Some of these new features look awesome! I've always had trouble with the timelapse feature not going fast enough, and that's solved now, so I'll be using that for sure.

I had to, as well. Took me a few months, but it was well worth it! and you never actually HAVE to upgrade it. But upgrades are cheaper once you own it. It's primary competition, is a pay to play annually. So, I chose the one that doesn't require saving up, EVERY YEAR to get. But instead saving up when I can.
FinRis7 they don't have any video classes in middle school ;_; I'm in 6th grade and I have trails and some.....scripted ones that I kinda pirated...

Hey guys, I think it's great that you're doing this. My video editor is Movavi and that compared with my shitty camcorder gives me very low resolution products, but I still try to make the most of it. However, Movavi has VERY limited options to choose from and it's just annoying to use.
hey so I think the fact that this version is so straight forward is what makes it a desirable product for me. I seem to get confused with the massively detailed functions of some editing software, so the simplicity and effectiveness of this one is more to my liking.

im a small gameing channel and i like to do pan zoom but don't have alot of time to edit, and with vegas 13 it takes about 5 minutes just to do that one thing, this would help me cut down my editing time so that i can produce more content for my subscribers, thanks for this opportunity and thanks for all the amazing music over the years, ps i started using vegas because of you guys
hey I just got myself a new camera that can film in 60 fps. The new slowmotion matchup settings look pretty awesome and handy. Im not saying I deserve a copy I would just love to have it. especially as how I want to start taking youtube more serious and this would be an amazing start.

I have been a subscriber and a fan of you two for years! I think it is awesome you are giving back to your fans. I have been doing videos for years now but my editing software is a bit ourdated. I'm still running Sony Vegas 10. I love editing with Vegas as it is super user friendly and easy to learn. I have been out of the video making scene for awhile now because I had to sell my camera, lights and rigs to pay for a crazy custody battle for my daughter. A new editing software would be a great way to help get me going again. The HEVC file looks to be amazing since it would help decrease upload time without sacrificing quality. The scrub mode would be handy for finding the right spots in the footage. Would be honored if you chose me but a huge congrats to who wins!
Hey Terabrite. I'm 16 and I play drums and guitar, I want to post videos on RUclips, but unfortunately i don't have video editing software. The camera I have is really good, but when I tried out my friends Sony Vegas 12. it was very laggy. So I would use Magix 14 to edit and playback my covers without any problems. You guys are the best. Are you going on tour ever.

I have been waiting for Vegas to have a change, a make over, and Magix just proved that they are capable of making that dream come true, Vegas is in safe hands. All videos on my channel were edited on previous versions of Vegas. Would love to own Vegas 14 and try out the cool new features especially the conform to project frame rate. That is a feature I am thrilled about.

A lot of the new stuff in this looks great and even the stuff that's been in Vegas for a while are features I don't have access to with my current software. I was recently hired as a Digital Media teacher at a Junior / Senior high school. Having this software would be amazing as I would be able to begin learning for myself how vegas works and potentially start a media club at our school. I havent used vegas since I was in high school, so learning the features would be almost completely new to me :)
Cool tutorial I really can understand what Magix is about to do with this app. The feature that most interest me the most is the 4k up scaling because a lot of time I have various files with different resolutions and to be able to make 1080p footage UHD-esque is pretty sick! I definitely would be efficient with this new update to Vegas and I will be ecstatic if I was the lucky commenter! Very well thanks for this video and opportunity!
I'd love to pick up my old hobby to make videos about tv shows or movies and stuff like that.
The smart zoom and the slow motion tools seem the most useful to me for that purpose. Haven't used vegas in a long time since it's so expensive!

I've been using Vegas for years, since pro8 was new. It has always been my favorite editing software, and I've used it for a variety of media projects....everything from editing documentary style videos and class projects, making graphics and animations, even simple things like cropping audio, I'll do that with Vegas too. On this account I post fan made music videos of Tv/Anime/Movie clips edited to songs, all of which I made with Vegas. The Vegas series has served me well.
1000% speed envelope is awesome, and the project re sample mode looks really convenient (i still remember one project where I had to manually disable the re sampling on hundreds of clips...how tedious!). smart zoom looks nice too, I'd be interested to try that out. Some of these new features really make me want the upgrade. (I currently use pro12)
I played the bass, ukulele, guitar and a few other string instruments. I would like to start my own RUclips channel with a nice editing program. I would use the crop features to zoom into the neck for a solo or something along those line.
I edit videos for my church as a volunteer, both the service videos/announcements, and the webcast. Being able to use a pro-level product that is not in my budget than would be a major blessing. The HEVC (to compensate for our slow internet uploads), and the hover scrub (for piecing together all the fast-cut clips we use) seem like they have potential. Thanks!

Since I am still currently using Vegas Movie Studio 11, winning this contest would really mean a lot. I use this software to edit any and all videos I make as well as share the software with the rest of my family who as use it quite frequently. With the type of editing I do, smart zoom and smart upscale would be the two features I would be most looking forward to using :)
I would love to get this because I have been into video editing for the last few years. I feel like this can further my skills and help me make better videos. I love the new frame rate feature. It'll help make the slow motion that I use sometimes a lot smoother. I also like the smart zone because I tend to crop things and it'll make it not as degraded when I do. Never tried a Vegas Pro before, I've used Adobe Premiere & Final Cut Pro so this is quite interesting to me.
As a RUclipsr of 8 years (6 on this channel), having the latest and greatest editing software is a must, but it's really expensive. An opportunity like this could breathe some fresh life in my editing game. Particularly interested in the smart zoom and smart upscale features, and how I could use that creatively. :)

A friend of mine and I are trying to start a production company where we offer quality studio recordings, as well as live studio or recital video recordings. Unfortunately I would not know how to take advantage of the features, as I am the audio engineer. But right now we are just re-upping trial versions of Adobe, and it is very much a hassle. This would be a great help in our ventures, and would also spark creativity. I love what you guys do, and I would love to produce the quality that terabrite does! Thanks!

I would love having this version of Vegas. I've been using Vegas since I started my youtube channel and I being a perfectionist hated how difficult it was to match everything together WITHOUT (keyword) loosing the quality of the video. Having Vegas 14 will make everything easier for me to edit everything. I mean damn the reason I even built my computer was design for video editing in mind.
I would love to win this! The disable resample thing seems so handy cause disabling that manually on a lot of clips is such a pain! Also the HEVC and File Scrubbing sound really good to me :)
I'm currently majoring in Film and love every second of it! Vegas was the first program I ever learned to edit on, and I've been using an older version for years. I've recently starting using Video Pro x7 which is also by Magix. The lens I have for my camera doesnt have the greatest zoom, and when I try to zoom in during post-production, the quality goes down quite a bit. Vegas Pro 14's smart zoom will definitely help fix that! I'd really like to try to make my career outside of Hollywood, and the better editing programs I have, the better quality videos I'll be able to produce to help get a name for myself! I hope to be able to do music videos professionally and you guys are such an inspiration.

Hello Terabrite! I'm a small recording studio and I just offered video editing. I'm so thankful that Vegas is really easy to learn. Vegas Pro 14 must really be a big improvement so I want to win it!
Smart zoom will help me correct bad shots (I'm still learning videography) and HEVC support will really help with my HDD space problems. I still want to explore other features though!
I think, i deserve it because i'm going to start doing music covers with some friends, and i'll be the "director" and the camera, and sound checker and so on xD

Hi! I´m a Vegas user since the Movie Studio Version 6 and Pro 8 version. I bought all Pro upgrades except the 12 version.
I deserve win that copy of Vegas because since almost two years ago, all day I decided to spend a lot of time teaching users how to use Vegas, shortcuts, edition tips, advanced editions, etc, and I never gave up vegas even with all the bug, hangs and crashes in all versions I bought.
I want to continue do that free help and tutorials now in version 14, but the upgrade value is very higher for me cause I live in Brazil and last years the currency is seriously undervalued against dollar or euro, then the value of the upgrade is the same as the sum of the values of my electricity bill + water bill + condominium bill + internet bill + phone bill.
I'll be very glad to continue my free help service for vegas users and also help to Magix on improving the software by sending feedback and opinions, as I have done by email.
I deserve the new Vegas pro 14 because I shoot and edit music videos and record for my own personal RUclips page. This would help with advancing my ability in editing and make my videos look way more professional and get more attention for future shoots I could do. I would for sure use the new hover scrub to find certain scenes to edit faster. The new effects section would be amazing for my new skit and live action films I would like to do and the smart zoom would be great for added effect.

I have been with Vegas for YEARS! Building a NEW 4K Editing system, GeForce Video card upgrade and a switch to SSD's! The speed ramping is of very special interest for the IndieFilm I am producing now... VEGAS 14 would be the Editing System of choice!

YES, but my system will be upgraded to a EVGA1070 card and possibly a main SSD which should improve playback immensely...

Hey guys, awesome review! Magix did a good job with this one. But I wonder how Vegas pro 14 now integrates with Sound Forge Pro 11. Have you experienced any issues in that respect? I'm not aware of any update from Magix about Sound Forge Pro 11, would be great if they plan to do so.

I wasn't to win so I can have a good program to start a new RUclips channel. I've been wanting to creating music videos for songs that inspire me. I would like to create a "cover" music video (if that makes any sense). It's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I think winning this would be a push in the right direction. Being the winner would really be the best! The feature I think I would really like use is the higher velocity envelope limit. I have some things in mind that I think would be really cool!
Lol, okay, I don't know how to go about this. Okay, well to start off, I do enjoy editing videos and creating visual effects. I usually will give up halfway though, because of how time consuming it is or how difficult the program is to work with (premier for example). Anyways, I like the format and ease of Vegas and would love to have a copy to use, and hopefully create videos with. I'm a 3D animator, and editing videos is a lot of time due to exporting the frames from the start and then going in and adding effects. A thing like the updated preview would help so much, I always like triple check the clips and I hate when it will like load the whole clip, but still want to lag. Another cool feature that would help a bunch is that improved zoom feature, because I would be doing at lot of that as a dank memer, and you can't have memes without zooms.

Project resample mode looks good, plus 4k is a great option! I'm an eve online player, and have a exceptionally old and horrible video that windows movie maker helped me make. So I'd be using the Magix Vegas to make better videos for eve online wth the other software I have to collect the video to start.

When I saw your tutorials, I had no idea what the majority meant, the only thing that seemed basic enough for me to understand was messing with the frame rate and how to fix the blur, the rendering with smaller space with good quality is something i'd be able to do as well :D

I have been using this software from the beginning. As far back as when Sonic Foundry owned it and it was called Video Factory. It then got bought out by Sony and was eventually transitioned to Vegas Pro. Now it owned by Magix which is very exciting!
I have been stuck editing in Vegas Pro 9. It has been hard seeing all the new changes in Vegas and not being able to use it since I am still on version 9. Don't get me wrong, I love version 9 but would definitely love to use a more updated version and use so many new features that I don't currently have available to me.
I would love to use some of the new features that deal with slow-motion clips as I do a lot of wedding videography and do a lot of slow motion with clips. I also would like to test the new DVD architect out as well since I still burn DVDs/Blu-rays for married couples. DVD architect has not been updated in quite some time and I would like to see what new features they have. I would love to win the new Vegas Pro 14!!!

What a great opportunity! I totally want to enter :D Let's see... I make speed drawing videos on my channel. I've been using a older version of vegas to edit my footage and it has gotten to the point where i have over 3 hours of footage of me drawing and if i want to speed it up to about 2-3 minutes, i have to render my footage multiple times to achieve that kind of timelapse. With the new feature to be able to apply event velocity to 1000% i don't have to make multiple pre renders and that would also keep the quality of my footage intact. Also the possibility to put disable resample to the whole project is a huge quality of life improvement. Those are my reasons for wanting the new version of vegas. I edited with Vegas testversions before. But I had always problems with my PC. Now I have enough pocket money to buy me a new. And I want this program so Bad to edit my videos I make with my friends and maybe upload them on RUclips. So if u guys let me win, I'll be so happy 😍
I would use the vegaspro to edit my ski videos. Ive never got a good editor with wich i could do good edits. And I would use the animation to do amazing eye blink things in my pov shots. It would mean the wprld to get this price!
I have been wanting to make RUclips videos for a little over 2 years now (I had made some on a different channel a couple of years before that but I'd rather never talk about those. They were that bad! Haha). I have a good camera but after buying that camera I can't afford an editing system. Many people have recommended Final Cut to me. I was going to try and save up for an Apple Mac since I didn't think you could get final cut for PC computers but having seen this I would LOVE to get it!

Is there a way to export/import the custom plugins of Vegas Pro so that I can use the same settings and plugins on another PC?

Hello! That's fancy stuff you got there. I've actually never used Vegas before, but have really wanted to for a long time! Personally, I'd use it for AMVs and my art. My friend's birthday is coming up soon, and I really wanted to make her an AMV of her favorite anime. I've looked at a bunch, and I love the effects they put into them, things I could never do. If I had Vegas, I could make amazing videos I can feel proud of! I may even be able to submit a video to a AMV contest, something I've been afraid to do since my videos lack such amazing effects.
On the other hand, I love art, and want to become an animator. I feel like Vegas could help boost my creativity, open my eyes to new things. As a trying artist and future animator, Vegas would be a good tool for me.

Vegas pro is great, a very smooth workflow. Vegas Studio could use more of its big brother's smoothness. I am considering upgrading to Vegas Pro 14, before I pull my hair out with a competitor's product that has too many glitches.
Hey I have a question about the velocity. Can I set the velocity max down to 300% in the options like you have the velocitybar in sony vegas 13? Velocity of 1000% is to much for my videoedits and its to hard to edit when the bar can go to 1000% velocity
I would love to win Vegas Pro because I've been wanting to restart doing youtube for a while now. I currently have Movie Studio (10 I believe) and it obviously does not have as many features. Out of the features you mentioned, the Smart Zoom I think would be the most useful to me. Considering I used to make gaming videos (and that's what I want to continue making), I don't need TOO many fancy effects, but a good zoom gets the point across for a lot of things. Also definitely the Improved Preview. I remember a long time ago I made a video that had like 5 different screens and I just could not preview it without rendering the section I wanted to see. It just would not work for me. That would be amazing :)
I've been a huge Terabriteer/Brite for about 5 years now expecting nothing but good music and good times and since then I have graduated from high school stepped up my video editing game with a pro version of Vegas 13--Either way I would love to start getting paid gigs to edit for various content creators and businesses within the area and with the upgrade, It would be nice to finally have an updated platform.
I've always been a bit annoyed with the laggy (blonde) playback, especially on my laptop's processor, so selective, full res previews should be a proverbial godsend.
As far as added effects, I'm usually amazed by the little things, so the ability to edit vignettes, and to let It be a stand alone effect, would look beautiful.
And ALL rendered In beautiful 1440p 60fps!!
I wish I could think of more reasons, but I'm probably WAY too late--Be It13 or 14, there WILL be plenty of use, especially In the coming months.. ;D

I'm getting into music and filming more and the only software I have is just windows movie maker and it's completely horrible for editing the way I need to edit my videos. eventually I wanted ri do a timelapse with one of my friends while they work on a large painting for our school but windows movie maker goes so far.
