@@anusharma-xb4ny me? I'm doing very well I cried when I went to my post OP surgery appointment because I was so happy and felt so good! My Dr said it's common occurrence after feeling so awful. I feel like I'm 20 yrs old again but I am in my mid 40's. I wish I would have done the surgery earlier but it's okay I gave the meds and went on a gluten free diet a try took tons of vitamins which I believed did help. I also still am still taking the Lugol's Iodine they tell you to take prior to surgery and they say it helps your body w/ any Hypothyroidism symptoms which now I am supposed to have like weight gain which I have not gained weight, but I am very active and eat very healthy normally and weight was never a problem for me prior but I will let you know if I do notice any weight gain. My Thyroid eye disease has improved as well, which it was not awful and my eye Dr was very impressed how there is hardly any inflammation I was also taking the Lutein 20 mg with Zeaxanthin eye vitamins and selenium drops daily. My eye Dr told me she could tell they make difference and to keep taking them. really good changes are my hair has stopped falling out and I have my menstrual cycles back a bright red normal color and regular. I just want to end this by saying I went to 4 different endocrinologists until I found a good one!!! and My main concern was these so-called Doctors wanted me to have RAI which would only make my eye disease worse not to mention the cancer-causing radiative iodine that has been banned in most parts of the world like Europe for graves disease patents. I kept reminding them this fact and some truly did not care so I would tell anyone with graves disease to not get the RAI procedure, prevent it at all cause!!! We must do our own research and become our own advocates! I also will only do a yearly ultrasound no mammograms! EVERY WOMEN SHOULD LOOK INTO THE DANGERS OF MAMMOGRAMS and JUST GET AN ULTRASOUND Some people actually develop graves from over exposure to radiation so I will avoid radiation as much as possible.

Thank you for your video's on your thyroidectomy. You've answered several of my questions. Congratulations on your bundle of joy! December 1st, I go in to have my thyroid removed as well. I presently have hyperthyroidism, with multinodular toxic adenoma. I have 2 hypernodules on right gland and 2 to 3 questionable nodules on my left gland. I've had biopsies on the left nodules, results were none cancer. Several of the nodules are pressing on my esophogus causing choking at times. I have all the same symptoms you've gone through. I'm so looking forward to having my thyroid removed so I can have a better quality of life.

We love Dogs 1 second ago I was not diagnosed with graves, but I had virtually the same symptoms you described prior to your surgery. I’ve also had a really bad issue with tachycardia. I’ve been seen by two top cardiologist, and one that is a heart rhythm specialist, and they’ve determined that my thyroid is the culprit of these issues versus a cardiac problem one of my questions to you is where your TSH T3 T4 levels off prior to surgery because that’s the only thing that keeps coming back to normal on me despite how bad my thyroid is and the problems I’m having. My thyroid is in terrible shape with multiple nodules in a very large goiter, and it always feels like something is compressing my throat and I have a hard time swallowing things unless they’re really little. I have to constantly drink because it feels like my throat is just not right, but I just wondered about your lab work prior to surgery. I’m terrified of the OR. I’ve always been that way. It took me five years to get my gallbladder out but this time I’m pushing forward and having this done right away. One of my challenges as I was diagnosed several years ago with secondary progressive MS so I already feel pretty Credi on a regular basis and deal with horrible fatigue. I just hope that having my thyroid removed doesn’t exacerbate the MS. I hate the idea of the breathing tube and anything like that but I know that it Hass to be done. I’m hoping I don’t have to have a catheter that will probably send me over the edge.LOL When I had my gallbladder surgery, it was laparoscopic, and a few hours later I already dressed my own self and got ready to be discharged. It was pretty hilarious, but everything went great on that surgery and I realized I didn’t know how sick I was until that bad gallbladder was out of me and I’m hoping the same with my thyroid. My nodule is 3.8 cm and doctor said removing the whole thyroid might seem better but it’s up to surgeon I’m scared I don’t want to rely on pills for the rest of my life

Thank you so much for your valuable information. I have lymph node on right side thyroid gland and it was Benign. While eating food I feel something is sticking and stucking feel so I planned to do surgery by next month. I have an doubt where they will give anaesthesia? After your surgery how your throat feels in the time swallowing food or tablets?
Your throat will be a little sore from the tube they put down your throat to help you breathe during surgery. I preferred soft foods for a few days after surgery, like oatmeal, eggs, pudding. Sucking on ice chips helps very much, and throat lozenges too. It will go away after a few days. I had to cut some of my pills in half also for the first week to swallow them easier. The pain is worse right after surgery and gets better very fast. Good luck to you!!

I learned today I will have to remove my thyroid after Grave’s disease and no improvement/stabilisation so far… I am so weak with everything related with surgery, blood things… even after so many blood tests I’m still feeling weak at each of them so having such a wound on my neck the first weeks … 😱 my actual dream is to have a baby so seeing this news motivates me ! I hope after surgery I will finally be able to become pregnant ! 🤰 I wonder how many times after surgery it is possible and healthy to have a baby. oh my goodness! So exciting for you that you hope to become pregnant. We became pregnant about 10 months after surgery but were told it might take about 6 months for your hormones to all stabilize.

Congratulations to you dear 💕and god bless to your baby💕… I had Thyroid surgery last week recovery in process , your scar is not visible please suggest how to remove scar.
Use sunscreen! Prevention is key. Sunscreen on your scar whenever you will be outside (or inside near windows), and rub vitamin E oil on it once a day starting a few weeks after surgery. I hope this helps!
Good question! Wait until your steri-strips/bandages are off and your incision has healed, at least 6 weeks. Until then you can protect it with a scarf if you plan to be in the sun!
Your hair will likely change as you adjust your meds, but after the first 6 months post surgery everything gets back to normal! I have had no more problems 2+ years out from surgery.

Thanks so much! Yes, I was offered this. However, I opted for the fastest treatment possible in order to try to get pregnant as soon as possible!
Radioactive has lots of side effects.. Surgery is best.

Don't worry your hair will come. Do a pure coconut oil sculpture massage. It will grow. Best wishes

Yes, I had a full thyroid removal. With Graves disease, the thyroid would just keep growing back, so this was my only option.

It took about 10-11 months to get my TSH "normal", my medication dosing just right and to get pregnant.
