you guys need to get more compression in the cylinders. it sounds like only a couple have compression and thats why its not starting. if its just rings then try putting some marvels in the cylinders so it can work on releasing those rings so they sit against the cylinder walls and build compression. you can run some real heavy oil in it too. it may have some stuck valves from sitting and thats letting compression escape. you would have to open up the valve cover to see that. great vid guys.
Always nice to see father and son working together. Keep it up, hank, i know they can be stubborn, but wylie will surprise you one day with what hes absorbed i can assure you.
Again, Wiley, ever the optimist, stated it's another 3 minute porta potty video. Well, I went into the porta potty and waited and waited for the rumble and grumble of a diesel engine but to no avail. When I emerged from my self imposed porta potty exile I needed a haircut and my clothes had gone out of style. I've concluded that Wiley measures time in dog years or something. Great video guys..Always enjoy the process even when the equipment doesn't cooperate.
Here we go Guys don't give up, waiting next part of the video 👍 Love to watch videos on your channel There are most of channels but they don't describe as well as you and Weily do God bless you both of you.. And does Weily have a channel? aslo Is he a moter mechanic engineer?
Non turbo it probably has compression Release find that it will spin over alot faster then when you get some heat built up throw it in while it's spinning over
That's supposed to be a 903 but I thought the 903 was A Vee engine ,that looks to be an in-line engine but it's hard to tell from the video. 903 had a bad reputation that motor may have been changed
I watch your channel fairly often, but when I heard a thing from gentry and son's trucking I was unable to remember you. I will also leave them a message. They are looking for the trucks you deal with and they don't have to run for them. Tim gentry prefers it running but he and his crew also work on them
I don't understand why when people go out of business they keep the trucks and dozers they had and let it rot out in a field. seems like you would sell them before there worthless. you cant eat them or get any worth from them when they rot out so bad there is not parts worth buying.
Good news is you've resurrected a bunch of Cummins just have to go back and go to the drawing board and do the same things as always. Biggest problem usually is the pump getting them started. Especially on the old small cam cummins
Bruce Wilson has found a graveyard of trucks One of them looks ike a bullnose Kenworth Why don't you and Wiley go and check it out and do a history lesson on it Tell us subscribers about the history of it/them,in other words when they were produced, why they were produced, what engines were fitted to them etcetera
You'll need more juice 🥤 brother's and try to bleed the fuel ⛽ lines brother's you'll had it guy's God bless you'll Wally and Hank the tag team 🙏🙏🐓you need the rooster to crow early in the morning brother's.
It’ll fire right up with super (HOT) batteries. I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t carry at least a 200 amp or 450amp battery changer on your new rig truck. You always saying work smarter not harder ??

That engine is an 855 Cummins. The original engine was a V8 903 cubic inch 👍
Good Morning Gentleman, have a great day today! 😊

Hank and Wiley appreciate you guys. You guys almost got it running. She's probably tired and doesn't want to be woke up. Thanks for sharing, buddy 👍
Thank you sir!

God bless you both of you..
And does Weily have a channel?
aslo Is he a moter mechanic engineer?
Haven't seen one of those Road Commodes in years. I remember when those were new
Essa dupla e de mais dou muitas risadas juntos com vocês além de verem resgatar essas máquinas lindas.
Thanks!
We appreciate you! Thank you!
You can also call that different diesel fuel fresher fuel than what's in it instead of older setting diesel fuel.
903 is a V8 . that's either a NTC or NH series inline 6 cylinder Cummins .
This is the first will it start I've seen with a naturally aspirated diesel engine. I had actually guess 78-79, but I was close.
Oh heck guys there’s always another day . We need a part three. The ole white wants to !
Check the valve out sound like the are open and God bless y'all
My dad drove a road commander for years for Montgomery ward
Hand crank it.....pencil sharpener. 😂😂😂 Ya'll gave it your best! We appreciate you guys! God bless!
Thanks buddy!
Love the old cabovers especially the International Eagles should try to fire up one those while your there
A VT 903 is a v8 engine with a turbo on it…
Non turbo it probably has compression Release find that it will spin over alot faster then when you get some heat built up throw it in while it's spinning over
That Cummins motor there has probably got a compression release on it you have to open while u crank it
funny watching Wiley turning fuel filter on the wrong way with strap ,righty tighty lefty loosey
Hank wire starter 24 volt it will spin faster
Boa noite muito ótimo esse caminhão maravilhoso amigo
I would make a third video for this truck because it sounded like it was going to start up at one point
Oh wow, i'm early to the video. 🙌🙌🙌
Holy crap, Wiley is a spritely old fella for 80!
Giver 24 volts boys and get her to crank at a higher speed shell start
A cliffhanger
I can watch you guys work on something in a video and l can just smell the diesel and either lol
0:27 : I think I followed Wiley's advice, and i stayed the whole vid on the pooper 🙈
Try and get some booster cables on her!! Spinning over quicker might just make her go
Right time left loose on filter
Sounds like one cylinder is working. Valves are stuck open
You fellas gave it a good try. Does Wiley really steal your tools 😂
Yes. Yes he does.
Good
☹️🏴🇬🇧
Pretty good try.. wish she would've popped off.. sent some smoke signals at least.. great job👍
If you had enough juice it would start it’s given off good smoke
A 903 is a V8 Cummins
Hank, were you statoined at patrick A F B?
need jumper wires with clips
That's supposed to be a 903 but I thought the 903 was A Vee engine ,that looks to be an in-line engine but it's hard to tell from the video. 903 had a bad reputation that motor may have been changed
A 903 is a V8 motor, that is a 855 ci probably a 290 or a 335
Now Wiley, how many times do us Aussies have to tell you.. it's not where is the crescent wrench it's where is the shifter..😅
Any way the channel is awesome 😎 to watch you'll guy's keep up the good work 💯.
Sounds Like Some Of The Valves Are Hung Open
Taking a dump? I asked the same question over the years. Now I just say I'm going to make a deposit.
That's a 220 cummins,back drop manifold . That cabover is pre 70 atleast.
Seems like it's close. Maybe bleed the injectors?
903 Cummins is a V8.
Wild e coyote and Hank are trying to be starting something
or perhaps not...
get those batteries in series boys, 24v down it's neck will spin her a lot faster
He he. Wily use that knife like my dad. He said to a knife salesman he needs a knife that can cut anything up to fence wire. He he. Miss the old man.
What kind of knife do you carry Hank.
Here lately it's been a Kershaw
Go ahead and hit it with 24 V. It will start. part 3!!
I watch your channel fairly often, but when I heard a thing from gentry and son's trucking I was unable to remember you. I will also leave them a message. They are looking for the trucks you deal with and they don't have to run for them. Tim gentry prefers it running but he and his crew also work on them
Yall need to get a pair of filter plyers. They adjust and work great lot better then the old filter wrenches.
Now i'm waiting on part 3 😞 lol 🙂
maybe turn the filter in the right direction!!!!!
That old engine is tight, either it reddened or ran a bearing.
Crusty and Rusty and the White truck don't look much better either !!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
GO TO THE NEXT ONE
lol i give folks a hard time when there like im gona take (whatever there doin) lol
It’s a 1973 hank
Nice attempt.
Try silicone it works way better than ethier
Can't be a 903. A 903 was a v6
😂
a 903 was a v8 ,it's a 290
I don't understand why when people go out of business they keep the trucks and dozers they had and let it rot out in a field. seems like you would sell them before there worthless. you cant eat them or get any worth from them when they rot out so bad there is not parts worth buying.

Good news is you've resurrected a bunch of Cummins just have to go back and go to the drawing board and do the same things as always.

Not a903 .903 is a v8.

I've done history lesson type videos and they perform horrible so I don't do them anymore.
you tried..lol
Saya mau jadi pembantu mekanik
