MY FAVOURITE BELGIUM CYCLOCROSS RACE

Following my last video, we're now on to race two of the Belgium Cyclocross tour (December 2022). This race saw me take on an FCWB race in the Namur district. This was a local level race on Christmas Eve, and it was absolutely mega fun!
Full gas from start to finish, just like every other cyclocross race! I had great fun overtaking and moving up through the field, to take my first top 10 in a Belgium Cyclocross race.

My god.. how can u be this relaxed at the start line.. I hit 155bpm in the start box last Wednesday 😬😬 The nerves send me straight into zone 3 😂😂

😂😂 it helps having absolutely no expectations 😂 but you definitely get used to the start line nerves when you race all the time 😅

The risk assessment for that course must be 25 pages long...oh wait it's Belgium. The Commissaires briefing...mind the barriers, the brick walls, the spectators, the frites van, the tunnel , the hairpin after the start, the grannies on the brick wall...have a safe ride😂...up date on the Del-Boy nutritional advice..second out of date gel and another 1st V60+...going for 3 on Friday with another dodgy gel.

😂😂 absolutely no risk assessment for this race and it’s what made it so epic… even if they did do a briefing I would of had no idea what was being said 😬😂

Check your speed running with the bike shouldered so that in the races first or second lap you can determine when to run on the next lap.

🙌 I normally do but we only got chance for 1 practice lap between races… but I should of adapted during the race, I just hate getting off to run normally 😂

I have a full time job 😂 I’m the complete opposite to Wout and van der poel… I have to pay to be there 😂 I did win £25 once though 💸
