A lot of comments showing the love for the era and the nostalgia of that time. But I wanted to just say how sick these vibes are! It’s like listening to new releases in the 80s and the feeling that gives. No music today does that. Thanks for offering this for free.
Watched this series twice from the start. Still watch some random episodes from time to time. Has to be my all-time favorite fictional television series ever. Had the DVD set, met the actor, Edward James Olmos, who played Lt. Martin Castillo in Germany and many other fun stuff! I wasn't born in time to explore the 1980s (born in 1993), but I still vibe out to this kind of stuff! Long live Miami Vice! Greetings to all from Finland.
The 80s were the golden era for a lot of legends in different industries, from music, movies and video games to the computer industry. A lot of legends were born during that era. Edit: The American dream was so real during the 70s and 80s.
1971 Gen X here. The first track reminds me of the opening music for Live and Die in LA. The 70s and 80s were the best times for growing up! Not a worry in the world. We ran free. Having fun was so much better than having status in the world. We were friends with ALL. 🙂🤙🏽
I played this mix at 0.75 speed and it mellowed my whole night. Not that its not already super chill on its own at normal speed, but I always have fun switching up speeds on different mixes and songs to change the vibe.
As a millennial, I feel that your generation is picking up the 80's fashion and behavior: the shorts are shorter (and high-waisted for the females) the hairstyle longer, as well as social media and A.I. combined! It's a repeated history that my parents' generation started, and now Gen Z, and Millennial has picked up. It's nice to have this 80's era trend back.
@@allanmarshall7470 I can't tell you how refreshing and hopeful it is to see guys and girls wearing clothes that actually fit properly again. I thought the 90s and 00s was going to be a point of no return. At its height guys were wearing saggy dresses around their waists with baggy shirts that served as thick curtains just hanging over that, and girls were wearing "hip huggers" that ruined their figures, with tramp stamps just above that. Gen Z has brought me hope again.
There will never be another time like the 1980s. It was truly a time of adventure and passion. It brings tears to my eyes to see so many younger people interested in this decade. I can vividly remember it all…
Adventure and passion? Indiana Jones, High Road to China, Tales of the Gold Monkey ( gotta really be an 80s geek for that!), Romancing the Stone, too many to list...
I remember working at a grocery store, and hurry to get done to rush home and watch Miami Vice. I didn't even realize how cool of a time it was. Well I did a little...
Thanks a LOT for this man. Not only did you really touch my nostalgia for an era that ended before i was born, but also introduced me to the Miami Vice TV series, which I am absolutely LOVING! Thanks!
The 80s were incredible. But how many people remember living as a teen under threat of nuclear war. I lived 40 minutes from a known nuclear target. We were told if something happened we’d get about 25 minutes warning. I’d sit in horticulture and and wonder what I’d do with those 25 minutes. Finally the red headed girl in front of me and I figured out what we’d do. You know what we came up with.

Being born in 95 I missed the 80's. My memory doesnt even start till 2001. I find synthwave nostalgic even though I didn't live through it. I still love the genre. Now that im 29 my adult life is just beginning. Im working at my first job breaking into my field and looking to find a place for my fiancee and I to live after she also graduates in a month. For as boeak as everything is, I find happiness in music, nature, the family im marrying into and the life my wife and I will forge for ourselves.
80's music is absolutely fantastic! The infectious energy, bold synths, and unforgettable melodies make it timeless. Every track from that era carries a unique vibe that’s both nostalgic and electrifying, leaving a lasting impression even today. I can’t help but love it! 🎶💥
Sometimes I feel like I'm an old man, always wanting to live with the most simple and somewhat "old" things. I'm always looking for old songs, old stories, old shops,... life is normal and somewhat slow. Likes to read things that take time to understand.
I was born in the 80s. I clearly remember really enjoying synth wave which was more like a new wave for that time. I was amazed at how everything sounded so good. I wondered how the music was made. I felt so sad when everything moved to grunge, heavy metal and EDM in the 90s. I never knew why at that time and couldn't fathom how such a fascinating genre like synth wave could fade away. Now I make my own synth wave music and I realize, 80s synth wave was truly superior in so many ways and it feels so good that it is back!
C'mon everyone. Let's bring it ALL back!!! If you're in fashion, make the clothes. Music? Make the jams! If you're young, buy a BMX and ride it. Are you in the auto industry? Bring back the body styles we knew and loved! Take time off from the internet and invite friends over. We CAN do this!

I reckon even flares will come back somewhen - we've already had slim, baggy and boot-cut, so they're due.
@@FaceInTheCrowd the 2000s style is over. 80s style is coming back. For cars, sharp body lines and squared edges are coming back. 80s simplicity and sharp designs are coming back for cars. 80s hairstyles are coming back and the music is being played a lot again. I have feathered/layered hair, what most men had back then. For women, more 70s styles are coming back. Bell bottom jeans and 70s feathered hair is coming back for women. I also feel the general attitude is shifting as well towards certain things, people are getting sick of the PC culture. I’ve also noticed companies going back to their old logos. The 2020s is the beginning of a sort of futuristic 80s style.

Good times, but like others have commented, times have changed and not necessarily for the better...

I’m a Gen Z and love 80s synthwave it somehow sounds like the future
As a millennial, I feel that your generation is picking up the 80's fashion and behavior: the shorts are shorter (and high-waisted for the females) the hairstyle longer, as well as social media and A.I. combined! It's a repeated history that my parents' generation started, and now Gen Z, and Millennial has picked up. It's nice to have this 80's era trend back.
It truly does while simultaneously giving you nostalgia. If my channel can even get half as good as this I'd be geeked.

Synthwave and the 80s are a match made in heaven. Nice work my friend

Happier and simpler times...the 80's. We don't know what we're missing and the memories are coming back. Enjoy life while we still can fellas!

When the future is determined, my past fantasies about the future no longer exist, but I don’t want to disappear like this in my heart.
Sometimes I feel like I'm an old man, always wanting to live with the most simple and somewhat "old" things. I'm always looking for old songs, old stories, old shops,... life is normal and somewhat slow. Likes to read things that take time to understand.
I was an 80’s teenager… born in 1970.
And dude…your music is Awesome !
“Floating” is my favorite so far !
Keep it coming.
I could be getting old, or maybe I was too young to go to clubs until the very end but I don't remember the bass having this much punch.
@@gregmurray4169 you’re probably right. These days there are so many DAW plugins like rbass that can add more punch and deeper bass
I agree about how they ruined rock. EDM and computer music actually started in the 80s.

The hair styles on guys, the shoulders on some of the girls dresses or jackets are creeping back and last summer I'm sure there was some scattered interest in the jumper hanging below the shoulder on one side amongst the girls.
Cars are different; I'm not convinced we'll be seeing long cars with wings and suicide doors anytime soon.
Not the uptight bull from the 50s, not the druggie bull from 60s/early 70s... Freedom with just enough self-discipline to have a decade of " optimistic egocentrism" that meant the right balance.

Vietnam to late 70s- anarchy
Late 70s to about 1990- perfect
1990 to now- growing totalitarian again...
