Since vultures spawn if your flying exclusively, try putting a Gyrocopter inside a hoard base with lots of gun turrets on the roof. Call it the bird blender base. :)
if the gyro is inside the base, can it actually be considered flying? do the vultures spawn when you're parked? or exclusive to flying? inquiring minds want to know
They spawn even for ground vehicles, could be done with a bicycle or minibike. Not sure on every aspect of what that mechanic does though.

instead of single blocks for your pillars use the corner pillers/pole. you can rotate them so 4 can make a 2x2 square then put your runway on that. this way it gives you 4x the support. Also less surface area they can get caught on, on the way to your stairs You would have to lose all four to lose stability. the only thing you really lose is the 'buffer' plate. either way you still should be fine
I think the zeds can path up to around 2000 blocks. But, I think the path has to start near your position (at least on the horizontal plane). You should be able to make this base work as intended with a small change (as you described). I think Cautions Pancake has a vid on this mechanic (using two impractically large towers). Entertaining as always.
I gotta see if they have a 1/4 plate or 2x4 type shape. That fighting position might’ve just gave me a good idea. Thanks, Mr. Iz
21 blocks is the distance darts from dart traps travel and according to josh the magic number for negating destroy everything is 11 blocks but I'm keen to see if your way works too

If you armor the sides of the ramp at the bottom... with catwalk triangles... they dont see that as a pathable block, so they go around to the bottom of the ramp

Could just add a ramp starting much closer to you but goes up and away before connecting to one or two loops closer on the snake.

I am a self-admitted noob, so far all of my "testing" has been on creative/dev mode in addition to I really truly have not progressed FAR into the game just yet
2Q's if you don't mind:
1: could you use ladders at the base of your ramp instead of the angled blocks (5:25) my idea was to use it on other parts as well mainly to prevent the issue you said at 24:10 about them eventually breaking a pilar, I was also thinking about with addition of
2: instead the pillars every so many blocks, could you make one continuous WALL. besides the exorbitantly high cost of that many blocks I was thinking of making redundancy for my redundancy blocks. And yes, I know it would be HORRIBLY costly. I was just thinking of even MOAR base stability.
Also for your emergany evec situation I was thinking of making a target shape made of hay bales instead of just a single ladder, which yours broke @ 27:00 that cost you 40ish health.
do you think this concept would work better with more of a corkscrew sort of formation. Where at the center is your fighting position.
In your next 7d2d game, it'd be cool to see some of the better POI mods out there like the Navezgane Regional Airport by AH64Jimbo or the Voltralux Casino and Central Station by Voltralux.
loop it so the fighting platform is closer to the ramp up. That should solve the pathing.

hiya Iz, yep, too long. as far as the cops spitting, i have been testing ways to stop the cops from seeing me until they are on the path. i am using "SHEETS" on those pillars to block there line of sight and they show promise.
i thought that the height to stop berserk was 14? i found that using a pond (big puddle) to build the path over works nice and you can extend the puddle/pond to your shape needs.
I wonder if anyone has done test on just how far on horde night they can build away and still work.
Had to take a break from 7d2d, starting at the middle of this series. Let's see what new squirrelly stuff the fun pimps have done to drive him insane.

This is your just your 300th mile. You've been doing this long enough, competently enough, to make a major mistake. Like muting your mic, or forgetting that bases have an entrance range you must adhere to.

@@sharmageddon2171 if the zombie's 'entrance' to your base is outside a specific range, they will always ignore the entrance and attack your base's foundations instead.
