    Celiac Mom Playlist: bit.ly/celiacplaylist

  • @maryamory1549

    Thanks. I was anemic my entire life, bumps on my scalp, lower weight…
    I found out at 56. My mom passed away at 58 from a “ rare liver disease” -now related to Celiac’s. I came out “ higher than anyone that the lab person has ever seen.” My sister also was diagnosed as an adult and other family members have gluten and dairy issues. I have realized I am having an issue with dairy.
    All I was given was a business card for a dietician who many deals with diabetics
    You have to learn about it on your own. If they can’t give you a drug or procedure for something, talk to a nutritionist, read about it , educate yourself.
    I have now outlived my mom at 61. Miss her every day.

      I’m so sorry to hear about you and your family. So heartbreaking. Best wishes with your diet. Celiac and other dietary restrictions can be so tricky. Hang in there. ❤️

    Thank you! Do you make any special considerations for gluten flour?

    • @SuperCaliListic
      @SuperCaliListic  4 месяца назад +1

      I basically do not keep gluten flour in the house. That would be really tricky to contain. Probably keep it and the use of it to a very strict area and being very careful when transporting it. Good luck. Let me know if you find a system that works.

    As a residential cleaner, should I be careful with rags, too? Even if they are clean?

    • @SuperCaliListic
      @SuperCaliListic  Год назад

      This is such a good question. If you are cleaning a completely gluten free kitchen you could have towels that are designated gluten free, just in case. Our kitchen is not completely gluten free, so I go with if it has run through the laundry and/or the dishwasher, I consider it safe enough. I do now have a "gluten free" sponge, as I realize that could also spread gluten into unwanted places.

    How do you disinfect your dishes if you don't have a dishwasher

    • @SuperCaliListic
      @SuperCaliListic  Год назад +1

      That is a really good question. Your best bet is to ask your doctor’s advice, but if it were me I would probably do a set of GF dishes and cookware just to prevent cross contamination. Also have a GF sponge and a Gluten sponge for hand washing dishes. Good luck. It’s so hard to prevent cross contamination when there is gluten in the kitchen. ❤️

      Honestly, I would maybe just get a new one. It depends on the toaster oven. Good luck.
