    I hope you keep making Videos Dr Omodei. I just sub'd and I will watching you older videos, too. Hopefully they can help me get over one of my design issues. I'm planning on doing it without a pump, so stumping the flow to my reservoir when it fills is my current hold up.

    That's a great idea with the vinyl tubing to check water pressure down the line.

    Won’t the green evaporator box with water be good breeding ground for mosquitoes? How do you control them?

    Excellent guide. What would you say is the practical limit for area that could be irrigated by this method? Might it manage say a half-acre or more? Is there a real limit?

      I bought some needles. But can't find the connectors to connect the needles to the tubing. The stuff from rainbird doesn't fit in the needles. Where can i get the connectors?

    Thax so much for the information . I would like to ask if gravity can be used for sprinkler irrigation ? If yes can u please help me on how many meters can it be raised from the ground

    • @DrBernieOmodei
      @DrBernieOmodei  6 лет назад

      You will need to use special gravity feed sprinklers. I am aware of two such products, the Wobble Tee Sprinkler and the Lo-Flo Sprinkler.

    Hello Dr Omodei we are building a garden that is about 100 " in length and would like to use drip irrigation supplied from a rain barrel. Will your system work for a garden that is of this size? with a garden that is 100" in length do I need to have the rain water tank elevated to ensure water pressure?

    • @DrBernieOmodei
      @DrBernieOmodei  7 лет назад +2

      For a garden of this length it is advisable to elevate the tank. To reduce frictional head loss you my wish to use 1 inch poly pipe.

    water seeks it's own level and it seeks the shape of it's container come on people don't you get it we do not need pumps we need pipelines and a high source why are these people so ignorant

    • @DrBernieOmodei
      @DrBernieOmodei  5 лет назад +5

      The companies selling pumps and pressurised irrigation supplies have a vested interest in keeping people ignorant in relation to gravity feed irrigation. Did you know the Netafim does not sell gravity feed irrigation systems in Australia. However they do sell gravity feed systems in Kenya where farmers cannot afford pressurised irrigation.

    Hi Luc. My more recent videos and the Measured Irrigation website have a lot or recent developments for irrigating from a rainwater tank.
