Euron philosophy follows the same logic but to a different conclution were he is the center "Godless? Why, Aeron, I am the godliest man ever to raise sail! Finally somebody has said it. I know where Euron's appeal comes from, but I've been rolling my eyes at the indications that he will raise as some eldritch dark deity. As some other characters, he is deluded by prophecies and misinterpreted visions and I have always found quite astute the choice of the series (no matter how bad they were) to tie him with Cersei as, to me, he is male representation of her. They are both grandiose, sadistic, lacking awareness and driven by predictions/dreams they were unable to comprehend. The only reason both of them are powerful and feared are their rich and notorious houses/fathers coupled with lack of empathy, not the fact they are skilled or tallented in anything in particular...They are blanks, athough they see themselves as a nuclear warheads. This is not to diminish their horrible capacity for inflicting pain and misery and destruction, but it is all rather on a basic nepo baby level...
@@CompanyOfTheCat Yup! I think the fans are losing their sight of what Martin's writing is all about at this point, due to the desperate need to finally have some resolution... IMO Martin is someone who writes about imperfect human condition and existence and their capacity for destruction and creation, it just so happens that the setting of this particular story is in a fantasy world with not quite a clear stance about magic and the rules under which this magic operates... I don't think he will rely tooooooo much on magical resolutions in the end... just my opinion. I really like your channel!
I think we will have a somewhat magical resolution, but not in the way many people think tbh. We often dismiss the fact that a big part of the magic in ASOIAF is spiritual, dream, and nature-based. Even though I am a firm believer that this story is not a "light magical" one, we do have magic pretty much everywhere, but not in a flashy way, so it is obvious that stuff like eldritch deities and raising gods isn't the case lol. Glad you like the channel❤️
Euron was definitely exagerrating about his pirate exploits. The idea of a single pirate ship taking on an entire city the size of Braavos or Volantis or Meereen is absurd, even more so since this is a world without gunpowder or cannons
The other weird thing Euron says to Victarion that hints at dreaming of events in other plotlines in the story is his comment in that same passage about crabs in his belly, which is exactly how Hoster Tully describes his pain to Catelyn at Riverrun.
heyy, long time no comment, sorry about that. Loved this, it'd serve Euron right if he thinks he's all that, only to then find out it's Jon all along! Would still suck for all the people he's hurt though. I was recently wondering how Euron lost his eye, obviously there are lots of ways for an Iron Born to lose an eye, so it's probably not significant. But I did think maybe Euron put it out himself, maybe as some kind of sacrifice, or something. After this video, if Jon ends up losing a whole eye I would be certain Euron did it himself. Or maybe Euron saw Jon's scar over his eye from Orell's eagle and tried to give himself a cool scar and accidentally ended up putting out the whole damn eye!!
I have a question mark about his eye. I think he has it and it is black, it's not that he doesn't have an eye. From Theon's words, I understand that he just covers his dark eye and that it looks more menacing than his blue one. "Under it he wore a stained white leather eye patch that reminded Theon of his uncle Euron. He'd wanted to rip it off Umber's face, to make certain that underneath was only an empty socket, not a black eye shining with malice." And from the Forsaken chapter, I get the same thing. It's called blood eye because it speaks blood, but it is just dark and terrible. "Euron, the smiling eye hidden. He showed the world his blood eye now, dark and terrible." I don't knoooow I am confused😂 But I think he has his eye.
I think he does tbh, in the same phrase the dude says: These are the last days, when the world shall be broken and remade. A new god shall be born from the graves and charnel pits. [...] I am your king, I am your god. Worship me, and I will raise you up to be my priest.
I think he got the armor & horn from the same place he got the shade of the evening. From the Warlocks of Qaarth. The Warlocks went to Valyria. Euron hijacked their ship. Took their stuff, & is now claiming to have gone to Valyria.
Idk, if George himself hadn't said that the dude went indeed to Valyria, I would be as well very suspicious, but he said in a fanmeet that he went so...
Kinda late, but I can just put a pumpkin on the next video 😂 I promise I will make a creepy Xmas. Last year we had blood-drinking Roose this year we will have Nightfort and Night's King
If a rich collector would have the Valyrian steel armor in their possession Euron could have just stolen it from them in a raid. You generally steal from the rich and/or vulnerable. My first guess is an old family in Volantis. They are most likely to have it.
My question with that is why no one was talking about these stuff? If this was going around why people didn't talk about more we have heard plenty of conversations about stuff rich people have on their collections, even humans and it was never brought up, that "oh this rch guy is so rich that has valyrian artifacts" and stuff even if they didn't say what exactly. Plus, as I pinned in the comment, Euron went to valyria grrm has confirmed it, so I don't think that say but "what if he didn't?" really matters.
Another idea: Is it possible that Euron has already risen from the “charnel pits” like JS will that this is why he thinks he’s JS? Is it possible Euron has already died (likely in Valyria)?
During his exile I'm not sure, because his consumption of shade can give visions, he wouldn't need a near-death experience, but in his childhood, I think he might had.
I have no proof just an assumption based off of a prologue in i forget if it was in feast or a dance, but remember the acolyte of an archmaester who stole that key, gave it to someone who ended up killing the acolyte. I think that is where Euron got either the armor and/or the horn from. I don't think he actually walked on the land that was once the freehold, it's said the air is toxic quite a ways off of the shore, so far of that it is said if someone can see the shore they are too close, but then you'dhave to question how anyone would know that, and while it could be that the toxic air dispersed enough in what 5000 years or so for a person to survive seeing the shore, i doubt they could actually walk amongst the ruins, I haven't seen any conclusive evidence that someone could breath that air and live. He also attacked old town once before so he could have gotten them on separate occasions. The Valyrian's had more than just real-estate in Valyria, proof of that is Dragonstone, so it is entirely probable that he could have for one or both of those items from there. Euron is a liar, so it isn't a stretch to say he lied about actually being in Valyrian, he shows proof of the armor and horn, but why just that? If he did in fact go there and find stuff like that, then it is questionable as to why he didn't find more, and raise a fleet of his own to challenge whomever. The other question that you answered with why give the horn to his brother, if it can bind dragons, why didn't he make a stop in Meereen and take one himself? Unless it works in a way we don't know, but for now we only know that those with dragons blood in their veins can ride dragons, that is if the dragon acknowledges them. No I don't think blowing the horn will do anything other than agitate the dragons, unless someone like Dany blew it, or owned it.
GRRM has confirmed that Euron indeed went to Valyria (here ---> ruclips.net/video/HZGE4JWt71I/видео.html&ab_channel=Emilio). I doubt he is just bullshitting tbh.
If you haven't read From These Ashes by Fredric Brown and you like SF, you should 100% go for it. Edit: Shikasta by Doris Lessing is also very underrated and one that I really like.
Great Video, as always. Thank you for making it.🤗 BTW I never found it odd that Euron gave a magical Horn that kills the People who use it, to Victarion. Actually I just thought he just wanted to see all his Brother dead. And he wanted it in variations of Ways. So the question is even more significant, is Jon really dead,🤔 because no one else, Euron saw died at some point, believing that someone is dead after being stabbed multiple Times into the Body is understandable, I mean Robb is shot numerous times with Bolts and he is for sure dead. But Bran has only a near-death experience, he is in a Coma when Bloodraven communicates with him and according to your theory, Euron saw him during that. Daenerys is near Death after her stillbirth and probably also during her stepping into Drogos Funeral Pyre and during her visit to the House of the Undying, near Death but is always saved, by a magical ritual during the Pyre (as GRRM called it), by Drogo by burning the Undying and because of Miris Care after the Stillbirth (Miri says herself that she was one of the People who took care of Dany and no one corrects her, there would no consequences to correct her other than Daenerys punishing her Slave, so why does no one say that Miri didn't take Care of Daenerys, because she did take care of Daenerys) So there is a point that maybe Jon is also just in a Coma and him waking from it is interpreted by Euron to be resurrected ... wouldn't be the first time someone misinterprets his Visions ^^" Honestly, that's what I like about Eichiro Oda, he said (the very general translation that I found on the Internet): "I am careful with killing my Characters bringing them back is more problematic than letting them live in Case I need them at a later point" that makes the whole thing easier.
Even the most avid of one piece stans will tell you that Oda could have let a few characters actually die instead of giving us amazing significant death scenes only to then take away the actual death part. But the one and only widely acknowledged flaw in one piece aside, Jon's death and resurrection is really heavily foreshadowed, you gotta do some mental gymnastics to say Jon isn't dead after all the work George puts into establishing that wargs go into their animals when they die right in the book he chose to have Jon stabbed multiple times in. Also this could be total bullshit but I'm pretty sure I remember George saying something along the lines of "poor beric dondarion he was the foreshadowing for Jon all this time" when Jon was resurrected in the show.
@@pamelaguerra3768 And I remember that GRRM said with the same Breath: "Oh you think he (Jon) is dead?" Also, a lot of people think Arya is dead and ... yes we all know she is alive in Bravoos, learning to be an assassin. And Bran also warged into Summer after his Fall, not to mention Robb, so ... I am not totally sold on this whole Jon is dead idea, when the foreshadowing is questionable because it is crystal Clear. Everything we can easily see and realize or is put out in the Mouth of a Character no matter how small that Character is, is normally proven to be wrong and doesn't happen. And the fact that the Show went for that, is not an argument when you think how they handled the Story after they ran out of Source Material, I mean ... Dany burning Kings Landing because of Bells? Really? Oh and in terms of that Flaw in Odas Masterpiece, just let us settle with: We agree to disagree, I don't think that is a flaw. But I am very alone in the One Piece Fandom with that opinion.😔
@@swayback7375 A Slave is an employed worker who doesn't get paid, given the fact that Money is one of the keypoints on Multiple occassions in this Story, paying your employees is also important. So if you are so sure that Daenerys doesn't own Slaves please tell me the exact payment she gives to her servants! Just in Case Food and Shelter doesn't count, because Slaves get also Food and Shelter.
So, at first i didn't think i would agree with you, and im still not sure im on this theory 100 percent... But im thinking now more and more about the passage of Mel, saying "When I search for him all I see is Snow." And it makes a lot of sense that different people see the same visions, skewed to their on world view based on their beliefs and knowledge. But if Euron assumes one of his brothers will kill him, what is the purpose of the massive battle of blood brewing on the shores of Oldtown?
They are still seeing the tower vision and the stone beast, Euron one hundred percent sees it too, Quaithe was also talking about it and Mel is seeing it as well. Euron does have something in his mind and looks quite specific, even though we do not know exactly what. To me, it kind of looks like he wants to make a ritual with him involved, which would make sense considering that all the people who seem very much involved with the bigger game have already (Bran, Dany) or will (Jon) defy and "cheat" death from the look of it.
@@CompanyOfTheCat yeah, I get what you're saying. But to me, my expectations of Euro is that he will end up being the Saruman character of the story, which means he will need to be defeated by the forces of "good" after the long night is dealt with. If he simply dies because of his hubris (which is possible, I can't deny) then he's just a mirror of a generic Mad Targ... I know that mirroring the cleansing of the Shire will not happen exactly in the same way, I do trust George to come up with a neat way of "defeating" Euron, but I guess I won't be too disappointed if any of his brothers kill him... Actually, having Aeron kill him seems to me a better option than Victarion, but it does seem like Aerons days are numbered. Rip in salt
This is hilarious if true and I think your on to something Poor deluded Euron 😂 However it raises some issues because if he could see visions of Jon, Bran and Daenerys then that means he must have some very powerful psychic ability and will thus be hard to take down. I see Bran/Euron showdown in the future even if they never meet in person I think there would be a major psychic battle
Oh, he sure has power, the dude drinks shade he knows stuff. And I also think he will be a reason for the "official" arrival of the Long Night, that being said I doubt he will be resurrected and become a god 😂
Seems he must be some kind of a badass if he’s done half of what he claims… between the horn and the armor he already has, and the potential loot drop from raiding claw isle (Victarian coukd do that instead) and all the wicked blood magic he’s threatening to tap into… he’s definitely going to be a force to reckon with! The series doesn’t really count but it’s not to be totally dismissed either, the way the make the others kind of a weak sub-boss and Cersei was made into sort of a final boss, along with dany going mad (that’s not happening in the books, she’s not mad!)… I think there’s a good chance the books go this way too, Cersei will be no threat at all, and kings landing is going to be a BAD scene, greyscale plague, starvation, possibly burning at the hands of Joncon and probably more, that all be a minor threat at best… but euron will indeed be a real threat! Maybe not a final boss level threat, the whole book series is leading them being a very real threat… likely leveling the entire continent aside from a few stout castles and walled cities and islands by the others and the long night, euron will have free reign to terrorize anything and anywhere while the others hold humanity captive
Do you think he has a red eye on his sigil because he saw Bloodraven and also again assumed that it must be him some how like he thinks everyone he sees John Dany Bran etc in his visions?(❤great video 🎉!)
I don't believe Euron was exiled because he was cruel. It was more to do that he was exiled for seeking forbidden knowledge and questioning the Iron Born and the Drowned God.
I feal that your theory is true But I also feel that euron will awaken _somethig_ I don't know what will happen but something big has to happen, otherwise fans will be pissed and George knows that
Oh, he will, but I doubt it would be Cthulu 😂 Personally, I think that he will do whatever ritual he has in mind in Oldtown he will also blow the horn, which I doubt is only about a dragon either, but he will not survive whatever he thinks he will survive so he can be "reborn" and a "god".
I truly do NOT like the text floating over a the very fast moving background of still drawings that are no quite animations - that fast pan. It is uncomfortable. Hurts eyes and brain.
It is on top of the animation stills that the "camera" ( the perspective) keeps seemingly expanding - rolling back while the text which stays the same. 1109 to 12 57 OR SO : WEIRD SHIT EURON DOES (the perspective moves behind the text, sometimes fast. Sometimes the text seems to move in the opposite direction.@@CompanyOfTheCat

The whole raising Cthulu is kind of funny to me at this point not gonna lie😂
Euron would be the type to watch a Ryan Gosling movie and be like:
"Literally me."
love this comment so much 😂
Greeks are my new favourite Europeans now. 😁😁😁😁😁
😂
I think if anything he thinks hes bran flakes. He even has the flying vision
you videos light up my day khekhe
The other weird thing Euron says to Victarion that hints at dreaming of events in other plotlines in the story is his comment in that same passage about crabs in his belly, which is exactly how Hoster Tully describes his pain to Catelyn at Riverrun.
Great video, as always!!!! Good job!!!!
heyy, long time no comment, sorry about that.
He'd wanted to rip it off Umber's face, to make certain that underneath was only an empty socket, not a black eye shining with malice."
And from the Forsaken chapter, I get the same thing. It's called blood eye because it speaks blood, but it is just dark and terrible.
"Euron, the smiling eye hidden. He showed the world his blood eye now, dark and terrible."
I don't knoooow I am confused😂
But I think he has his eye.
Fantastic content!
Euron: I'm literally him
Of course - for a psychopath narcissist it is always all about him!
I shall watch this tomorrow, but just the title makes complete sense.
His sigil is the biggest proof he's linked or have some connection with bloodraven
I have some plot armor to trade him for that sweet valyrian steel shirt of his, if he really wants to commit to the bit
I am not sure Euton thinks he has to die in order to become a god
I think he does tbh, in the same phrase the dude says:
These are the last days, when the world shall be broken and remade. A new god shall be born from the graves and charnel pits. [...] I am your king, I am your god. Worship me, and I will raise you up to be my priest.
Oh that. Well I think that means he thinks _other people_ need to die for him to become a god! @@CompanyOfTheCat
We want creepy asoiaf story like nightfort for Halloween special!
Kinda late, but I can just put a pumpkin on the next video 😂
I promise I will make a creepy Xmas.
Makes Sense.
Great theory. It makes so much sense.
amanda recommened, i dont regret
Glad you enjoyed it! Amanda is my favorite ASOIAF person and when she recommended my channel in the live stream attempt I was having an overload😂
(with apologies to Carly Simon)
You're so vain...you probably think this prophecy is about you...
do you think its possible that during his exile euron had a similar near death experience to patch face?
During his exile I'm not sure, because his consumption of shade can give visions, he wouldn't need a near-death experience, but in his childhood, I think he might had.
"I'm Jon Snow and so's my wife!"
Good theory
@@CompanyOfTheCat I stand corrected then.
do you have any book recommendations ?
If you haven't read From These Ashes by Fredric Brown and you like SF, you should 100% go for it.
Edit: Shikasta by Doris Lessing is also very underrated and one that I really like.
@@CompanyOfTheCat thank you
Great Video, as always. Thank you for making it.🤗
BTW I never found it odd that Euron gave a magical Horn that kills the People who use it, to Victarion.
Daenerys is near Death after her stillbirth and probably also during her stepping into Drogos Funeral Pyre and during her visit to the House of the Undying, near Death but is always saved, by a magical ritual during the Pyre (as GRRM called it), by Drogo by burning the Undying and because of Miris Care after the Stillbirth (Miri says herself that she was one of the People who took care of Dany and no one corrects her, there would no consequences to correct her other than Daenerys punishing her Slave, so why does no one say that Miri didn't take Care of Daenerys, because she did take care of Daenerys)
So there is a point that maybe Jon is also just in a Coma and him waking from it is interpreted by Euron to be resurrected ... wouldn't be the first time someone misinterprets his Visions ^^"
Honestly, that's what I like about Eichiro Oda, he said (the very general translation that I found on the Internet): "I am careful with killing my Characters bringing them back is more problematic than letting them live in Case I need them at a later point" that makes the whole thing easier.
Dany owns no slaves
Rip in salt
χαῖρε! How did your Thesis go? Are you Dr. Cat & Co., Ph.D now?
I submitted it, but I haven't had my presentation yet also it's a master's thesis not a Ph.D one.
@@CompanyOfTheCat "Mistress Kitty" could work too, I suppose. I'll cross my fingers! Swing by the streams later, if you're still up. Cheers!
Interesting idea. I think there is truth to your idea.
This is hilarious if true and I think your on to something
Poor deluded Euron 😂
However it raises some issues because if he could see visions of Jon, Bran and Daenerys then that means he must have some very powerful psychic ability and will thus be hard to take down.
Wow, think your spot on
Simple and typical GRRM.
Your accent is amazing
You know nothing Euron Crows Eye
Delusion! Convince yourself 😂
AHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHA NNNNAI
I don't believe Euron was exiled because he was cruel. It was more to do that he was exiled for seeking forbidden knowledge and questioning the Iron Born and the Drowned God.
So he is kinda like Hugh the Hammer?
I feal that your theory is true
But I also feel that euron will awaken _somethig_
I don't know what will happen but something big has to happen, otherwise fans will be pissed and George knows that
Oh, he will, but I doubt it would be Cthulu 😂
Personally, I think that he will do whatever ritual he has in mind in Oldtown he will also blow the horn, which I doubt is only about a dragon either, but he will not survive whatever he thinks he will survive so he can be "reborn" and a "god".
I truly do NOT like the text floating over a the very fast moving background of still drawings that are no quite animations - that fast pan. It is uncomfortable. Hurts eyes and brain.
I use for many videos now, the animations from the Histories & Lore, you mean you don't like having text on top of the right?
It is on top of the animation stills that the "camera" ( the perspective) keeps seemingly expanding - rolling back while the text which stays the same.
1109 to 12 57 OR SO : WEIRD SHIT EURON DOES (the perspective moves behind the text, sometimes fast. Sometimes the text seems to move in the opposite direction.@@CompanyOfTheCat

He is living his "main character" fantasy. Let him feel his oats 😂
nah, victarion will get to danaerys, yes, but she will end up claiming the horn, see, fire cant kill a dragon, so she can blow it without harm, then youll maybe see dragons being born all over and end of the world and that, no happy ending
