Story Time!!! You wake up from your massage chair and it's after closing. You go to the nearest exit, but its locked and a rolled metal protection fence is down. You try to find a security guard, but it looks like there's no security guard in sight. Oddly, you walk through the mall casually while listening to the 80s music playing on the speakers, but you suddenly feel that you're NOT the only one alone here. You get a bit peckish and check out the food court if there are snacks. Luckily, someone didn't lock up a Snack Shop. So, you then grab a few Granola Bars and a Cola. However, you hear from a distance a garbage can fall over. Spooked by the sound, you carefully speed walk to the security desk. There, you try to get your mind off of it by eating a Granola Bar and thought it was some sort of animal that got in. Suddenly, you hear steps coming closer. It sounds like it's limping or dragging something on the ground. You then grab a flashlight and a stick just in case. As the sound approaches closer, you make a quiet escape to avoid being detected. You then get a sudden feeling that it's getting cold and the temperature continues to drop. You approach the nearest cloth shop by going through a small vent in a wall. As you go through the vent, all of the clothes seemed to be summer style (which you remind yourself that it's unusual because it's late September). Once you make it towards the back of the department store to where the Winter Gear is, you start to notice a bunch of mannequins that look too realistic. Then, the temp drops immediately and try to put on the gear. You feel that your feet had started to become numb and stiff. You notice that your legs and hands are turning white! You try to run, but you toppled over. You hear the thing that has been chasing you getting closer, and it sees you! You try to move, but your body is all frozen. You see the thing and what it looks to be like a faceless, old and mangled mannequin with joints while an arm is barely hanging on a wire. It's left leg looks like the padding is ripped off that you can easily see it's twisted wires inside. The thing pulls you towards a secret door behind a wall. It grabs another mannequin off a podium and throws it with the other broken ones that people broke or by accidents. The thing then bolt you on a podium and dresses you with the trending clothes. Finally, as you once again see the the thing for the last time, it climbs up in the vents, awaiting for its next sleepy victim. As time passes, the mall then became bankrupt to where it became abandoned. You stay motionless to what it feels like forever, until you were transported to a waste site. You close your eyes and drift away as you await your fate. BOOM! You wake up from your massage chair again, and noticed that you were asleep the entire time! You check your watch and the time is 8 : 47 am. A security guard asked you why are you here. However, the security guard got freaked out and ran. You try to talk, but you feel your mouth...IT'S MISSING! The End
I hope the fnaf movies bring this kind of aesthetic back. I can imagine a scene in which someone is chased by one of the anamictronics through this place
You should come visit Marion, Ohio we got digital billboards that look like Back to the Future honestly close enough and we still got some buildings that are active from the 80s still in business the old theatre we got is definitely 80s.
This was the South Hills Mall in Poughkeepsie New York. Had a lot of great memories there.. The store to the left was a GameStop movie theater had the worst movies but best prices around.
Grew up in the area too. Couldn't beat the South Hills 2 dollar tickets and 1 dollar Tuesdays. Pretty sure they just bought the film reels off the Galleria after they were done with them, so the movies were always a few months out of date, but that never mattered to me growing up. I still got to spend a lot of time with my dad there
@@TheKillerStove Sucks all these memories are getting demolished around the country. I’m happy people have videos and pictures of this mall. Wish I took some.. never thought it would disappear.. Guess all we got now is our memories bro.
@@BenChod3 For sure man. I've got a ton of fond memories of the place, but I never thought to take any pictures. Even when the mall was basically a glorified walkway between the movie theater and the K-Mart, I just kinda assumed it would stay that way until one of the two shut down. It was a real shock when they put up that wall by the theater cutting off the rest of the mall for demolition.
Funny…the memories associated with these songs from back in the day.. I can remember the 80’s, I was in my prime..ide visit friends/family, back east, (I’m from California)..and many times ide fly alone, there was something special, being on a non stop red eye from Ny to Ca, on an all but abandoned 747, listening to this music, all the lights dimmed, sipping a ginger ale at 39,000ft…it’s a feeling hard pressed to duplicate. 🥰🥰🥰
I know it's late now, but I guarantee that pic is from sometime in 2006. I grew up in the area, and that's the year that MediaPlay went out of business, which was shortly after the other stores in the mall started pulling out for locations in the larger Galleria mall down the street. If you want more pics, look up the South Hills Mall in Poughkeepsie NY. It's been torn down and turned into a strip mall, but you should be able to find more pics
The former Livonia and Wonderland malls in metro Detroit had a similar design, both were demolished and now Walmart’s and other big box stores sit in their places.
EW WHY IS THIS CRAZY ACCURATE WHEN ME AND MY MOM GOT LOCKED IN A MALL FOR LIKE AN HOUR TRYING TO BUY SHOES LAST MINUTE FOR SCHOOL 😭 EXCEPT THE SONG ANGEL BY MADONNA PLAYED AND IT WAS SUCH A VIBE THO

So much nostalgia for me, too. I sold CDs, records, cassettes, etc.. at Musicland from 1988 to 1992. This is pretty much spot on. Well done.
holy fuck 😭 means a lot for a gal born in 1999 lmao, thank you very much!! i’m glad i could give you that feeling
I'mma just say this now, this gives me so much nostalgia it's insane
oh wow!! that’s so cool to hear honestly, the 80’s were years before my time so i was really just going off pure vibes here!

That was awesome! When's the book coming out?
@@pete5668 I actually haven't thought of it, and this is a first draft.
Wow nice story!
You ever watch the 80’s movie..mannequin? It’s AWESOME!!
love this storytelling on my video 😎 keep it coming my dude
I wish malls still looked like this, they lack character today
This is giving me nostalgia but I wasnt even born in the 80s
I can definitely relate to this for I worked plenty a night at Spencer Gifts back in the late 90's.
I hope the fnaf movies bring this kind of aesthetic back. I can imagine a scene in which someone is chased by one of the anamictronics through this place
Everything looked more vibrant back then

You should do more of these, with various mall pics, and different songs from the era.

mediaplay started on 1992, the picture could've been in 92 to late 90's

Oingo boingo and depeche mode on the same playlist? Hell yeah!!
I used to work at a mall not too long ago, gotta say I miss the emptyness of the whole place after hours haha
If this is something you find appealing, you really should check out some Mallsoft (a subgenre of Vaporwave) mixes.
I love this!
I would love this music while camera doing a pov walk through the empty mall
Freaking love this ❤️
Ooops...Merry Go Round left their music on overnight.🙈🙉🙊
Know’s your chance to run.
Ok but when i heard head over heels i started dancing
What level of the Backrooms is this?
