It's really cool to see the bike and Rider not looking over the handlebars the hole time it really gives a good perspective on how the bike rides thanks 👍

Its nice to know the KLX is WAY more capable than anything I might consider throwing at it.

My best tool for going down steep decents, is just start rolling down and leave the clutch out in 1st gear. Easiest way to control the bike, the engine braking wont lock the rear but is enough drag to limit it about 8mph letting u focus on your line. U can work in the front brake a little whenever but u never need it if u dont touch the throttle.

Kinda reminded me of the Road Runner cartoons when poor ol' Wiley would smash into the side of a cliff with a tunnel opening painted on it , you just went down a cliff with a trail painted on it ! You one bad hombre !

As someone with lots of miles on his KLX and a more ADV style rig, I started like this. ..First, I got rid of the stock tires, almost immediately. Even if you are a cheap guy like me, do away with them before they are done. Just do it. Next, foot pegs, larger ones, I use the ones from Amazon but IMS makes them as well if your wallet is deeper than mine. Handgaurds are next, and I highly recommend if you are over 5'10" like me I would get some risers, I think I have 3/4" risers and it makes standing or sitting more easy on the shoulders, loosening the geometry and making control a bit more easy. Good to see a KLX out there on the trails dude!

I just found your channel. I just bought a KLX300 in May. It’s my other bike is a Harley Pan America.
I was wondering where you are riding, I live in North Idaho and the terrain looks similar. I don’t think I could have handled that downhill at all, glad you made it

Did you try 2nd gear and using rear brake for the steep down hills? Keeping tires spinning and controlled rear skids. You can also pull in clutch briefly and dump it while on the gas to get the rpm’s up for climb. Works if caught off guard at bottom of climb or mid climb if you start bogging down. Great videos!

I know that cameras often make things look less steep than they are. If that’s the case here, I can’t believe you went down this stuff because it looks ridiculous on video. Giant nope for me. Glad you made it out without injury.

Where are you riding? Looks amazing! Even on camera it looks challenging for a dual sport. I been riding dual sport bikes for about 10 years and climbing up those hills still are scary for me. So good job getting up those steep parts and going through the rock gardens.

@@makmoto0606klx300 owner here. We have a bunch of chunk in Nevada, I leave it in 1st and supplement with a little back brake😊. Lean back a bit and the tire will bite pretty good. Working the clutch is more unstable for me.
