TIP: When writing your comment for the giveaway keep in mind we want you to talk about ALL of your favorite new features and explain why they would benefit you! I've noticed a few people only referring to one new feature which is fine, but we are probably more likely to choose someone who refers to more than 1 if that is one of the 10 randomly picked comments because that suggests to us that you really want this and took the time to watch the entire video! Good luck everyone!

I love how streamlined and user friendly the program has gotten honestly. I'm a high school senior who aspires to enter the film production industry, so this program would help immensely with that as far as having when I'm in University next year, as well as developing my skills prior to that.

I appreciate the tutorial, the new features are amazing. I finished grad school and received my MBA. I decided taking a risk, quitting my job to start my own company was what was best for my career. One of the keys to success is social media presence. I love the LUT filters, it takes video quality and give it a professional finish as if it was shot for the big screen. The picture in picture's ability to deliver different facets on a single surface is very fascinating. What really excites me is the ease of having multiple correlated streaming sources playing simultaneously. I really enjoyed watching the tutorial showing how things were done in previous versions compared to how it is done in version 15. It really shows how they had work flow efficiencies in mind while creating the new features. Vegas Pro 15 would help in creating professional looking videos for my company social media awareness and website to elevate my brand image above competitors.

My favorite new features are the new dark interface, the ofx plugins for picture-in-picture and crop, and the video bus track. My eyes are not what they used to be. I find that it's easier to read white text against a dark background. Plus I think it looks more professional. I use picture-in-picture and panning a lot. The event pan/crop and track motion features I always found confusing. And it seemed like those windows come up a different size every time and I am constantly resizing. Sometimes I have to move them over so I can actually see the preview screen. It would be so great to actually be able to do that work directly on the preview screen! And the video bus track! I never knew about it, so it's a new feature for me. To be able to make a change to the whole video at once will save so much time. All of these new features will save time. I have a RUclips channel, but I also do projects for people, and sometimes I have to turn down a project because I know I won't be able to meet the client's deadline. The time these new features will save may mean more projects for me. Thank you for this video! I learned a lot.

    Yes. SO much yes.
I've been using Sony Vegas since i first started video editing as a hobby in like early middle school (started with pro 8) and there has been such a massive improvement. The hamburger button will save my life because I ALWAYS had the issues of the layout resetting and things disappearing. The overall upgrade of the user interference makes it so much easier and user friendly for beginners ♥

Besides the dark theme (easier on my eyes), hamburger buttons and master bus options (which make my final touches even easier), the same-screen plug-in edits are awesome! Who wants to waste time toggling per each edit/crop? Lastly, the LUT addition will be coveted, due to my obsession with organisation. All of my favorite tools will be more convenient to find. You both explained Vegas 15 superbly! Thank you for the amazing overview.

my new favourites features are definitely first of all the new look!
i found it was a little complicated and it sometimes annoyed me so much that i just quit editing and now it just looks neat!
2nd thing is the picture in picture feature, also for let‘s plays.
i wouldn’t actually benefit from it, but my boyfriend would, and i am editing his videos! :)
he’s pretty new on youtube so it would help him/us out a lot

I watched this video with 2x speed and I feel great.
Honestly my favorite is probably copying specific settings from 1 clip to another but also a thing that might not be super obvious.
Adding that hotkey for a freezframe is actually just a hotkey for addding a velocity curve rather than right clicking and hovering over the insert velocity and then actually clicking it. I use velocity on almost all my broll so that will be a big time saver

Hi TeraBrite! Thank you for giving us this opportunity to step up our game with Sony Vegas! I've been a Mac user for a long time using iMovie for years since it was all I really needed until I upgraded to fcp since it's better at managing multiple clips at once. However, as I've started growing my channel I've since switched to windows as my main OS (it's soooooo much better for live streaming with RUclips Gaming) - the only problem is I'm stuck editing my vids on a 2012 Mac, so the first way I would benefit is through finally having a way to fully switch to windows for all my YouTubousity.
As for specific features of the new and improved Vegas, I love the simplicity of moving around windows in the interface - my computer is always so clunked up with stuff I don't need taking up screen space. With modules I don't need or want and it'd be nice to prioritize the ones I use the most.
Another feature I love is using the track motion window to directly affect multiple layers - this would make my life sooooo much easier for moving my facecam around during my gaming let's plays! The picture in picture plug-in looks like heaven! 👼
I also use freeze frame a lot when I make my videos so the new freeze frame feature looks very intuitive and I'm excited for that! It really is an important part of let's plays since there are moments where something happens in gameplay and you have to STOP and point out the funny thing happening!
To be honest I'm a super noob when it comes to the color gambit and lighting effects - but I do love that there are so many customization options to tweak and test out for the best picture possible!
The one I'd use the most, however, is the improvement to cropping clips - I love to make my face tiny.... and HUGE for comedic effect but it takes forever with my current set up, especially for gameplay where there are important things all over the screen due to HUD and enemies all over. Not to mention the improvements and ease when it comes to adding the widescreen crop to the video as a whole - I've never figured out how to add those beautiful black bars without pasting a dumb black png onto the screen and resizing it haha.
So all in all I just want to say thank you showing us the new features of the software AND giving me the chance to possibly win :) Much love!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a retired Air Force veteran, and a videographer, . My specialty is sports videos (game film, highlight reels, etc.) I upgraded to Vegas 12, and stopped there due to the lack of "impressive" and helpful features in the new versions. I was on-the-fence about upgrading to Vegas 15...till now! Your tutorial has done a GREAT job in laying out the new features. P in P, this is awesome. I wanted to capability to add a P in P feature to my videos. GPU Accceleration. OUTSTANDING!!! I'm also a gamer, and I built a custom PC with an NVIDIA graphics card specifically for the GPU acceleration in Vegas 12, but it was not impressive. Video Bus...I'll take advantage of that feature. AES...not something I've used, but good to know it's there. Fade & Opacity...I like the change in how the clips are dragged. Freeze Frames..WOW! You're description of how Freeze Frame used to be created is spot on. I use FREEZE Frame in EVERY video, so this will seriously improve my workflow! One thing you didn't talk about was Key Frames. I use this feature in EVERY highlight reel to add motion to Still shots. Has this been improved. One more thing, which edition of Vegas 15 is the better choice? Ok, that's my comment, and I'm now a subscriber. I'd love to win a copy of Vegas Pro 15. Also, check out my RUclips page, and please subscribe.

I've been using Vegas since version 5. I really like the direction that Magix is giving my favorite piece of software and their enthusiasm will help the product greatly.
In this version here are my favorite new options:
    - The New Crop FX - So true that the original pan/crop was confusing
    - Easy Freeze Frame - Easy is good
    - LUT support - Wow, I'm very impressed by this option
    - Selective Paste - It's easy to have a pile of video FX on a clip, This will be a big time saver.
    - The "Edit Visible Button Set" option (under the 3 little bars on each clip) is a great new option.
    - And my favorite new feature not mentioned in this video: Vegas can now renders in ProRes! This is huge.

I use Vegas Pro 13 and love it! This release looks fantastic, especially with the flexibility of the cropping plug-in, the ability to selectively paste effects from one clip to another, and the ability to add some of your frequently used buttons in easy-access places like the video header. So handy! I've used Vegas Pro 12 previously, and always look forward to the new ideas they'll come up with. Great overview and editing tips... I'm a tech nerd and always look forward to these tidbits from you guys! :D

My favorite new feature in Vegas Pro 15 is 100% the dark user interface, that will really help me when I working many hours on advanced details... I like some of the other new features as well, but they really need to allow us to import more file-formats into Vegas Pro.
I like to work with raw video files, cause I don't want even a bit loss of quality!
    - Vegas wont even accept simple formats like (mkv.) & (ts.), and I refuse to encode or convert files just to be able to work with em' in Vegas... I editing Promo, trailer, tributes and highlight videos, and often use a bunch of source files for just one project, and usually they've all a quite big file size, it can take a war before I can start editing. Only because Sony wont use codecs to read Matroska, TS. and other well known file-formats.
Even god damn Filmora by Wondershare are able to read/import almost ALL kind of formats, and I really mean all, and it's actually pretty powerfull to handle the advanced formats... The problem is just that I only find "Filmora" useful as a video cutter/clipper, but as a editing tool (IT SUCK)

Even as a long term user (v11) I learned a lot here. Somehow I missed the Crop and PiP plugins, doing it all the old fashioned way. That's HUGE. Video bus is also new to me, and that's just so cool for final grading. Besides in inline editing my favorite feature is actually Sub Projects... creating projects you Include in a Master Project. For slow animation projects I can choose to render some and literally replace the subproject with the rendered version.

I really do love the VEGAS Pro 15. I really would love to do reaction videos for my channel but I always used these editing apps that were super confusing. Nice overview! It was one of your older Vegas Pro videos (11 I think?) that gave me a reason to subscribe here. I use Vegas Pro for work daily making music videos, mostly for local hip hop artists. It's always nice to see your videos and covers, as I don't know of anyone else using Vegas for music videos. Would be nice to see more original songs from you guys ;)
I've been on the fence deciding whether to upgrade or not, and I think your video has pretty much convinced me I need to.
Currently with 14 I use the FilmConvert plugin for all my S-Log 2 footage which works really well. I've been using a trial version of 15 testing the ACES colour space, and it provides a similar look to Film Convert using a setting where I don't have to manually select S-Log 2. And I'm really liking it. Not as much of a CPU hit as with FilmConvert, so is definitely something I would use. That said, your method here is most likely the correct way to use it. Thanks for covering that.
The cropping plugin, yes, I haven't tried that in the trial version yet. I've always been happy with the normal cropping window, but can see how the plugin would be much better. Especially not having to worry about messing up the aspect ratio.
The selective copy and paste attributes I will definitely use too. I already have this feature via the Vegasaur extension I bought a while back. Although the last video I used that on, it totally screwed me over. I pasted some effects onto a bunch of clips, but it did some weird thing and altered the start positions. So having that as a standard feature in Vegas Pro will make a big difference.
The new MP4 encoder will definitely come in handy too, as the old Main Concept one won't work with a graphics card.
So yeah, I would love to win the copy you have, although I'm now certain I will upgrade anyway once I've finished a few current projects in Vegas Pro 14. Which will probably take another week or so. The included NewBlueFX plugins are much welcome bonus too.

Ok guys now that I've had some time to sit and watch this after editing weddings and wrestling I currently use Vegas Pro 13 and this video on Vegas Pro 15 was really eye opening and as a Editor like myself I was amazed with all the new features the ones that stood out to me the most were: 1. PIP Fx this right here is really really useful when editing wrestling I can not tell you how much I've had to sit and crop like crazy and try to make all my PIP footage match in size using the weird cropping tool, so that's a big one for me right there. 2. New Cropping Fx tool again another top feature that will save me a lot of time and aggravation when editing. 3. Freeze Frame FX now for this one I didn't even know about freeze frames so that one was cool to learn about and definitely would be useful to have whether I win or end up upgrading later on. 4. The new layout, man can I just say how frustrating it was to have the little icons on the thumbnails and you accidentally click one?? lol it's happened a lot and this new version definitely fixes that which is awesome and very cool and user friendly which I like. 5. As DJ said I didn't know about the Video Bus feature until this video and that is really cool and will save me a lot of time when editing so I don't have to do individual stuff to each clip if I want it to look a certain way!! Thanks again for sharing this new version of Vegas and all it's cool new features. I really hope I win so my editing can be sped up a little bit faster. -K-LO

Okay, so right now I use Pinnacle 16 for editing, which is pretty old in terms of software. I've had my eye on Vegas for a bit but can't afford the hefty price tag. I really love the new interface (less clutter), faster speed, (Pin16 can be laggy), picture in picture, selective pasting events attributes, and the cropping feature. Those are the features that I would use the most at first until I became acquainted with the rest. I could really use this software because edit previously filmed home movies for families and Vegas 15 would definitely take my work to the next level for them. My work is by donation only and usually done for families in memoriam of a deceased relative. Thanks for this opportunity! And by the way, I love the cover of Paramore's Hard Times. Great stuff!

My favorite feature is the Aces 1.0 as I dealt with difference in contrast from different camera sources in the timeline. With the Aces 1.0 I can stabilize that difference and make my workflow way quicker by getting all the clips to look the same! Thanks.

    Hello Terabrite!
Well I'm currently using Vegas Pro 13 and would LOVE the upgrade! I really love the easy instant freeze frame as well as just the sleeker design to the program. I also love the bus track that affects the whole project and how much easier it is to use. I can really see this helping me improve my magic videos for my own youtube channel! Hope yall will choose me! Love you guys! =D

My absolute favorite new feature has to be the improved method of cropping, including the wide-screen cropping, which has given me so much trouble over the years! I've been using Sony Vegas Pro 12 for the last four-five years in hopes of learning and putting into use techniques to become a professional video editor. I love editing and the creations that you can do with it, and 15 would just be so much of an improvement to help me move on from editing popular source material for practice to hopefully help others with editing their projects. Thank you for the info on the new Vegas, and I hope whoever gets it puts it to great use!

My favourite new features in Vegas 15 are picture in picture, video cropping effect and wide screen cropping option. It is great because Magix made basic things less time consuming! Definitely it will save some time with my other projects!
I also find a modern window docking and a new personalized user interface quite interesting and fresh. It for sure changes the overall looks of the software in a good way. Looks more pro!
Hardware acceleration improvements are quite cool. Because of that Vegas got closer to other major/popular video editing software by adding some extra hardware support.
Adding visible button set on a tracks is nice too, will keep things more tidy and accordingly to personal preferences or video project needs.
Regarding the video bus track, I mostly use audio bus tracks on a mixer, cool and useful thing while mixing audio in some projects.
ACES 1.0 did pretty nice job in the video, might be very useful one day for 'color matching' different sources.
I am also very interested in a Magix AVC MP4 CODEC rendering performance - seems to be a time-saver.
    Kind regards!

I'm familiar with older Vegas pro softwares so the new interface looks pretty awesome! I think that would look so nice while I edit. I'd probably just open it up to stare at it!! Anyway, I'm a high school student who loves to sing/create covers, produce and edit music videos, and film Sims 2 movies and clips. I cannot afford a video editing software as good as Vegas pro 15 however, so winning this would be such a blessing! To start off, the video bus, even though it's not new, would be really beneficial to me. I just found about it from this video! Since I make Sims 2 videos and music videos, I have to individually select multiple clips and change them to a preset that will allow the videos to have cinematic wide screen crop or coloring soooo that's time consuming. This would really help a lot to get all that done with one stone - it'd make editing such a breeze! Also, the concept of selectively pasting attributes effect would do the same for me - I find it so cool how you can choose what attributes to paste to the other clip. That's a really big improvement from Vegas Pro and that would make editing really efficient for me - I don't have to keep clicking individual clips and changing the settings to fit a particular theme I have in mind! I can just do it all at once. I'm not sure yet if there would be a time for me to use the Aces 1.0 feature, but I still thought that was pretty cool! My family owns a few cameras that vary from each other so if ever a time comes where I need to show multiple angles for a video, I can easily edit them to look similar in quality and contrast! That's pretty nice! Lastly, It was always a possible thought that I might make Sims 2 gameplays seeing as I am expecting a microphone to come in soon. Hence, the picture in picture effect, which I agree makes it so much easier to overlay the videos, would come in handy! And for me just hopping into that field, I could easily handle that whole situation. I learned a lot from the video so thanks! It'd be a blast to win Vegas Pro 15! I enjoy editing, it's always been a favorite pastime of mine! :D It combines my favorite things together - singing, filming, etc.!

Hey Guys, I LOVE Sony Vegas because it is very helpful to use. I love how they have updated a lot of great things. Like from customization to the picture in picture cause that was a drag before lol. as well as the effect features. As an aspiring Film making student it is hard to afford this program. I usually have to use a 30 day free trial and then wait after that. It would be a great help to have this to help with my Video Assignments. But if i don't win i still wish everyone the best of luck. Also props to you for giving this expensive program. Been a fan since early 2014 so i hope you continue to upload a lot of great content. Much Love

But my favourite is picture in picture mode, now it's a lot easier to use that feature. Vegas Pro 15 is so practical to use, It would be of great use to me.

Hey guys, Thanks for taking time to review V15, it was a good overview. The more intuitive interface for cropping and PIP is a welcome addition. I'm also exited about the rendering speed improvements. The LUT feature isn't a huge thing to me but I'm looking for the day when they will dad LUTs for the external monitoring so we have better accuracy for color grading. (Magix told me that was on the table over a year ago...) I'm kinda "meh" about the interface changes except for the ability to customize to buttons that show up in clips and tracks! Making freeze frame (clip velocity envelope) automated was a logical change, as well as the attribute paste control!

First of all thanks for this opportunity!
Now let's get to the real deal, there are a lot of features that I really like in the new version of Vegas Pro.
The new UI of it is soo cool and it's user-friendly, the new modes especially the dark mode gives you a sleek feeling. Been using the 11.0 for my pc since vegas eats up the ram like a monster not to mention that I got it for umm..i...nvm xD. So the new improvement for its hardware acceleration will definitely help me with my problem. I'm currently using vegas for my school works, last time I used the picture and picture and the 2nd old way was the method I used xD, it's really hard to crop the frame and it really is confusing haha. With the new ofx plugin and crop ofx plugin, it makes everything easier and without hassle. The new instant freeze frame will help me in focusing and give emphasis like showing who is this character then put some text below or somewhat like that. The built-in social media uploading feature can help me in uploading my work to my facebook and youtube account without hassle like rendering then dragging and dropping it to the uploader. The new LUT OFX plug-in is helpful for those who have professional cameras, unfortunately, I only have a sony digi cam but soon I'll be able to have one of those so I can use it with this plugin. The new selectively paste event attributes is useful for me in duplicating some of the effects without having the trouble to delete the stuff that I don't want. Definitely never heard of this aces 1.0 for vegas but I am sure it can help me balance my clips, especially if my camera is low-bat I use my friends' camera which results to the clips getting unbalanced. Hopefully, I'll win this giveaway so I can have the "legit" version of vegas pro and so I can enhance my video editing skills. Especially that my school's intramurals are about to start and I have to edit a teaser for my team haha xD. Cheers and more power to you TeraBrite.

I guess that the fact you can drag the screens to where you want would be handy for those with multiple monitors to drag some of them onto separate screens so you can take advantage of a multi-screen computer layout. Move the preview window to a separate monitor and make it full screen etc. I bought a faulty monitor for a couple of bucks as it had a vesa style monitor mount on it that can swivel 90 degrees that I put on my second monitor in place of its own monitor stand and for doing certain things I rotate it to portrait mode and swap the screen setting in the preferences to portrait mode by rotating the screen 90 degrees. Portrait mode is better when you are editing publisher or word files than landscape.
