For any one who cannot find the QuickTime option in render you should do the following: 1- Be sure QuickTime is installed in your computer. 2- Inside Vegas ==> Options ==> Preferences ==> Depreciated Feature ==> Enable The QuickTime plugin Be sure its enabled.

I get what you're doing, but you can do this in mp4. You're telling the people to render into a format which (.mov) which will potentially cause problems for them down the line in sony vegas because it's not a format with native encoding to the program, especially if the file is big and you want to edit it in vegas. Use MP4 with similar settings people!

When I do use the keyer and then render, I import my .mov file into my clip & apply "Straight (unmatted)" the background it works. But the problem is when I then wanna drag my lower third to wherever on the screen there's a darker transparent background (1920x1080) on my clip making it clearly visible, any help?
I need desperate help. My keyframes are lagging behind. It's not the preview window because when I opened up a new project and tried it, the moving was smooth as it should be. It is a project from sony vegas 13 to sony vegas 15. could that have something to do with it? But i put in a new asset and delled the old one. I also erased all the keyframes and it still didnt work.

You can also use chroma key and just select the black part of the image and it will get rid of it... Then it would only show your text with whatever color you had underneath the video for background...

Install Quicktime and do it just as he says. It works nicely!

Change Track Compositing Mode to "Screen" As Well if that's not working,
if it doesn't, do everything he just said, bust save as .Mp4 instead of .mov

It's easier to just make your transparent text in paint.net (or photoshop) & import it into your vegas project.

yes you could but it could leave you with some grain depending on the colours of the layer, this method removes those things from happening
