Mine arrived this morning, I’ve got it working and have gone through the pre sets and it sounds great. I’ve been on it all day mainly just playing and exploring.
@ Hi, I’ve only tried the pre-sets so far, and some exploring of the individual sounds. I have found some tracking issues; on some scenes there can be a slight delay, but I have barely explored this instrument so far. There are all sorts of adjustments you can make to adjust the pickup sensitivity on individual strings. Also the guitar I’ve got it installed on still needs fine adjustments, and I think you have to have your guitar set up as perfectly as possible.
Boss devices sound so thin like sound is coming from far far away. The sounds are not present at all. Is it because whole bunch of overtones are missing in each notes. Like there in no high end and low ends at all. People call it compressed sound but i dont understand if compressed sound sound like this.
"Synth pledge" is seriously epic so it is understandable why you started there. I also like the "slime bass" that you made! Great use of this pedal and amazing demo here. Shameless plug for my direct input stereo ALL SOUNDS video for the GM-800: ruclips.net/video/bypQcEXoXsA/видео.html
Thanks for the positive review, but why does every presenter only show the over-produced and cheesy factory sounds instead of showing how really good sounds can be made with this unit? If you like - here is my approach on the GM: ruclips.net/video/gx_mA5C-Lak/видео.htmlsi=JbjIlImU8n0SjobB Best wishes
'cause they're mainly showing what people can expect 'out of the box'. You don't really sell a product on what you can do with hours of learning and tweaking. You sell a product on instant gratification.
I hear you, but the 'out of the box' patches just sound horrendous to me. So without my long experience with guitar synths I would never have bought the GM-800 in the first place and I guess other potential buyers aren't that enthusiastic either. @@filmskoolfulci9183
@@filmskoolfulci9183If it hadn‘t been for my 30 years of experience, the GM-800 with its „out of the box“ tones would have remained in the music store. If you have to swamp potential buyers with totally overproduced non usable & cheesy sounds there’s something wrong with your marketing strategy. This is why I think it is the job of the reviewers to dig up and show a bit of the real potential of this great unit.
@@ramon2008 The dude was this guy in a film who got his rug urinated on by a dog and that’s not me. I didn’t say my sounds are new - I just implied they are good GM-800 sounds, and if you call a reed organ with a Bach Chorale and a Blues on a Rhodes electric piano cheesy then what is the appropriate adjective for all the 80s synth fluff that comes preprogrammed with the the GM?

the silver wrist band has captivated me for years. It lends an authenticity to all your videos
Thank you for the tasteful sound-choice which definitely convinced me to think about a buy.

How's the tracking? is it still like the roland G55 that has ghost notes?

@charlesflint9048 Thanks for the info Bro ❤️
finally, a great demo
Wow, thats actually pretty amazing
Big question: is it better than the Fishman as far as tracking?
Is the tracking better than previous ones?
Wonderful?Does it do guitar tones too like a straight distortion, phaser for direct guitar playing?
So cool !
How's the tracking? is it still like GR55 roland?
Is that Luna you are recording on? Sounds really good! 👍🏻

Well done

Scratch the overpriced Eventide H90 off my GAS list. Best of both worlds.

Your approach is just as cheesy dude. Nothing new in either your or his video.

Actually sounds so far are useless
In a live gig
How so? It just wouldn’t be a rock oriented genre like the guitar is usually associated with.
