Jannie de wit, ( tyre fryer v8 ecort) , raymond( 2jz hilux white one), plus v8 lumina club chairman , and few other privateers put THEIR OWN MONEY and time ..to bring midvaal back.owner was asset rich , cash poor.
Where the startline is today, there was a BIG TREE...slap bang in the middle.
The two lanes were completely resurfaced to the main track., tyres, barriers, conveyor belts supplied and fitted.
The grass was 6ft high all around the rusted tower and benches.
Thanks to these few, drag racing survived in the region , while tarlton was closed with family issues.
We all need to stand together and support events, tracks, racers etc to grow the sport 🙏🏻🙏🏻
