- The British National Cyclocross Championship weekend is upon us and I will be stepping on the start line with the best cyclocross riders in the country to race for the national title at the brilliant venue, Callender Park in Falkirk, Scotland.
The racing was fast and furious and cameron mason was on top form to take the British CX champs stripes.

Imagine it’s 20 years from now, the time and position will be a distant memory but you’ll feel proud of the fact you even got to be on the start line for such a big race.

Giorgio - this has been a really compelling series, and throughout your filming, edits and story telling have been perfect - capturing the hope, the emotions, the progress, set backs and the insane pace and punch needed to compete in these events - let along the Nationals !! And for sure Cameron’s speed and fluid movement was simply jaw dropping. Massive Kudos to you Sir ! And maybe see you at a Criterium …

Combined with your course preview it gave a great feel for both the course and the big day (far better than the pathetic output from BC). Your videos have been really entertaining and a great advert for cyclocross. Thank you.

A pleasure to bump into you after your race. I've talked to the 2 current stars of UK CX, Cam and now yourself ;) You were down after race but you should not feel in at all way down about your performance, at one point even Thomas Mein looked like he was standing still as Cameron put his foot down and gapped him. The joy of CX is that each rider has a battle with their nearest rivals at any point and time (101st verses 102nd in my case sometimes!) and you took your fight up to the big boy level
Good to bump into you as well 🙌 on reflection I can’t be disappointed as the level is so high but we all want to do better… unless you win but I’m yet to ever be in that situation 😂

cam absolutely beasted it, you see him in person and its like hes just constantly sprinting. i was kicked out after the second lap stuffed with cold and had a dodgy hip. (had to get the excuses in)

I think I'm going to start a Rocket fan club. Just kidding, but the Rocket is adorable. Also, don't discount the possibility that machine was riding a battery-powered bike. Probably not, but those at the top are powered by something you aren't.
Yep that must be it… they have engines 😂 will fit one to my bike ready for next season 😂

Well done George. Savage how fast Cam Mason was going. Didn’t see much as I was warming up for V50s but what I did see - wow! Have you a cheer. I loved the course, the venue and the atmosphere. Not sure I’d agree with you about there being no recovery on the course though; it wasn’t like those mud races where you have to do 300w constantly just to move.
He was flying 😅
I think for me the fact that the course was so fast was the reason why there was no rest, you are just on the gas full speed all the time and any downhills are over before you even get a breather 😅
Great effort Giorgio well done, and a great video to boot as well really appreciate all your hard efforts, and really like the way the add the music to up the tempo. Lets just hope the BBC pick up some of your ideas and recruit your team who have a much better idea of how to film a bloody race.

Full on stuff. Racing against (well, doing the same event😂) as the stars is awesome. I got passed by Liam Killeen in a tt years ago when he was top rider, me full aero style, he floated past hands on top of bars , like he was doing potter round the lanes. Different league. Well done mate.
I started with them I can’t say I raced them though 😂 it’s not until you race the best you realise how fast they are!

@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling You should be proud of what you've achieved. To be on the start line with some big hitters and performing admirably, you should be proud. Still think it's nuts to have people cheering you on, it must be such a cool feeling to be in one of the biggest races of the year!
Mega effort that for the big boy race, even just being on the start line is an achievement. Enjoyed following your channel recently, hope there’s some more XC racing coming in Spring. Been using your POVs as motivation on the turbo while I get ready to lunch myself at the back of the field in some mob races this year!

He’s good Mason isn’t he😲 your right he’s special, maybe not Pidcock special but still up there, but George I reckon you got papped just as much as he did, your fan base is growing and well done on your efforts, remember it’s all about the enjoyment👍
Incredible rider and I think having watched pidcock a races this year I think mason might be at the same level as him on a CX bike 🤔 if he got a good start he would be incredible!

Full, full gas. Love it! How would you describe the pace of the front runners? Mason was absolutely flying for the second half of the race. It looked like he kept getting faster as the race progressed.
The pace of the front guys is basically like they are riding on the road, it’s an incredible speed!

@GiorgioCoppolaCycling My father in law converted a trolley/kart like yours; he recovered a crapped motorized golf trolley and mounted the motor/transmission to the kart. The kart is now motorized with big hedgehog wheels.
Will past this on to dad 🙌 I do not want to pull that trolly ever again, it was a 10 minute walk without a trolly 😅😂
