- Hello, 3D Printing friends! Today we're going to fix an unresponsive touch screen on the Monoprice Maker Select Plus 3D Printer. This should also work on the touch screen for the Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus, and the Cocoon Create Touch 3D printers.

Dude.. excellent video! My touch screen started acting wonky out of nowhere and if only the manufacturer had this info on their troubleshooting guide. This solved it! You're a day savior!

Amazing tip pal! I was entangled with several threads about how to fix that. It´s one of those hidden secrets that aren´t in the user guide troubleshooting.
Had an issue with a non-res[ponsive screen on a Hydrawise Irrigation controller. Their customer service had no solutions. It was clear that the touchscreen was non-responsive. Then I saw your video and calibration did not reset put using an iPad pen and going slowly and feeling my way around the screen allowed me to do the configuration I needed. Thank you!!!!
What I am finding hard to understand is that with near on 74k subscribers there are only 248 likes on a video I would class as golden. Great advice been given here people in my opinion. Its a big thumbs up from me.

Yep. You helped me! I started taking the printer apart and was like...wait, let me see if Bryan has anything to say--sure enough, you saved me a ton of frustration! I was making a time-lapse video, and apparently the electronics in my Iphone, which was sitting near the LCD screen, "de-calibrated" it.
It's weird that it happened, but I'm glad this video was able to help you out! I never figured out what caused my screen to lose calibration, either.

Another really useful video, Thanks Brian. I notice what looks like a BL Touch on that printer. Did you ever get round to making a video on fitting one to that printer or is it too complex for your usual style which makes everything very clear and easy to follow ?

I know this is an old video but I have an Anycubic Vyper. The touch isnt working on it after initial setup and the seller said he isnt responsible for it. So was wondering if you had any thoughts?

Another great video, my problem is that the control knob on my Voxelab Aquila is becoming unresponsive at times, do you have any way of fixing it? Also I have seen on Amazon a touch screen replacement for the Creality Ender 3 printers and I was wondering if it would be suitable on the Aquila.

i wish i had found this earlier, just peeled off the plastic touch protective screen only to realize the connection tracks broke off with the screen! A new touch screen is on order.
Hello, I was wondering if I could put in a request for a video on how to upgrade the stepper drivers on the monoprice/wanhao duplicator i3 plus?
I tried several times in the touch Screen of my HP LASERJET M 880, but I can't get into the calibration routine, is there another way to enter in calibration routine
always gotta stay until the end.. never know, one day there might be bonus info/prizes!
Do you have any solutions for a blank LCD screen? My screen responds to the calibration, but then goes back to a dull glow and nothing else.

I wonder what caused this, does it boot with a config file for the touch feature?
I suspect it was just random technological weirdness. The screen is a self-contained computer with its own SD card slot. It communicates with the printer's mainboard by a serial connection. When you perform actions on the screen, such as homing the printer, the screen sends the appropriate G-code commands to the printer. And it monitors the mainboard's serial output, so it sees (and displays) Marlin's regular temperature updates.
Did you try turning it off and on again 1st? :P

Hey I’m having problem with Biqu b1 printer screen it’s upside down there is only touch recognization in only the bottom right and left corners can anybody help me out.
Touchscreen not working, a little windex and rubbing alcohol to clean the grime off worked!!!
