabraks have 2 types of appearances in the Star Wars universe, one is the Iridonian that we see here, and the Dathomirran which is what darth maul was.
Blah blah blah bleached darth maul
It's also much like the Mandalorians; even though they're from Mandalore, they're still humans.
i love the way kreia is able to paint a mental image with words so vivid that it can cause bao dur such pain upon remembering that it causes him to faint.
@Samar3n She's doing the same thing to Bao-Dur that she did to Atton when Atton tried to free himself from her manipulations -- she can force him to remember horrible moments in his past, specifically what it felt like to watch all the countless thousands die when he was ordered to activate the machine he built that killed them all.
I thought he just got so bored he fell asleep from hearing het talk
@@hiyesiambanana2310 HHAHAHAHAH
Jesus Christ how terrifying. This scene is one of Kreia's best creepy moments
Kreia has no shortage of them.
From the moment you leave Telos, it becomes obvious that Kreia has far more power than she lets on, and you can't help but wonder where it all leads.
To one of the best god damn villains in VG history, that's where.
I would do just about anything to see more of Kreia in a future star wars game. She is just so well done.
EdgeOf1996 Anything? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I wouldn't want kreia to bring ruined fom disney
Next episode of the mandalorian
@@leroyvanderecken6956 Disney isn't involved in the creation of Star Wars, you idiot.
@@sarenarterius6058 .
The first time I saw this, I thought Kreia was just going off on some random dark jedi history just to amplify her power over "the Iridonian". Now I realize she was actually talking about Malachor V, to the man who created the nightmare machine 10 years prior.
Wasn't Kreia voted Character of the Year when this game came out?
She won "Best Character" in GameSpy's 2005 Game of the Year awards.
Surprising how only darth sion and HK-47 got new textures in other games though, HK-47's new design isn't exactly... as good, a bit less on the light part and he might look a bit better?
paperbullet1945 should be Character of the century

She is now on SWGOH though.
She bored him to death as soon as she started talking.
OrdoARC if you dare voice your opinions again ordo you will forget yourself for a time.

Kreia: mentions mass shadows
Bao-Dur: *System32 has suddenly stopped working*
Remote: bee bwoop bweep?
There are so many things that makes Kreia great. But my favourite is most definetely Sara Kestelman, the voice actor who brought that wonderful character to life. Amazing performance. Each line said with such a passion, hidden motive, cryptic, and at other times so direct. Absolutely fantastic!
Commentary: I love the messages that pop up. They are so true.
Oh well, this has to be one of the Old Witch's most badass moments! She doesn't even raise her stance, she just *pwns* poor Bao-Dur with her mind. Not to mention that what she's saying is also true. "bad influence" yeah, funny coming from someone who made a WMD and used it against thousands.
Kreia was the most morally sound character in Star Wars. She wanted to save the entire Galaxy from endless wars between Jedi and Sith that costs billions of lives.
@@DraculaCronqvist by killing billions in a moment.
Compare billion lives to the entire scale of their galaxy is like comparing the death of a car accident to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Think about it for a second. Would you not do the same thing? Kill billions in order to save trillions from the influence of the Force forever? And If I dont remember wrong, Kreia did not kill billions. It is the action of the Mandalorians, The Sith and The Jedi that led to the death of such a scale in the first place.
She desired choice even if people started killing again that would be fine because the force would not maniplulating people anymore to do so.
Well Kreia's plan is still widely uncertain. She doesn't know what "freeing the galaxy from the force" using the power of the exile will actually do, but she still wants to try it no matter what.
In SW universe part of the force is directly generated from living beings. To completely remove the force, you basically need to remove life...
When Kreia says to Bao-Dur "until it is your time to die."
That was meant as foreshadowing because he was supposed to die at the the battle of Telos originally but it was cut because the publishers thought it was not "true Star Wars" writing and cut it out.
Me: Hey Kreia have you seen Bao-Dur anywhere? I've been trying to find him but it's like he just... hey what is he doing on the floor?
Kreia: Mass Shadows
Me: WTF does that- *faints*
Kreia: BlaBlahblablablaBlah...
Bao Dur: Oh no, she will talk my ear off again, better faint.
so many people in the comments don't get the genius that is kreia. her true hatred for the force because she hates the idea that people must succumb to the will of some unseen force. to me she is trying to save everyone. to give people free will instead of th illusion of free will, she sees how many lives have been ruined simply because the force exists. people use it as a reason to fight each other, almost like religious holy war. she understands that light can not exist without dark and vice versa, that to truly understand the force you must know both knowing the dark side does not make you a sith as jedi would have you believe. being sith is a lifestyle, while the dark side is simply teachings of ways to control an entity that can not be obtained with only light teachings, it fills in the gaps if you will. both jedi and sith are flawed down to the core.
This. But alas, most people don't see that. Indeed, I believe most people lack the intellectual capacity to grasp Kreia's philosophy.
C Dyar
It's just the truth. If you're offended by that, I can't help you. The truth isn't always pretty.
how could she hate the pretentious being pretentious herself?
killa1711
Pretentious is a word mostly used by people who are just intellectually stunted.
DraculaCronqvist fight,fight fight
Kreia is savage af :D
Man Kreya is like... you just can't argue with her
Kreia's the type of person on the internet to prove you wrong in every way and then immediately send your IP address as the final nail in the coffin of your argument.
Bao Dur loyalty to the exile is sick...
i just love this brutal foreshadowing to Bao's fate
This is one of my favorite cutscenes in this game, this is also one of those moments in which Kreia as a character shines.
"You're bad influence on him! Get away!"
Kreia: It's flashback time
Man I love how important influence is and how it plays out in the game. Kreia doesn't even reveal her story unless you have enough influence. It's hard. I played a Male light side consular and I always bonded most with Kreia and Visas because I love the force users most in the game. I really like Bao-Dur too and Atton a bit as well.
Poor Bao. All because he cares so much for the Exile... And I'm a HUGE fan of Kreia, but man, is she speciesist! xD
yes, but she especially hates machines, because she cannot control or manipulate them
Purging memories of the last jedi with Kreia clips.
There is a film where once great masters drink green milk instead of blie milk....
yes my brother
wtf is that footlocker there
like the chest in steven universe, something that will never be opened.
damn bao dur went out almost immediately, it's crazy how kreia could have such a strong effect on the mind of others
Oh God i nearly fainted when ever kreia does something like that i almost fall asleep
Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
LMAO, nice he just collapses.
also, bao dur is technically a humanoid. so saying human it the above context can also apply to him. when she says nothing human she means something along the lines of only a monster could have created something so bad.
I believe Kreia is acknowledging Bao-Dur's non-human-ness in that line.
I think she's talking about the force. She hates it and malachor is just further proof to her that her cause to destroy it is justified
Bao Dur is pretty much just like that Wookie you later recruited to the party If you played as female Exile. They are both just walking dead men. When they have served their purposes, they will perish.
Jabba you’re a wonderful human being
Kriea and Sidious are both indisputably in the top five greatest sith of all time, both very very similar in the way they think and plot, and share most of the same strengths and weaknesses.
There is a certain breed of sith that masters manipulation of people and events to the point that, along with future prediction, they basically control everything in their environment. Kriea and Sidious are the best in that regard, but Sidious had more raw power and his environment was a whole empire
Kreia is such an awesome character
Love Kreia - if Lucas ever embarks on an old republic trilogy in movie form, that would be sweet. Thanks for posting
Maybe we’ll get something similar to Kreia, Revan, etc. when they make the High Republic series :D
charming, as ever
LOL
"Much to learn you still have" -- Master Yoda
Greatest "villain"! Kreia is my all-time favourite Star Wars character!
@keyblade1012: A couple of things I've noticed about your playing habits by what you've said.
1. You've never played as a male Exile.
2. You haven't had Bao-Dur in your party a lot and/or you play the dark side.
I am always so suprised when Kreia gets someone to faint like that
Forgot how dark she was. Some people said she was a boring, wordy character, but she reminded me of an evil version of my grandma so I found her decently entertaining sometimes.
Yet still she clutches at you as if you are all that gives her life.
“I guess that concludes negotiations.”
kreia is so fucken awasome. she is such a good teacher. wish I could learn more from her
10+ years later and I’ve only now seen this scene
Kreias old woman storys made him sleepy :D
I just noticed she fucking forced him to endure intense G's like that of malacor wtf thats so cool and so dark
He owns as a jedi
Indeed, however Lucas has fallen to the dark side sometime ago
yo ShemL, does the line "When it is your time to die" have any reference to the cut part where Bao-Dur is supposed to die(there's even the audio file!)?
Wow twelve years 👏
Shem L u need to try to make new vids I found glichts in kotor that may intrest. thats really cool and funny I laughed for hours about it
Damn she winter soldiered his ass
Kreia's ability to make people faint on the spot doesn't come from the force. Nah, she just flashes them, their eyes burn, brain melts, and tada! sleeping person on the floor.
hey shem, great vid liek always but this is an off topic question and i was thinking someone who knows so much about the KOTOR series would perhaps no more than me on it. but ill gte to it. do you think theres any hope for there eventually to be a single player rpg KOTOR3? ive seen the mmo site and im not a big fan of mmo's so im kinda bummed what do you think? and yes im bad at grammer :P
That's too bad. He really becomes fun to use once you train him.
I just got this dialogue yesterday, you have to actually be dark side though.
@JediShemL i have a feeling kotor 3 (if it ever comes out) is gonna be more mass effect then the old ones
I heard Chuck Norris was once Kreia's student! That's how badass she is!
Title: Bao-Dur Tries to Get Kreia to Leave
Literally the first second of the video: *It is time for you to leave*
I *do* like content that gets straight to the point
You can lose influence with him and still get this scene.
JediShemL, sounds good. :D Thank you.
Just thought Bao Dur was an Iridonian. Zabrak's are sort of related to them, but they're two different species of Zabrak, right?
Savage.
It's called "modding"! ;)
the Mass Shadow Generator just creates enough gravity so that the planet would collapse upon himself
ShemL, could you see Kreia as a bill collector? xD I mean, her threats...
gotta love kreia.
@TimTheThing1 The Zabrak, also known as Iridonians (when referring to the Zabrak who came from Iridonia), were a carnivorous humanoid species native to Iridonia..... xP
Hey Shem, mind if I ask you what screen recording program did you use to make these videos? because i want to start a lets play of kotor :)
if you can spare some time to answer this question JediShemL:
Can you please tell me how to get Bao-Dur into those robes?
thank you for your time JediShemL!
DAMN
When this happened to me bao dur is in a completley different room
bao-dur: ralph pls go
ralph: no
I was also referring to the audio commentary by George Lucas in one of the Star Wars movies and I could have sworn that the Geonosians also helped construct the Death Star. It's been years and I would have to see which movie Lucas said that on.
bao dur : it time for you to lea...
kriea: *chanting*
(he passes out)
Kriea : return 2 ur mashines
lol got 2 love that
@amonre777 i think KOTOR 3 is called The Old Repuclic
Are you seeing something we all miss? If that's the case, I sure wouldn't want to be you.
That's why I had it hosted on a site so people could get it whenever they could because things change. Unfortunately I can't help it if the site ends up having issues.
Usually I would kind of make fun of someone for failing to intimidate an old woman... but this is a special case....
wow that is some point being made
Yes.
@OrgodemirDQ7: Finally, someone gets it! :D
Damn, poor Bao-Dur...did she force choke him, or was it sheer guilt that made him faint?
Its okay man, I derped for thinking you probably still had it, thanks anyway.
She means Malachor, the planet that housed the superweapon known as the "Mass Shadow Generator" (crafted by Bao-Dur) that basically makes the planet's gravitational pull a thousand times stronger. The Mass Shadow Generator basically reduced the entire Mandalorian fleet (and part of the Republic Fleet) to rubble when it activated, pulling ships, soldiers and asteroids into itself, killing millions.
wow its like her lectures put everyone 2 sleep she is strong INDEED
Having them be lovers would be even more epic...
Joints grinding and hips breaking...
yes
I bet you never trained him to be a Jedi.
If I had a dollar for everytime Kreia made someone faint right on the spot, I'd probably be rich by now...
Which is why he gave those billions he got from selling Star Wars to disney to charity.
Because of the dark side.
I always got the impression that her comment that "nothing human" would build such a thing is more a comment on how disgustingly inhumane and painful such a device would be. She's using Bao-Dur's insecurity and self doubts against him...
Surely you don't think all she meant to say was humans are a better species?
Not to sound rude, but did you ever consider figuring out what types of choices pleases Bao-Dur?
that never happens in my game! did you use a mod? That was kind of funny though.
That's just nasty xD
Only time I ever enjoyed seeing a character die lol Kreia really is a witch
He is.
