Just picked up Lies of P last night. Got up to the first “lantern”. Excited to play more.
LOL, I want to see a skit of Johnny typing furiously on a forum about how Pikmin is gonna suck and then hard cut to him buying the game day 1.
I wore the shirt at my 39th Bday party yesterday and we had a Happy Console kind of Night. We played quite a bit of 32X, PS1, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, and Switch well into the late hours of the evening.
Usually I pick up a lot of things around this time, but not this year. The last things I picked up was in October. For Xbox One, I got Gears 5, and Injustice 2. For PS4 I got Trails to Reverie, Valkyrie Elysium, Pillars of Eternity 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Call of Duty WW2, Valkyria Chronicles 4, No More Heroes 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, and Marsupilami Hoobadventure

definitely couldn't resist having Super Mario RPG in my switch library either, one i have recently been playing and enjoying on the PS5 though is Noob the Factionless...wasn't expecting much from it but it has its own charm.

I've never finished a Star Ocean game but when I played Second Story R's demo it gave me such a great feeling of nostalgia for that era of RPG. It's presentation is so charming and the 2D sprites were adorable and really brought me back to games like Lunar. I ordered it a few days ago to be my Christmas game this year and I'm looking forward to really diving into it. I'm also looking forward to your future video about it!

I remember getting Super Mario RPG from my school store. It was one of the best gaming experiences i ever had. I picked up Street Fighter 6, Star Ocean: The Second Story R, Sonic Frontiers, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Star Ocean: The Divine Force.
I picked up my Mario RPG from Gamestop Canada because they had a promo of an extra 50% trade credit and traded 2 games that I paid $20 for and that was enough to pay the pre-order off and still had 10 bucks left over. So I basically paid $10CAD for my copy using that promo.
I picked up a LE Analogue Pocket in Yellow before they sold out. Paid a fair bit for customs/shipping, but it's glorious (still less than what scalper scumbags ask for overall). with the dock and GG adapter. Go Banana!

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is what I am currently playing. I’m glad you talked about it! I wish the first game had a physical release as well.
I just took advantage of some pretty big Black Friday/Week sales. I picked up the Mega Man Z/ZX Legacy Collection, Metroid Dread, Star Ocean 6, Soul Hackers 2, and Tales of Symphonia Remastered. Considering those last three games are still relatively new releases, I was really pleased with the amount of money I saved. I haven't worked out the exact numbers, but it was in the hundreds of dollars in savings.
I’ve been watching your channel since probably 2009 or 2010, and the thing I love about your channel is, it really is a happy show. There is no other channel I come back too like I do yours, seriously your show has always been so homey and warm.

Star Ocean is great. Everything about it is great. The soundtrack, the gameplay, the characters. Everything. One of my favorite games of the year hands down

I’m stocking up on turbo grafx/pc engine games right now. I just picked up Y’s book I & 2, PCE works sapphire, castlevania rondo of blood, star parodier, final lap, salamander, devils crush, and space harrier. I don’t even have a system to play them on until analogue ships my duo. Can’t wait.

I have the same feeling about Rogue Galaxy. Super nostalgic game, great graphics but I just couldn't get into it. There's just something about it though that I have fond memories of and can't let go of.
The idea of buying games that you know you don't like is crazy to me.
My most recent pick ups are Super Mario RPG, assassin's creed mirage, pocky and rocky reshrined, metal gear solid ultimate collection vol.1, robocop rogue city, and spider man 2. I really enjoyed mario rpg, like it so much I got hooked on it and beat it in a couple days what a hidden gem of a game (I never played the original SNES game)

I remember renting this game, when I didn't know how to read, and not really being able to play it, but being thrilled, having been thrilled, by seeing the 3D Mario, in the commercials.

I was 17 when I first started watching your show. Now I’m 32 and have 2 kids…your videos and the memories you’ve shared with me over the years are very special to me, and I appreciate each and every one. Looking forward to 15 more, Johnny! I picked up a bandana so I can be like old school you 😊 As for game pickups, I’ve recently been playing Cocoon, a game by Jeppe Carlsen who was the lead game designer for LIMBO and INSIDE. I know your not big on puzzles, but this game is very masterfully crafted and unique. Some of the later puzzles are giving me goosebumps. Loving it.

Mario RPG was a great remake. I love how concise it was. Finished it in like 14 hours and did everything, I love that!
I remember discovering this show 15 years ago, and it has been such a joy to see how much Johnny has grown not just for his youtube, but also just him as he has gotten older. The journey to quitting smoking, when he made his movie, and just the sponsorships he has gotten from some game companies that he choses. I love his way of telling stories and just his love for the pc engine also resonated with me as well, and he also introduced some of the other pc engine titles that I did not know at the time. To more years to come Johnny and also just bought a shirt, and to be honest this is the first time I've bought a youtuber's swag, but you deserve this as my appreciation to you.

That “mortes planar parade” looks like a spinoff from Planescape: Torment one of the seminal CRPGs of all time, its been released on consoles as well, a fantastic game
It's that Morte. You're right. A couple of CRPG characters have been adopted to the general D&D "official settings". Another famous one is the Minsc and Boo couple from Baldur's Gate
Square Enix didn't think it was a good idea to maybe restock their Collector's edition of Star Ocean before Christmas?... They gonna miss a lot of sales, no?😅

During Black Friday/week I picked up a bunch of games. Some highlights on PS5 were Tactics Ogre Reborn, Soul Hackers 2, Demon's Souls, and Elden Ring.
Lacrimosa of Dana definitely a 10/10 superb game
I always try to collect anything from Falcom sometimes even two copies lol Lacrimosa is one of the best things they’ve ever done.. I’m now trying to get through the ps5 version.. It’s more elaborate than Vita but I’m a little rusty with the controls.. The novel looks like a must buy and of course I’m hoping for some kind of follow up with Dana in the future.. Best girl imo
Never played Super Mario RPG.. bought it.. after 1 night I went out and upgraded to a Switch OLED finally, as I take this game with me everywhere now. Its great.

Last video game i got recently is radiant silvergun for the switch from lrg,johnny.Speaking of dungeon explorer there's been times i've thought how great it would be if TG16 came to nso.Just imagine if dungeon explorer had online for multiplayer.

I bought Tunic for the Nintendo Switch as a physical copy and A Shirt Hike for just 3 bugs on the eShop (the regular price in the sale was 5 or 4 bugs I think) so I’m happy that I got these two games also because I wanted to own Tunic‘s physical copy for a longtime so yeah I’m glad I finally have it in my Switch Game Collection ❤️🦊
My local game store was doing a Black Friday discount thing so I was able to pick up a big haul of games for way less than normal. He was already doing 25% off, but at checkout he asked me to roll a D8. I got a 4 and he said he'd take another 4% off. I was happy about that. XD I'm glad to have a good local game store.

Oh yeah, it's a great thing. I can stop by every once in a while and see if anything has come through in town. It's great when you live in a pretty rural area and there's like no more game stores anymore...It's convenient to be able to stop by while in the middle of other stuff..
Also, the owner is just a nice and good guy. I enjoy chatting with him about games for a bit whenever I stop in. It's good when a lot of your game loving friends have moved away and you don't get to chat very often.
Mythic GM emulator is awesome for tabletop games. Yes it’s supposed to replace a GM…so you can play solo or use it as a GM, but it’s a really good source to randomize events or anything with die rolls.
Just recently finished Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn and now I am playing a game that I ran across in the Playstation Plus game catalog and found interesting enough to download and play and now I love it - Eiyuden Chronicles Rising.

I've recently picked up physical copies of FFXVI,Redemption Reapers, Under the Waves and i picked up Virgo versus the Zodiacs digitally. But currently i'm playing Caligula Effect Overdose on my PS5 and Sega Vintage collection Monster World Wonderboy on my Series X.
I am playing Star Ocean Second Story R and it is enjoyable. I keep leveling up like crazy and it's addictive even though it's so easy to beat most enemies now lol. I got that Lacrimosa of Dana book already and now I'm more excited to read it :-)

You can make a small list. Write what you bought first that has been sitting on your shelf the longest. Switch up the systems and genres.
I picked up Mario RPG, DQ Monsters, Batman Trilogy, Star Renegades , Into the Breach and Slay the Spire for switch in the last couple weeks.
I’ve been watching for many years Jon you got me into new games too I grew up like you playing video games from a early age playing on Atari 2600 Commodore 64 spectrum 128 playing in the arcades Sega master system Super Nintendo pc Nintendo Wii PlayStation 3 PlayStation 4 Xbox 360 Xbox one and currently Nintendo switch PlayStation 5 Xbox series x so many great games over the years all the best to you and your family
My 3 buddies and I had a Dokupon kingdom game that spanned over a year and a half. I would come up to visit from out of state about once a month and each Sunday I did come up we would play Dokupon for hours. We'd get pizza or chinese food and just keep playing it. It never ends lol. We never did beat it but it's more about the journey.

Playing Super Mario RPG for the first time and I love it! I hope you love River City Girls 2. The soundtrack is great and the gameplay is a step up from the first.

Loving Star Ocean 2 remake- phenomenal RPG. I also about 26 hours in - it has some tough battles here and there!
Mario RPG is one of my favorite SNES games, but honestly I dunno if I'll ever go back to that version, the Switch version is just such a visual and convenience upgrade!
My recent pickups are these brand new games: Blasphemous II, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged Pure Fire Edition, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG and two pre-owned games: Final Fantasy X/X-2 (Asian version with both games on the cartridge) and Iconoclasts, all for the Switch this time around.
