@@thefisherbrad haha I suppose there is a chance! I looked online and found some pics of pike with the same yellow eyes, so it does seem to be somethings that happens to pike in general, but it's the first I have seen
The Tenkara rod is a whole 'nother level of connection with the fish. If I had to put a number on it, it's about 3-4 times more sensitive than my nice ultra light rod. It's just a total direct connection with the fish. Feels more like a level playing field, and you can really appreciate the power of the fish more - especially smallies!

Poor dude can't eat because it lost it's depth perception.
He'll be alright I think - I have caught some blind pike before - they can still hunt because of their lateral lines and other senses
