  • This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for nearly 1 week for around $70.
Some of these recipes take a little bit of time so it’s up to you if you’d like to spend a little more for the convenience of some ready-made substitutions.
I highly recommend looking for the least expensive grocery store near you, like Walmart or Aldi. I currently shop at Aldi, as it’s the cheapest option near me, but be sure to compare prices before shopping by using the stores’ app and searching for the products you need.

No matter what store she chose it would not be universally available for everyone. You can Just take the thought processes and techniques and apply them to your situation.

One of the things she has said in her videos is that she searches the website for the ingredients she needs, makes a meal plan and then makes the budget based off the prices.
You may not have the comparable prices at the specific store she shops at but you do have stores with low prices and can do the same research she does to get a similar budget.

Love what you've done. I started making my own bread a year ago. I hardly ever buy bread...
Love your tortilla basic recipe. Will make it with my daughter who loves tortillas.
For those who say that they don't get the prices etc: shop around. I go to two to three places to get food cheaper. And yes, I work, study, take care of my kids and household and am building my own business.
Prices vary. We don't have coupons, we don't have the ridiculous low prices or huge bags of food where I live. Just make it work.

sweet onions (Vadallia) are not like any other onions - they have higher water content - not a good variety to freeze - cook faster - as name implies have a sweeter taste not intense like Spanish onions or some red / yellow onions - that said they are onions and for those of us who can’t eat any other kind they are absolutely wonderful - for years I’ve eaten them (available all year round - Georgia, Peru, Mexico & Texas) as a vegetable - now thanks to cluster migraines I’ve had to drastically reduce my consumption of onions - am using them as flavouring rather than vegetable - can’t imagine ever being without onions again so am so very careful so I can have flavourful food and enjoy sweet onions 🇨🇦🙏

While I applaud you for the budget friendly meals that look yummy I feel like the prices are not attainable for a lot of people. Aldi is not a common store and their prices are not comparable to any place else. I wish you would have done a store more available to people so the price comparison is not so far off because these items would have easily been a hundred dollars or more. I really like what you did with the ingredients though.

My local Walmart has almost identical prices and some things are cheaper there while some things are cheaper at Aldi. Some people have told me their local Kroger is cheaper than my Aldi but our Kroger brand stores are super expensive, so I definitely think it depends on the area. Maybe you could see if your Walmart has similar prices? I know most other stores are so expensive these days
