You may want to try some Kroil Penetrant for rusted/stuck bolts and nuts, this is the best stuff that I have ever used.

  • @Justusrabbits

Im a big proponent of cursing violently at stuck bolts and bashing my knuckles on sharp corners. 60% of the time it works every time.

  • @craigsmith8217

Heating bolts works because the hot metal expands. With no place to go, it elongates, compresses, or stretches the parent metal. As it cools, it is smaller than the original diameter. Let them cool as much as practical.

  • @bobblundell2281

The little coils you use for that tool are small induction coil and to work properly they need a gap around the part, the more times you heat the steel it changes the property of the steel especially when you add the penetrant oil . we use to use induction coil on a larger scale but still work on the same principal. Heating the frame more may have worked better, we only heated bolt heads if lock tight was applied.

  • @darrendaines5244

the ductive heater is designed for nuts stuck on threads not bolts stuck in threaded hole, for bolts stuck in threaded hole i heat the metal around the bolt then cool just the bolt , normally works

Please, please, PLEASE take care of those knees boss man!!! I'm 58 and beat on my knees like you do, and I've been told I needed both knees replaced back in 2010!!! I lost 60 lbs which helped but now I'm at the point that I've gotta get them done... Please lose some weight and TAKE CARE OF THOSE KNEES!!! Don't mean to nag, but having bad knees really sucks!!! ALWAYS enjoy your videos 🙂

I have been shopping at Harborfreight for over 20 years and when I was a mechanic for Bobcat, I priced three angle wrenches for hydraulic fittings with Snapon, and they were $300.00. I purchased the Harborfreight complete set for $39.00 I have them to this day!

  • @rayhewitt4688

I can see you was getting a little pissed anytime that happens back off for 15 minutes cool down and try it again

  • @stevefowler244

Whenever I'm rolling around in the dirt and sticker burrs splitting sockets, bending wrenches, and just taking a general butt whipping I always wonder how much it would cost just to get those RUclips guys in India and Pakistan to come over with 18 guys in sandals with their homemade tools, sledge hammers, and 20 foot cheater bars and just fix this damned old heavy iron. Thumbs up. Always!

  • @mischef18

Never a dull moment with you guys when it comes to repairing heavy equipment bro. Defiantly made for great viewing. Safe travels. Ken.

  • @Stealth86651

It's cool seeing how the vehicles are actually worked on after driving them for so long. Always appreciated the mechanics, they have the ability to keep your job

  • @prinzeugenvansovoyen732

These induction coils are usually only used in places where a open flame is bad, like hydraulic hose fittings, injection lines and fuel line screws, nothing replaces the oxy gas torch except maybe the oxy lance

Always such a joy working on heavy equipment.

  • @mileswagner2679

Nice to have the truth about tool replacement from Harbor Freight! And your videos are always interesting. Sometimes your frustration is obvious but you also adapt, improvise, and overcome!!!

  • @genesimons8368

You all are definitely good at your chosen line of work. I do enjoy watching your troubleshooting abilities!

  • @johnkowitz9333

If you have a bolt that is stuck , you can easily remove it by heating it red hot then quince it with water until it’s cold . It will come out very easily , works every time . I have used that trick for 30 years. You keep up the great work.

  • @whathasxgottodowithit3919.

Those fasteners can be a real challenge when working on the big iron, the metal is so big it is a big heat sink. Thank you for posting.

  • @johnsmart3587

You guys and your work is mesmerizing....keep watching, watching. Thanks. Another FIRE TRUCK!.....

  • @raycollington4310

I was waiting for the jig, angle drill and tap to appear. A great example of just how a simple job, is anything but. Thanks Clinton.😊
