The White Road Commander was a series of heavy-duty cab over trucks built by the White Motor Company from 1972 until 1983. After Volvo's takeover the Road Commander received a light facelift and continued to be sold as the White High Cabover.

Great video seeing those old Cab overs. Learned how to drive a 1973 International COE. 318 Detroit 13 speed . Now that engine didn’t make oil it leaked it !!! Lol Thanks for the trip down memory lane fellas. 👍🦆🦆

Unhook the fuel line from the tank and don't suck in water! Another point:It doesn't have the original engine. VT903 was a V8. Can't tell what that engine is without reading the plate.

This old truck has seen some tough times.
I think in part two you just might get this old truck running. Gives the impression it will run regardless of the way it looks.
Somebody could use the engine for parts it whatever depending how it runs.
When you hit the starter it acted like it would run.

That is more than likely a 290 cummins ....the vt903 was a v8 engine ..i drove an international paystar 5000 with a vt903 ....it wasnt a fuel squeezer at all ...😆 but it was a strong puller
Looks like a 250. Do not see a turbo.
@@book1957 early 290's were non turbo my ex's uncle had a 69 autocar that had a 290 non turbo which really sucked that truck was a hard puller it was used to move houses it was backed up by a maxk quadraplex transmission miss a gear start over again

I drove for over 36 years and drove a old war out c o e seams like forever it had a 903 it was a V8 and it was blueish green I never Sean 1 that wasnot a V8 blueishgreen. Wings were poor man air-condition. We had them before refrigerated was available. And the cars came with them still. Chill was optional.

OMG you are acting like you had to much coffee relax one step at a time and that is not a VT903 it looks more like a old 250 there is no turbo on it also a crack in exhaust manifold a VT 903 is a V8 with a turbo and you started one in a IH paystar the house moving truck also postive ground was a thing back in the 70's Hank I know you just a youngen so didn't know Hehe oh and that is way to much oil so don't start it and mix the water and oil together I would stop where you are ,,,,,,,,,,,,,the old road commander has lost it's command
