Timber rattler it’s protected in a lot of southern states. First big diamondback I killed, I drug it up to the church house that evening, and told mom I’d like Skin if when we got home. Mom had that thing unzipped skined & fried in no time! She came from the depression! Got to eat. Miss her.

When I was younger I spent a lot of time in the mountains of central Idaho. I ate a few rattlesnakes. And I must say it never did much for me. It just tastes like what ever you coated it in.
When I was younger growing up in Florida we went rattlesnake hunting every summer . Fried , smoked and barbecued it was delicious . Taste like chicken 🤤 .
Oh this is stinkin cute. She is one of the best things to happen to you in a long time and I hope she is here for the long haul. Its a whole different video everytime shes with you. You are way more relaxed. I may have to make and try out that dip she made though.
I can never forget this! worked with a man 30 years ago he got bit in the muscle he had arms big as a house he turned 50 different colors he got his knife out and his lighter sterilized the knife slit them marks got the poison out took his hanky tied it up by this time that arm was swelled all up he looked at us and said this is going to hurt them stretched his arm straight out let out a big warhoop and continued his work never went to doctor or nobody else I talked to him last week about the day he got bit he said oh! that's happened more than once 75 years of age and never ever got checked out from that bite! on one of Hannah's videos she found one and said she took it to her grandfather he eats anything I believe that was her exact words. Jeff, Paige, you two enjoy your meal and thanks for the video! Paige, how about a video thank you!💪👀👍✌️
I've got timber rattlers (cane break rattlers other places I hear) on my place in northeast Texas. They come in and out of being a protected species here 'cause it's close to the edge of their range. I have one on my place named "Sergeant Major" because I'd never seen so many chevrons.🤠
I've cooked and eaten just about every critter from the woods, lakes and rivers but I have to draw the line at roadkill rattler unless I killed it myself on the road. That did look good but we usually have crappy and catfish with red beans and taters to go with it. Love your channel
Thank you both for the video and snake is good especially when it's fried also good choice on a seasoning Old Bay, pepper, cayenne, smoked paprika, onion and garlic powders works in a pinch as well. I think it's a funny stereotype that Canadians always will put maple syrup on a lot of things 🤣🤣🤣
Dude.... I'm loving your channel. I think we might actually be kinda like neighbors. When I was younger, I played in a country/rock band... we used to play at the "rattlesnake rodeo" (here in our little corner of south Alabama) every year. I'm kinda like Grandpa though... I ain't eating no frikkin snake.
Hello:) she thought it would be fishy lol how sweet:) it does kinda look fish in the bowl , I understand:) awesome video! :) thanks for sharing w/ us :) you too are amazing! :)
Looks tasty. We've had rattlesnake jerky in New Mexico. It was good. I understand they now have recipes for python meat in Florida including python jerky.🎉
When in the marines we caught and cooked a rattler over a fire. it was pretty good, but woulda been better had we not used dried creosote wood for the fire and green creosote for the forked sticks. Still better than the C rations.
Not a lot of people will not even try snake if you tell them first (she seemed a little shy about it). After watching yours and Hannah's channel, I know why you cut your own lumber and hunt and fish so much. Your daughter at 5 foot (never discuss a women's weight) can eat more than a pro lineman, you would go broke feeding her. Have a wonderful day.👾
snake skin on archery bows, need lots more for boots, snake leather belts? purse? etc... if it was much bigger like boa constrictor size, maybe archery back quiver?
Paige comes around and Jeff forgets how to talk.😂😂😂
Nice to see the Canadian back again. I all ready see more spring to Jeff's step. Welcome back Paige.

Jeff i dont believe her. She will dip her fork in maple syrup when you're not looking. 😂
I've had diamond back rattler. It reminded me of frog legs more than chicken.
Glad to see y'all doing well and posting more.
🤠👍
You both really compliment each other !
Love Jeff and your way of life. We appreciate you guys ty
Her giggling about snake candles made my day
Roll Tide!

Preciate y'all. That rattler sure did look good all fried up. Paige is going to have to show what she made with that beautiful hide.

Awesome video
entertaining video as always -- great content and as real as it gets -- cheers from Canada!

Great video I gotta try some rattle snake soon
I’ve always wanted to try this
I do believe we are close by each other. There is a Rattlesnake Rodeo to the south of me.
It looks like Paige didn’t really like fried rattlesnake
That snake looks so good! 😂🎉🎉🎉
You’re a lucky man Jeff 🔥

That skin would make a good steering wheel cover!
It's good to eat, had many, you got to keep her Jeff!!
I know a lot of Cajuns that won’t eat a dang snake, but they will eat just about anything else
Dat’s right! Ayeeee!! 😂
Man, this looks delicious!
Rattlesnake is one of my favorites 😋😋
Looks tasty. We've had rattlesnake jerky in New Mexico. It was good. I understand they now have recipes for python meat in Florida including python jerky.🎉

Awesome, Jeff and Paige and don’t tell me it taste like chicken either hell of a good video .
Great video and it really does remind you of chicken.
Nice guys!
I have had rattlesnake three times pretty good, I would try dipping it in maple syrup.
Y'all are too cute! I'm happy for you both!!
Need Colonel Sanders 11 herbs and Spices 😂😂😂😂
Have you ever been to the Rattlesnake festival down your way? Looks great! That skin will make a great belt! Have a good one!!
Love The Taste of Rattlesnake!
Only if I was starving..otherwise aint no way....but total respect for y'all
I've never eaten snake before, but it looks delicious so I'm gonna have to try some.
No way Jeff!! I got bit when I was 13 !!!
I have always wanted to try rattle snake 🐍
Yum yum ty

I kinda want to try some with maple syrup.
If you add 2tbs of milk to your egg, it homogenizes and makes a wash where that seasoning is better homogenized lol.

Fried rattlesnake and cheese grits are the best😁
Know that looks delicious 😋
Tell Gary baron up in Cherokee county I said hello black widow
❤
Still use eggs but if you add the seasoning to the flour instead of the eggs it mixes better and evenly.
I first thought his daughter was his girlfriend. Apparently I just guessed the wrong daughter lol
snake skin on archery bows, need lots more for boots, snake leather belts? purse? etc... if it was much bigger like boa constrictor size, maybe archery back quiver?
Jeff do you have a cook book yet??
Now all you need is some okra in dat skillet Jeff! Nothing better with chicken than okra! 😅
Maybe some maple syrup 😂
Heck Yeah!!!👍
I was always told the way to tell when rattle snake is done frying is when it stops rattlin lol.
Snake and waffles. Then the maple syrup would definitely work.
yum
The experience I had with fried snake, it got bigger in my mouth ,the more I chew.😂
Love me some rattler!
Come on up to Northeast Mississippi near Tupelo, Ms. We will have a Old-Time UP HERE!!!
It cooks fast, just like fish.
Sure looks good
That snake looks yummy
Paige didn't eat much of her snake, lol!
Jeff looks like an expert at frog gigging You can have fun times taking someone snipe hunting while you sit around and barbecue
Wonder if fried rattle snake and waffles would be like chicken and waffles 🤔, might be worth a try. Then the maple syrup would fit right in.
Heck yes.
🏆🏆🏆
Just wondering if she'd ever heard of geechie's or gullas
That’s what I give all my girlfriends on the first date.
Is that the same snake Hannah found while walking the dogs?
Did they clean it tho? 😮
💖🎉🎉🎉
