  • Charles/MGH has to be one of my most favorite stations for many different reasons. For one, it's newly-renovated and shiny with a big glass pavilion. It's odd in that it is the only truly elevated station on the red line in downtown Boston. Perhaps most striking is the view of the Henry W. Longfellow bridge that the trains travel over into Cambridge.

If your wondering why trains are going so slow, its because the tracks have just been redone over the bridge, when the full bridge is finished trains can go up to probably 40+ MPH

You like the propulsion sounds of these trains? Take a listen to the Los Angeles metro red line. The propulsion sound on those are ridiculously good.

I've got a video of some shots at JFK/UMASS if that interests you. It should be up in the next few weeks. School's keeping me busy at the moment.
